  1. Oh God, poor Sam. I wondered when he'd realize he's been losing time.

And damn it, Dean, stop lying! You're not good at this at all.

This isn't going to end well.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Of course you would Dean.

Sam should know. Both he and Dean have lied to each other before.

Sam is so not going to be a happy camper when he finds out the truth.

  3. :) :) :) *SCREAMING ON THE INSIDE* NooooooOoOoooope!!!If this made me feel so scared and nervous then the whole thing is gonna send me over the edge X_X I feel so worried and excited at the same time!!!Jared tweeted a few hours ago that this is one of the best episodes ever!!!Ahhhh!!!

    ReplyDelete
  4. Well, it's about time Sam started noticing he was missing time! I was thinking that would be a thread throughout the past 9 episodes but better late than never . . . I guess!

    ReplyDelete
  5. Oh look at that some of those "filler" episodes being tied into the season storyline.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I agree; Zeke must be pretty convincing to cause Dean to lie so badly, And wrong episode number, hon, it's the sneak peek for 9.09.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Ah, thanks! Will fix it.

    ReplyDelete
  8. No problem :). I can't wait for tomorrow!

    ReplyDelete
  9. You know I actually don't think Sam thinks Dean would lie to him. He should know, but he clearly doesn't. I guess that's why he will feel so devastated!

    ReplyDelete
  10. GOD! Dean is acting SO SUSPICIOUS! It's so OBVIOUS he's lying!!! And he's lied to Sam before! How can Sam not see this?! Urg! It drives me nuts!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Oh Dean, no, asking "Would I lie?" is just going to make it worse! Oh gosh, when this is revealed, shit is going to hit the fan. I can't wait for this episode, but at the same time I'm dreading it because I just know they're going to leave us with a big cliffhanger that we will have to struggle with for over a month!

Oh God, I'm still not ready for this!

  12. The thing is, Zeke was pretty clear that he could wipe Sam's memory of whatever he wanted. So he COULD have taken Sam's memory of where they were the last time Sam was "awake". Zeke is leaving breadcrumbs that will raise Sam's suspicions, possibly to separate Sam and Dean, but he has the ability to NOT leave them by wiping enough of Sam's memory, or altering his memory slightly so Sam would never notice. All he had to do was make Sam "remember" telling Dean he was going to take a nap and then the extra miles wouldn't even be noticed by Sam.

I'm less upset than a lot of people about Sam not noticing and confronting Dean because we simply don't know what Zeke is letting him remember and what he isn't letting Sam remember. Plus Sam doesn't know how hurt he was. He does know that for an angel to take possession he has to say YES, but since Sam doesn't even remember the time when he was dying, he doesn't remember saying yes to Dean, let alone an angel that he had and has no idea exists. What we know and what Sam knows are very different. I don't have any problem with it taking so long for Sam to question what is going on. I do question why Zeke is letting Sam know that he is losing time.

  13. yesssssssssssssssssss you would dean as you call it "your game face"

  14. If this is the spisode where the brothers fall out again and separate for X number of episodes then, I'm NOT looking forward to it. I'm just so over the brothers being angry and not talking/ understanding each other.

I want them on the same page fighting a common terrifying enemy, not each other.
    x

This episode is penned by the worst writers of Supernatural imo, which also makes me fear for what will happen. They haven't written a decent /canon-friendly episode yet!
    x

They have shown us two sneak peeks, both of brother scenes, which probably means that ep all about something else (angels ) and not S/D.
    x

I believe I read that JP said it was a great ep, and when he has said things like that before I personally have not liked the episode. We must have differen tastes. Lol.
    x

Oh well, we had a good episode last week, so a bad one is due, but I'm not going to watch until I read how it went down.
I DO hope however that it turnes out better than what I'm expecting.
Maybe this will be the Buckner Ross-Lemming unicorn!

    ReplyDelete
  15. moments from some of the filler episodes yes those episodes were still filler though

    ReplyDelete
  16. maybe because Sam trusts Dean implicitly and believe he would never lie ro him now that they are suppossed to be on good terms again?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Jared tends to like the episodes where he got lots of time of so yeah not going with JP on this one and I dont know how many episodes they'll be seperated but Jared had a lot of time off during the filming of 11 which is all Dean and Cain stuff. 12 is also said to be Dean centric and see's the return of Dean's friend Garth. So possibly Dean and Sam/Zeke might be hunting together again quite quickly (episode 13 or so)?

