Hi all,
I'm back with the next round of the Episode Competition. Just as a quick recap, here's the spreadsheet containing all the results so far.
7 of the 8 seeds made it through, with the exception of The Good Wife's 'Hitting the Fan'. The other major surprise was Arrow's 'The Scientist' triumphing over Breaking Bad's 'Felina'. On the whole, the results have been as expected, despite a recovery at the last hurdle by Bad's 'Ozymandias' to beat Reign's 'Left Behind', which had previously looked set to be won by Reign. The rest of the results can be found on the main Episode Competition label.
So, now we progress into Round 2!
The rules are as follows:
1. Two episodes go head to head for 24 hours. The episode that emerges as winner will go through to the next round.
2. Vote for your favourite episode, and tell us what you voted for.
3. Tell others about the competition.
4. Be respectful. This is a competition, but be friendly.
We have some massive ties today. We begin with The Mentalist's 'My Blue Heaven' against Bones's wedding episode. Next, we have Chicago Fire's 'You Will Hurt Him' against Supernatural's midseason finale.
We then move onto Game of Thrones and its Red Wedding episode competing against Supernatural's season 8 finale. Finally we have The Good Wife's recent midseason finale against Arrow's season 1 finale.

Picked both Supernaturals( although from what I hear of the Rains of Castamere it seems like the better episode) and Arrow.

ReplyDeleteI the biggest shock of 2013 for me, I actually voted for Game of Thrones because there was no way I was voting for Supernatural's Sacrifice. Sucky end to a horrendous season. Of all the choices, Arrow's Sacrifice is still my favorite.

The Good Wife.
"The Decision Tree" was a HUGE episode this year. So soon after the game-changing "Hitting the Fan" (which could have rightly won this competition on its own merits) they hit us with another landmark episode, (which was also the 100th episode) where we got to see the extent of the damage done by all the changes that had taken place this season. There were some serious layers of tension, implications of what will come from all the power plays going on, amazing visual cues, an unbelievable court room scene, and a glorious spit-take at the end. [CHILLS]

My Blue Heaven - The Mentalist
ReplyDeleteMentalist, SPN, SPN, and Good Wife. Don't watch GOT so it was easy to pick both SPN's. Also, don't watch Arrow, so again, easy to pick Good Wife.

ReplyDeleteI stopped watching Supernatural after season 3 (I think), however the idea of any SPN ep being better than Rains of Castamere (or any GoT ep really) seems riddiculous.

So happy to see Arrow making a splash. As much as I love SPN, just couldn't vote for them in comparison to the episode they were up against, especially, Game of Thrones.

ReplyDeleteAs much as I love supernatural and last season finale, it really can't compare to game of thrones' reigns of castamere.
