It looks like Wes is about to do some surgery or something on Elena, and with anesthesia. I wouldn't be surprised if everything starts out under control until Stefan and Damon piss him off. I'm pretty sure Enzo is a means to an end. He probably won't last far beyond this episode. He's a way to distract Damon. I hope Elena finds a way to break herself out. I'm so, so tired of her needing to be rescued by everyone else. Is it wrong that I hope someone mentions that Wes probably hasn't gotten any in a while? He's badass, but he's also a science geek. It also looks like he doesn't know that Grayson is still alive. He must not be very far up in the organization.
Long-winded reply coming. I've been thinking the same thing about Enzo, and that Grayson Gilbert sent him to kill Megan, either to keep her quiet about Grayson being alive or to protect Elena. Enzo might be like those prisoners that spend so much time locked up that they have trouble living in the outside world on their own when they get out. It would explain why he encouraged Damon to focus on revenge. He didn't want Damon to end up like him. If Enzo DID escape after Damon left him, maybe he found someone to restart Augustine. That would get him a title. Probably any Augustine can send Enzo off to do their bidding and he'll come right back again. That doesn't mean that Stefan and Damon won't kill him, though. It would be funny if Aaron stepped in and helped them take him out. What confuses me is that Wes talks about Grayson like he thinks he's dead, unless when he said, "It's a good thing your father isn't alive to see this," or something to that effect, he was actually talking about Jonathan. I've also wondered idly if Wes might BE Grayson after having a lot of work done, but there would be too many holes in the story if it turns out that way. The timing isn't right. If Wes genuinely believes that Grayson is dead, then either Wes is being used or Grayson is doing something else with Augustine behind his back. Wes helped cover up Megan's death, so how could he not have known about the picture on her cell phone, unless someone kept him from seeing it? It's almost halfway through the season, but there have been turnarounds before where the Big Bad turned out to be someone or something completely unexpected.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Sounds epic :D
