I'm hoping that Crowley's plan doesn't work and we get Samdriel for a while longer. I like Jared Padalecki's acting in the role and just once Sam and Dean should be split up for a few episodes by something in order to really sell how much they need each other. We've got eight seasons of them getting split up momentarily just to find each other right away (in show time). Do something different.
I just going to say holy crap and Poor everybody WHY 5 WEEK WHY! OH what a great song that been in my head watching the show is Say something by a great big world I hope one day they will have a SPN vid for that song it is a great song and sad perfect for SPN.
It may be unpopular but I agree. Not only would we lose JP's acting as both Sam and Gadreel but Gadreel was clearly uncomfortable with Metatron's plan and looked regretful at killing Kevin; Gadreel needs a mini redemption arc otherwise nearly the entire "Samzekiel arc" was a bust, especially if the only fallout is a still dying Sam an uberguilty Dean.
Gadreel was in charge the whole time when Dean tried to speak to Sam about the secret, right? So Sam still doesn't know about this secret. That means we're probably going to get something even bigger than the small fight they got in tonight's ep. Oh gosh, I'm scared! :O
Can't wait until it comes back! 5 weeks! GAH! I don't think I'll be able to survive that long. The next ep looks really good! I hope these next weeks go fast! :)
I'm actually thinking that once Sam hears the entire story, like how Dean thought he was actually confessing to Sam and what happened after, then Sam might let Dean off the hook a bit? As in, maybe Dean already knew that he screwed up badly (like there's no worse punishment than the guilt of Kevin's death). Also, I feel like the real Sam would be able to rationalize that Dean did whatever he did to save Sam's life at the time at that he was duped.
I would love to, but I don't think so, at last not at first. After thinking about it, I really, really hope he'll forgive Dean soon.
I wonder how Sam will survive after this. I thought he was going to allow "Ezekiel" to continue curing/living in him for a while, but after this, I have no idea.
I hope Crowley isn't 100% mercenary but instead has grown to appreciate Sam despite himself at least enough not to want to see him subjugated by an angel.
exactly!!! Did The Vesta(episode 9.08) tell Sam that he is practically dead inside? so how exactly Sam's gonna servive this?Oh God i can't wait for this
I sincerely hope he doesn't let him off the hook. Dean did something stupid, but him beating himself up about it doesn't give him the right to get off scot free. Remember when Sam let Lucifer out? He knew he fucked up really badly, but Dean gave him so much shit.
My guess is Sam isn't actually gone and that Dean will convince Gad to let him speak to Sam at some point because I don't think they'll be able to expel the angel without killing Sam so he will likely have to stick around for a while (I'm going with the end of the season). Sam will finally learn the truth when he wakes up strapped in the chair and tells Dean he should have let Sam die then none of this would have happened then Kevin would still be alive. That Sam's life is not more important than anyone elses. Sam will try to eject the angel but wont be able to because his soul has been slowly drained so now he's stuck and Dean gets more time to come up with a solution. In the end Gad will offer Dean a new deal, he will stay and heal Sam if Dean helps him to complete his mission. Sam stays possessed till probably the last few episodes of the season, Dean continues to drive the mythology and stays in that dark place. Cas stays and helps, Crowley makes his escape. Sam is gone till the end of the season. We see Gad becoming more human as the season goes on and end up being an ally and healing Sam like promised.
That ties in with the mentioned storylines spoken about at BurCon
-Dean going Dark -more Zeke(Gad) -no mention of a storyline for Sam other than him feeling suicidal in the immediate aftermath of fining out the truth -Dean and Zeke(Gad) bonding -the actor playing Zeke(Gas's) origonal vessel returning later in the season
he'll only be helping because he'll get something out of it, getting free from the bunker and going back to what he used to do I doubt it has anything to do with Sam.
I think he has way too much fun duking it out with the boys to let an angel ruin it :D And of course an angel inside Lucifer's vessel is a terrible thing for anyone who wants to be king. Plus he might have Dean in his debt. I think he'll stab the boys in the back at some point since he is still a demon but he got really really close to being cured so I think he isn't immune to feeling some kind of alliance.
I gotta say I didn't expect to see this threesome and it looks exciting. Great dynamic possibilities.
That's true, I forgot about that! All I ask is that everyone come out of the next episode alive (and for Kevin to be resurrected lol) and then everyone can be mad at each other for all I care. Just stay alive!
Yes, that (especially Kevin! His death completely destroyed me.) We know Sam and Dean will be okay, eventually, they're the stars. No such reassurance for everyone else!
I'm completely serious about this. I think it would be a good storyline for both Js if Dean puts his anger aside for a moment and convinces Gadreel to be a 'double agent' and that helping the angels back home would do more to rehab his reputation that another angel falling for Metatron's 'compliments'. Both Winchesters have put their anger at their transgressor aside to work towards the larger goal. Metatron knows Sam is hosting Gadreel already so no pressing need for Gadreel to ditch Sam for a new vessel. Sam wants to help the angel dicks get home to so the Winchesters can lock the Pearly Gates, so Sam's and Gadreel's goals would be the same though not for the same reasons.
I like your ideas. I was hoping that Gadreel would think of this himself but it appears Naomi and her angels were not alone in forgetting their original mission.
I was wondering about that too. But if Gadreel intends to keep this vessel it would be in his best interests to repair the damage. He doesn't appear to be inclined to abandon Sam and retake the original vessel.
As i was reading the comments bout tuesday episode the first thing that came up in my mind is now its time for Crowley to step up and now this promo confirmed it lol
I hope he doesn't either, but the historical pattern of the way this show handles Sam in those situations suggests it'll blow over in an episode or two. Whereas Dean pretends like he's gotten over something Sam's screwed up, but drops these passive-aggressive comments for the rest of the season. And I hate they've turned Dean's character into THAT GUY. Why does he have to be a jackass. And why does Sam always have to be the one to do the monumentally dumb crap that makes everyone hate him?
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Aw, Cas is in the trenchoat again. And whoa at Dean letting Crowley go to save Sam. Poor Sam, though.
ReplyDeleteStupid hiatus, but at least it isn't all that long.
Poor Sam...Poor Dean...Please how am I going to survive this hellatus???
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping that Crowley's plan doesn't work and we get Samdriel for a while longer. ReplyDeleteI love the idea of Cas, Dean and Crowley working together. So much conflict and drama between them. It'll be fun...if they don't screw it up.

