Regina being on a path of redemption. There is nothing sick and twisted
about the Swan Queen ship. You don't like it? Ignore it. There is no
need to spew hate. There a plenty of ships I don't get or even can't
stand, but I don't go around hating on those ships.

Who cares about the odds of it? The truth is you never know what's going to happen on the show, and people can like whatever they want. In fact the only reason I don't ship it is because I like Captain Swan better, and there would be conflict of interests. ReplyDeleteSeriously? Jessica came out to defend us and you attack her for it? I ship SQ, totally and absolutely. I don't see Captain Swan, and as Jessica said, those two ships contain a conflict of interest for most people. That is, you can't really ship both, unless you're a multi-shipper. You see what you see and you like what you like. Don't attack other shippers just because they ship something you don't like. The show isn't over yet, so we can't say what will happen in the end.

ReplyDeleteIt's totally fine if you don't ship it dude. But I can't think of any destiel shipper who thinks that Dean begging for his life and Cas beating him up was romantic... Cas stopping his attack / overcoming his programming because Dean asked him to is what they see as an 'act of love' as you call it. You don't have to ship it, but it seems a bit unfair to think destiel shippers are glamorizing abuse of any kind.

ReplyDeleteThe Winds of Winter is expected publication is 2015. It could be before or much later we just don't know. One thing that I do know is that this show will caught up.
ReplyDeleteSeason 4 of GoT is going to cover the second half of 'A Storm of Swords' and bits of 'A Feast For Crows' and 'A Dance With Dragons'. So even if 'Winds of Winter' is coming out in 2015, the show STILL will not have caught up to the books BY THE TIME THE NEXT BOOK COMES OUT. Obviously the show will catch up at some point, because Martin works with no deadlines and can take 7 years to finish. But Wind of Winter is due in the next year or two, and it would literally be impossible for the show to catch up to where the books are now until season 6 earliest, and that's being optimistic.

ReplyDeleteconsidering the fact how many tv shows deal with canon couples (hint: not very well, contrived plot etc) and how they let would-be-couples with chemistry go to waste simply because they cling to the supposed straightness of the characters, it's not surprising.
ReplyDeleteIt does say "couples / duos" so the pairings don't have to be a romantic pairing, and even if romantic (such as Dean/Cas) they certainly don't have to be explicitly canon to count.