    ReplyDelete
  18. He's especially bad at it when he (a) doesn't have his heart in it and (b) feels guilty about the lie.

We all knew this was going to end badly when it started. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  19. Who's this Cain person? I must have missed that.

Asfor JP, it makes me smile that you should say he likes the eps. he's not in. lol.
    That sounds so illogical.

He should like the ones where he's had a lot of acting time with good scenes.
    x

Then for me three eps of them being angry and apart from each other, are three eps too many!

Ooh Dean liar liar pants on fire lol. Things are going to go in a million ways here, Zeke can't keep a leash on Sam anymore, he's just too smart for that. I hope the boys figure a way out to sort their stuff out quickly. Dean does want to say but with Zeke threats... However Zeke should've seen the signs with Sam cracking through!.
I think this will be a awesome episode leaving it with a massive suspense :)

    ReplyDelete
  21. I think what makes this whole thing even sadder is that it seems like Sam hasn't
really been willing to challenge Dean. I think in some of the previous seasons
Sam would have already accused Dean of keeping secrets but it's like Sam doesn't
even want to go there this time until he absolutely has to. It's probably gonna
make the revelation even more damaging.

    ReplyDelete
  22. SpoilerTV has become such an unfriendly anti-Dean space. Very negative and off-putting unless you're a Sam fan. Noticed it from reading comments under articles and reviews lately, if you try to defend Dean you get thumbs down. I'm surprised by those who claim to like both yet bash Dean all the time and never think Sam does anything wrong or blame Dean for stuff Sam does wrong. Think fans have been driven away by all the negativity about Dean and it's a Sam fan only zone these days. Shame fans have been driven away so a two-sided discussion can't take place. You either agree Sam's a Saint and Dean's scum or you're not welcome here :(

  23. Cain is the first Knight of Hell who I think gave up the life when he fell in love, the actor who plays he aparently didnt meet Jared at all during filming.

    ReplyDelete
  24. not seeing any clear examples in this thread

    ReplyDelete
  25. Ezekiel is...

Zeke to Dean: "Lie or I'll leave and your brother dies".

*Dean lies the hell of out of him, even if it kills him to do it.*

    ReplyDelete
  26. Thanks.

Cain the first murderer and Cain the first knight of Hell. Definitely a little connection there, at least name-wise!
    x

So in that case ,Abaddon wasn'the only one to survive.

Wonder why they didn't pop up with Lucifer, but of course I know the answer; no canon continuity.
I think I'll be more surprised when we do get a correct canon reference from these two writers.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'm scared of Cain's character, tbh. It always amused me to imagine how it would be for Dean, his little bother's protector to meet Cain, a man who killed his innocent little brother. I used to think what Dean would day to him, how he would 'kick his ass', so to speak.

Now I'm scared of how they'll interact, what he will say to Dean. Jensen saying that Dean is in a very dark place isn't helping at all.:'(

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hmm! If this Cain turns out to be the biblical one, turned into a demon, then yes, it's scary to think that Dean might be in some way encouraged to do what Cain did, and kill his brother.
    x

I'm scared too , honestly; this whole 'Sam is too damaged to ever be cured or even to be alive is very worrying!
I would hate for poor Dean to be forced to hurt Sam, and I would aslo hate it if Sam dies and we're left with Zeke inside his body.

I just hope the writers have given serious thought to this story-line for Dean saying that he's in a very dark place is upsetting. :(

    ReplyDelete
  29. Well in this case Dean did do something actually wrong. I think most can agree with that ,. I do not understand why Dean cannot be questioned over what he does ? and I have not seen on mass hate aimed at him.

I dont know considering the places out there that treat Sam worst than 'scum' as you put it then this place is the least of a problem . But if you feel Dean doesnt get fair treatment then I do not know what to say to you. You need to keep in mind that this situation was not of Sam's making and sadly it will be one that will have huge fallout.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I had a bizarre thought: maybe Zeke wants Dean to call his bluff, so Zeke can reveal himself to Sam, so Sam can make an informed choice, i.e., Zeke has been hiding out in Sam (the Enochian carvings on his ribs make 'Samzekiel" invisible to all angels - something his previous vessel lacked) and now Zeke's done hiding out. He's ready to put any plan he in motion as Zeke's back to full strength (or near) thanks to draining Sam's soul power. (Souls can recharge - it just takes time). I think Zeke was on the run already - we saw him debark the bus and then get back on in response to Dean's prayer.

