-Ratings Breakdown:
It was a typical Sunday overnight victory for NBC, which featured the Carolina Panthers at the New Orleans Saints on “Sunday Night Football” at an estimated 12.4 rating/20 share in households from 8:30-11 p.m. Earlier in the evening was pre-game “Football Night in America” at a 1.8/ 3 (#4) at 7 p.m., a 4.1/ 7 at 7:30 p.m. (#3) and a dominant 8.4/13 in the 8 p.m. half-hour. Results for all live sporting events, of course, are approximate.
In season-finale news, two hours of “The Amazing Race” perked up to a 6.3/10 in the overnights from 8-10 p.m., which was just three percent below the 6.5/10 on the year-ago evening (and that translated into 9.35 million viewers and a 2.6 rating/6 share among adults 18-49, based on the live plus same day data). Granddaddy “60 Minutes” finished second in the 7 p.m. hour with an 8.4/13, while “The Mentalist” was above average at 10 p.m. with a second-place 6.6/11.
Elsewhere, Fox got a boost care of an NFL Primetime Football Overrun, which topped the night at a 16.6/27 at 7 p.m. Next was post-game “The OT” at a 10.9/18 at 7:30 p.m., followed by the animated block of “The Simpsons” (#3: 4.5/ 7), “Bob’s Burgers” (#4: 3.1/ 5), “Family Guy” (#4: 3.6/ 5) and “American Dad” (#4: 3.0/ 5) from 8-10 p.m.
ABC had nothing unusual to report, meanwhile, with its line-up of “America’s Funniest Home Videos” (#3: 4.0/ 6), fading “Once Upon a Time” (#4: 4.4/ 7) and “Revenge” (#3: 4.3/ 6), and “Betrayal” (#3: 2.4/ 4), which clearly earned its cancellation stripes. As a reminder, “Revenge” is moving to Sunday 10 p.m. effective on March 9 out of new drama “Resurrection.”

About the Daily Ratings
Each day (except Sunday) during the main TV Season we post the TV Ratings for the previous nights primetime shows for the major broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, CW, FOX, NBC). Cable Network ratings will be added to the
Ratings Database.
The first item that gets posted (normally around 2pm GMT) is the early overnight analysis based on the early household numbers (these are not the same as the Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers that are posted later).
Next, if available, we will post the Top 25 Market 18-49 Ratings to give you a rough idea of the ratings to following.
Later on (normally between 4pm-5pm GMT) we post the official early overnight Total Viewers and 18-49 Demo numbers in the table above.
Finally, later in the evening (10pm-11pm GMT) or the following day, the final adjusted ratings numbers are released, these are then posted in the
Ratings Database. The Final Adjusted numbers are what we use for all our Renew/Cancellation Tables, Full Season Tables, Ratings Scorecards etc (see below). Friday's Final Adjusted Ratings are normally available on the following Monday.

It's TVBTN, what else can you say about them?
ReplyDeleteLOL, too true!
ReplyDeleteI hope Revenge's ratings pull up a little, we really need some good ratings this Season. The episode was awesome! The Season is brilliant!! :D
ReplyDeleteThere are some "fans" on tvbtn that seem to never let go....
ReplyDeleteMy favorites are those who keep harping on the "why doesn't "insert network" cancel this show when they cancelled "inserts poster's favorite show".
Even funnier was the insistant comments that Agents of SHEILD will be cancelled after the slight ratings slide but since its gone up again, no such comment exists!
ReplyDeleteTo be honest, I feel like the show should be in the 3's in the demo's at least but apparently there's hope for some tinkering towards season 2 in terms of the quality of the show?
ReplyDeleteI know.
ReplyDeleteRatings last night should be up across the board because of higher HUT due to cold weather across much of the nation. Let's see if that produces strong audience/demo gains.
ReplyDeletehope ouat up last night
ReplyDeleteConsidering nothing major happened on Revenge except setting up the finale next week, It did relatively okay, I guess. Can't tell without the numbers

Sad about Revenge..
ReplyDeletehappy for ouat
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon A Time, up!!!! What hour will get the 2.2 first? The finals or the first set of numbers?
ReplyDeleteI never understood why Betrayal didn't get the axe early on.
ReplyDeleteScrewing with the schedule didn't help, but last year had problems with the writing and that is what pulled it down. It's coming back, but it's hard to get people to come back once they jump ship. I pretty much feel the same way about Revenge.
ReplyDeleteIt's not on the mid season schedule, so it's pretty much airing the remaining episodes until the new show comes in.
ReplyDeleteYes for OUAT!!
ReplyDeleteABC did not have anything to replace it. Lucky 7 crashed and burned early in the season and ABC was scrambling to find filler. (They plugged in a Scandal repeat that had only aired 10 days prior.)
ReplyDeleteYeah, it obviously isn't getting a back order, but why didn't pull it off schedule after it went below 1.0 in the third week.
ReplyDeleteyay! ouat #RUMBELLEISBACK
ReplyDeleteProbably because they already cancelled Lucky 7 and Back in the Game, that and most of their shows aren't doing well either.
ReplyDeleteOkay, the numbers are still rising Mentalist that it continues like this and the series can be renew for a 7th season!
ReplyDeletethe rag 6.6/11, What it is, can someone tell me PLEASE?
CBS prime-time started 27 minutes delayed in the following markets: Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, Atlanta, Nashville, Memphis, Knoxville, Houston, Detroit, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis. Ratings are subject to change.
ReplyDeleteY U NO RISE REVENGE?!?!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting tired of these ratings, Revenge needs (and deserves) more :(
Don't count on those ratings until the final ratings come in tomorrow.
ReplyDeletei also feel like AOS should be above 3 in the demo's
ReplyDeleteGood for OuaT.
ReplyDeleteYeah for The Mentalist. Wonderful 1.7 !
ReplyDeleteGreat for OUAT.
ReplyDeleteOk, tomorrow will celebrate then.
ReplyDeleteOk, tomorrow we will celebrate then.
ReplyDeleteBecause its a limited series/self contained with a end
ReplyDeleteRatings :) guess TM fans prefer post RJ to pre RJ. The addition of Abbott, Kim is making Mentalist 2.0 the best now I hope they don't retread.
ReplyDeleteIt's particularly odd because Pan/Robbie Kay is, in my opinion (and from what I've seen many others'), the best thing to have happened to OUaT in a long time. He's a great villain with a different flavor from his predecessors.
ReplyDeleteRevenge should be doing better, but I guess it's a positive that it at least remained steady. Another 1.2 or 1.3 would have made me a very sad panda. Hope the big midseason finale, with the revenge 2.5 years in the making FINALLY happening, will bring an uptick in the numbers.
ReplyDeleteIs it me or everyone thinks The Mentalist is doing a great job