ReplyDeleteWhere did Cas get that trenchcoat? Does it come with angel grace?
ReplyDeleteGadreel was in charge the whole time when Dean tried to speak to Sam about the secret, right? So Sam still doesn't know about this secret. That means we're probably going to get something even bigger than the small fight they got in tonight's ep. Oh gosh, I'm scared! :O

I really wished that Cas had moved on from the trench coat. Sigh.

ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of the holidays in the best of times, but to add the hellatus to it just makes it worse. ;)
ReplyDeleteMan i would love to see the behind the scenes/gag reel for that scene with Jared strapped to the chair.
ReplyDeleteI would love to, but I don't think so, at last not at first.
ReplyDeleteAfter thinking about it, I really, really hope he'll forgive Dean soon.

ReplyDeletenot to mention the writers will have an excuse not to write for Sam at all but still get to have Jared pop up as the angel every so often,
ReplyDeleteI sincerely hope he doesn't let him off the hook. Dean did something stupid, but him beating himself up about it doesn't give him the right to get off scot free. Remember when Sam let Lucifer out? He knew he fucked up really badly, but Dean gave him so much shit.

ReplyDeleteThat's a new coat, better fitting and more flattering. Kudos to the wardrobe dept.

ReplyDeleteSam & Dean were both responsible for letting Lucifer free after all it was Dean who broke the first seal.
ReplyDeleteAs i was reading the comments bout tuesday episode the first thing that came up in my mind is now its time for Crowley to step up and now this promo confirmed it lol
ReplyDeletethink of the jokes and insults that will be exchanged between them three lol
ReplyDeleteI hope he doesn't either, but the historical pattern of the way this show handles Sam in those situations suggests it'll blow over in an episode or two. ReplyDeleteIf only the writers put that much thought into character motivations.
ReplyDeleteThey should've put wings on the back of the new trenchcoat, like Daryl on The Walking Dead has the wings on the back of his vest.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to finally see something happening with Crowley rather than him being stuck in that room forever!
ReplyDeleteLooks awesome :)
ReplyDeleteAah poor Sam! but hope Crowley solves this out alongside with Dean and Cas. Looks action-packed and fantastic.