    ReplyDelete
  31. "I just hope the writers have given serious thought to this story-line, for Jensen saying Dean's in a very dark place is upsetting. :("
I'm concerned about Sam or Sam/Zeke's storyline post 9.10 - I've read reports coming out of #BurCon that "Sam's curing demons' sl/arc was completely dropped.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I agree with TVMonkey, I'm not seeing 'anti-Dean' comments either, just posters pointing out Dean is lying again - which he is. Most posters either fully agree or at least empathize with Dean's decision to allow Ezekiel access to heal Sam. Dean puts 'Sammy alive' above everything else - it was a perfectly "in character" decision for Dean to make.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I've been catching up on SPN articles etc and I mean in general this has turned into an anti-Dean site sadly, not this thread but since it's active I thought I'd mention it because it's a sad change from what it used to be.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think the other posters who have pointed out that Sam doesn't expect Dean to lie to him this persistently because as Coma!Sam told ComaDeanSam "... Because we hugged it out in the Church and now we're going to Disneyland" (i.e., No more secrets or lies between us)
Or - Ezekiel has been flooding Sam's system with Angel Prozac/passivity 'pills'
Or - its another 'writers' fail" - the writers seem to like taking turns 'dumbing down' both of boys from time to time.
At the moment, to me, all options are equally likely.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Well, in Sacrifice, when Dean was trying to stop Sam from completing the trials and killing himself, I felt that he only threw in the reasons ( "Pulling souls from hell, curing demons, ganking a Hellhound! ") simply to make Sam listen and renounce the last trial. So I'm not in the least surprised that the writers have completely forgotten about those things.
    x

However after Vesta too confirming that Sam is a walking dead man, I'm more worried about what they have in store for the Winchesters. Sam finding out about Ezekiel might be the least important thing of all that's to come! :(

    ReplyDelete
  36. Yeah... pretty much how I assume at least part of their conversation went.

    ReplyDelete
  37. The thing is "the Sam's mission will be to cure all the demons he can" was the subject of many post SDCC 2013 interviews with not only JP but Carver/Singer as well... so not just Jared saying this, many articles were also saying this and that "Dean's decisions would drive the mythology this season and that Dean would feel guilt".
Re: your second paragraph although I want Sam well again I'm fearful of another insta-fix if JA is concerned about completing his storylines - not that I blame him - but not at the expense of a satisfactory conclusion of JP's sls.
(Crude example - in an "upcoming episode" Dean has SamZeke in another Holy Fire Ring - and says 'Fix my brother now or I'll stab to you death with an angel blade since my brother was suicidal anyway"; Zeke: "Woah, don't need to get tough! Anything you say, Dean"; Sam "Dean, I'm healed!"; Dean puts out Holy Oil Fire and Zeke exists Sam. The End of Samzekiel ;))

    ReplyDelete
  38. If we look at s8, the writers dropped all the story-arcs half way through, changing everything, so maybe this is the same thing.
If they were going to let Sam cure demons, then why have him so tied up with Zeke, and then go with the brother drama which will probably happen when Sam finds out?
Maybe the curing demons will take place in the second half of the season.

    X
Your example about the holy oil is very clear, but we don't know if Ezekiel is even capable of curing Sam.

The way it seems to me at the moment, is that if the angel exits Sam; Sam's dead.

Then I'm not so sure Zeke is evil; after all he only offered his help when Dean sent out an emergency call.

If on the other hand if Zeke is able to heal Sam, I find that it would be less insta-fix this time than it was when Castiel took away his Hellucinations.
Of course maybe the writers do have another idea on how to heal Sam that may be more satisfying, but.......!

As for Dean, I first thought that his 'dark moment 'would be because he argues with Sam, but could be there is something more.
However, as I have no trust or creative expectations from these writers, I wouldn't hope for too much.
Then there are a whole lot of angel/ guest star/ ghostfacer eps to come which will detract from the main story-arc, leaving less time to dedicate to the Winchesters' story-lines anyway! :(

    ReplyDelete
  39. You think Cain the Knight of hell will be the Cain of 'Cain and Abel'?

    ReplyDelete
  40. Jared said he had to ask the writers for Sam to be included in the narrative this season so it probably means that there isnt much going on for Sam for a while at least

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yeah, I don't think anyone ever would be able to convince Dean of killing Sam, but like you said, it's the conversation between them that makes me very uneasy.

