The Originals has cast SGU Stargate Universe alumna Elyse Levesque in a recurring role as the redheaded witch Genevieve, TVLine has learned exclusively.

The seductive and deceptive Genevieve returns to New Orleans with a mysterious agenda and some unfinished business with Rebekah and Marcel. Could it have something to do with the secret the former lovebirds share, as teased in Tuesday’s fall finale?

Levesque first appears in Episode 13.

    Unfinished business with Marcel and Rebekah? Sounds interesting considering the last time they were together was almost acentury ago. So it was either to do with one of her ancestors or she's found a magical way to keep herself young.

    In Season 3 Klaus & Stefan went to visit Gloria (who they knew back in the 1920s). If this witch ties into what happened in 1919 she could potentially still be alive - but she looks too young.
