  1. I have two:

Shaw interrogating the Secret Service agent, and then kickinghim to make sure he's down...

  2. And Finch and Arthur singing the MIT anthem, and Shaw's reaction to that.

  3. i voted for all of the scenes. this episode was too good

  4. The twist at the end. I did not see this one coming.
Revelation of Control, return of Hersh, I love how you see some separate plots, yet all are very elaborate, and then they just seemlessly fit together! That's what makes POI so awesome.

The ultimate scene was the revelation of control

  7. Definitely the Control twist. I don't know how I keep falling for that. They've pulled that ''innocent supporting character is villain'' trick so many times!

  8. Loved it! Thanks for including it here!

  9. That was #8 on my list - and honestly probably my favorite moment - Shaw: "John's going to be sorry he missed this."

  10. YES! I started out with 12 and had to wittle it down to be manageable...

  11. Completely agree! It's like the machine is writing it... ;)

  12. I'm hoping if it isn't Reese, it might be Root to the rescue...

  13. But they are SO good at putting a new twist on it!

  14. That's for sure. The worst thing is I knew Madame was going to get a face in this episode, and I knew that the ''wife'' would be a recurring character. How do they do it?!

  15. All scenes with John.

  16. Actually, for me it was Shaw's reaction to Arthur recognizing Harold.

  17. I love Shaw! I also liked when she had to catch herself not being sympathetic with Arthur's "wife"...

  18. I had both the Fusco scenes in the list, but had to cut one...

  19. So many. The Reese/Fusco throwdown was awesome, as was the twist at the end with the reveal of Ma'am. I did not see that coming and I flipped out a bit.

  20. Well, this "all of the above" button is still missing, along with the "the whole episode" ^^
I didn't know about a new episode of PoI this week, so I was rather surprised seeing it, and I wasn't deceived, as usual, another excellent one :)

  21. Tough call, as usual--another dandy episode! I'd like to see more Root, but I actually voted for "not everything that's broken"--what a well-played, touching little scene.

  22. All this plus Shaw 'blocking' the secret service agent wtih medical jargon :D

  23. For me it Harold talking to his dad. "...they're building a computer network right now that's going to connect all the universities in the country. If I can't leave town, I'll bring the information to me."
When I saw that, I was like holy shit he's talking about ARPANET. That network that was the predecessor to the capital I Internet. And we know from that season 2 episode that Harold hacked into ARPANET and exposed it's code that lead to the creation World Wide Web. We know he is wanted for sedition and mayhem. It was nice to see that version of Harold back when he was younger and cocky and wanted to 'break into' everything if just for the heck of it.
That moment shadowed what I also thought was a big moment for the show's story, the existence for a second machine that Harold's machine thinks could become active. Who will get to it is the question.

  24. Definitely a great scene! And kudos to the show for such careful storytelling. I loved seeing a less cautious Finch.

  25. It was so, so hard to pick just a few scenes. This show is just nailing it week in and week out.

  26. Yeah. It's one of the reasons it's such a great show and why I like it so much. Most of the shows when they talk about anything related to technology or computers, it's obvious they don't know what they're talking about. But this is the exception. The writers know what they are talking about and, within reason, they know the workings and limitations of every concept that they mention. Everything is grounded in real computer science concepts (again, within reason, this is science fiction after all) which makes me wonder if there are any computer engineers in the writers room or have consultants they talk to regularly.

  27. yup, I just realised that it was exactly the same with Root and also ended up with Finch being kidnapped. ;)

  28. They did it with Elias, too! And to a lesser extent, Alonzo Quinn.