BUT, like you said, Sam's condition makes me very scared.

We don't know what will happen with Sam/Ezekiel after episode 10. Maybe Sam decides to let him 'stay' until the heaven and demons stuff are fixed and then he wants him gone - and Sam dies**. Dean's dark place would be because he isn't only facing what he did, but also because he will have to let Sam go, pretty much applying to himself what he told boy in episode 7.

** Of course that Supernatural will end when/if it happens. In my dark and painful imagination, that's going to happen on season 10. If the boys don't sign up beyond season 10, that is.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Yeah, I do. Not only because of the name, but also because he's described as "father of murder", which Cain was - he was the first person to kill a human being, his little brother.

Of course that the character will have Supernatural's own mythology, with the first Knight of Hell and such, but yeah, I think they'll take Cain's story for the character.

  43. I was being really facetious in my Holy Oil example, implying that Zeke could heal Sam at any time once he had sufficiently healed himself, he just didn’t feel like it until Dean got “tough”. That’s was my example of an insta fix that most certainly do not want - but I don’t really think healing Sam is that easy for Zeke to do – in fact I think it’s very hard and I agree if Zeke is forced to leave Sam for any reason in the near future Sam will die.

I think if Zeke tells Dean in tonight’s ep or one of the early post Winter break episodes that he’s now at full power and ready to reheal Sam – after all, for multiple episodes he was either healing Sam or resurrecting people – then, I won’t have a problem with Sam being healed in a very short time – but I need actual Sam/Zeke dialog this time, no off-screen stuff.

I am going with Zeke not having evil intent, too, as there was no reason I can think of for Zeke to have prior knowledge that Sam was dying and Dean would pray for help unless Zeke is working with or for Metatron and he knew somehow that Sam hadn’t completed the trials and was dying anyway. But angels have never been prescient on the show so Metatron could not have predicted that Dean would ask for angelic help. There is still the question of what Zeke will, ask as Dean’s favor – fulfilling his part of their deal might leave “Dean in a dark place”.

If Zeke cannot heal Sam maybe there’s something in the MoL Bunker that will but I think that would have come up by now – maybe not, though if the writers are calling Zeke a Bandaide and not a permanent fix; maybe the writers do have another solution in mind in a future episode.

I definitely agree about the Ghostfacers ‘episode’ – worthless filler but I think I’d rather have them back than Krissy, although with my luck we may have both of these entities back, On the plus side with GF – they have a connection with both boys whereas Krissy episodes are always highly Dean centric.

  44. I'm just glad both Jared and Jensen had their meeting last week to air their concerns. Crossing fingers that both "Dean" and "Sam" will get at least part of their 'wish lists'.

    ReplyDelete
  45. well there not going to be after this.

    ReplyDelete
  46. In other words, he's stupid now? Yes. Yes I agree. To me that is the definition of stupidity. Just the last season he tricked him into thinking the woman he loved was in danger and he kept Benny a secret from him. He'd have to be a moron to think that somehow Dean wouldn't keep something from him now, especially if it had to do with his own well being.

    ReplyDelete
  47. >.I'm scared too; honestly this whole 'Sam is too damaged to ever be cured or even to be alive' is very worrying!<

Unless at the end of this season God actually finally shows up for real and in the flesh, so to speak, and pulls a literal deus ex machina. I mean, why not? Plus, it's the LEAST he could do for Sam, and the Winchesters in general. I've been morbidly curious about SPN-God since he was confirmed to really exist four or five seasons ago.

    ReplyDelete
  48. He's not a moron - he's just written that way.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Oh yes, it could definitely happen IMO.

The terrible situation Sam seems to be in health-wise, calls for the hand of God to cure him. I mean if the writers pull out some silly little spell or something, it will be very anti-climatic and I can't believe thay would ever seriously consider killing off the real Sam.The show would be over!

Then as you say, if anyone deserves a reward for what they have suffered it's Sam and Dean.

I'm absolutely sure that the SPN god will show up sooner or later. His absence has been made such a big thing by all the players and his appearance would put an end to all the angek squabbling,
If I'm not mistaken he was the one who pulled the Winchesters from the Chapel when Lucifer was released, so he must be hanging out somewhere near!

Then like you I am curious about where he is and why he left.
I could see it happening more at the end of the series though, when all the other cards have been played.
