  1. I liked seeing Victor! Joanna needs to tell the truth, which she sucks at, because it's annoying me how often she lies.

LOL at Wendy calling for Victor like that.

I'm Team Freya/Killian, although I want this love triangle to be over. LOL at that cheesy "I loved you before I met you" line, though. Why are you quoting Savage Garden?

Can't believe the season finale is next week already!

  2. Great episode!

I've always wondered where has Freya and Ingrid's father been all this time so it was nice to finally meet him.

Mike was all kinds of crazy tonight but it was understandable. How else was he supposed to prove that Ingrid is a witch? I still kinda think he is evil, though.

Ugh, at this stupid love triangle between Killian/Freya/Dash. This girl needs to make up her mind already because it has gone on for way too long. My theory is that Freya will leave Dash at the altar (which will be such a cliche).

  5. When they said Victor was their father and he abandoned his daughters, I thought of Charmed.

  6. Same here!! Plus the youngest daughter wants to reconnect (Phoebe) and the oldest daughter wants nothing to do with him (Prue) - I couldn't stop thinking of Charmed.

Great episode though, team Killian all the way. :)

  7. Oops, I meant to say that because I hate that it's two weeks away.

  8. A fairly decent episode.
    - It was nice seeing their father and that Freya & Ingrid have different reactions to his unexpected and sudden return. I didn't really felt his interactions with Joanna. There was very little chemistry for me between these two.
    - Mike wielding that axe into his own leg was very surprising. I thought he's gonna attack Ingrid, so she would save her life with magic. As soon as Mike mentioned the second key, I knew it was Ingrid. The show has hinted several times that she's the most gifted one of the Beauchamps.
    - I hope they don't kill Penelope next week, it would be too soon, we haven't seen enough of her.

  9. You're not. I prefer Freya with Dash as well though I have the sneaky suspicion he'll turn out to be the Trickster/Destroyer, especially with Killian telling Freya that being with Killian will destroy her, that probably rang the alarm bells for her.

This is one of the shows where I cant Decide which Team to be on. Team Killian or Team Dash. But tbh I think Dash is the right guy for her just saying. I love this show so much. Wendy is and always will be my favorite WEE character. I don't like Victor at all but I like that they introduced him which I thought would happen in season 2. Guess not :)

  11. I did not like this episode as much as the previous one. This show has moments when it could be really good, but its dichotomous nature of being a decent witch show with human moments, like Charmed, then delving into excessively campy romance novel (or what I've seen of those covers), hinders it from its potential.

    LIKED:
    - Wendy is still the best character on the show. More of her please, in addition to her relationship with Freddie Prinze Jr. (who should be a regular).
    - Joanna's background, past, rich history, badass powers.
    - Joanna and Wendy actually come across as sisters, even close ones. I don't know if it's the very capable actresses just being good at their jobs, or if they get on well in real life, or what, but it's really great to see, and it's the main reason I loved the previous episode, as well their interactions in this one. That whole "oven isn't on", "you're a witch!" scene was fun, as well as when Wendy called for Victor by just yelling for him.

    - Penelope is so evil! Great job by the actress. Well-casted.
    - Glad to see more family, with the presence of the dad, Victor. His scenes with the family gives more depth and dimensions to each of their characters. They're made more real and humanized.

    DISLIKED:
    - That author guy was totally annoying and crazy in this episode. The fact that his quest for a way to Asgard, seems to coincide with Penelope's plans, makes me wary of him.

    - Ingrid and Freya's scenes do not come across as much like sisters, more like friends, and not even close ones (at least to me). I'm not sure if that's how they're written in the books, or if it's just the actresses' portrayals.
    - The Ingrid actress makes the same "Whaaaat!? expression for most any emotion and action, including surprise, spell-casting, etc.
    - I'm not sure the actor they got for Victor is good casting. He had pretty decent chemistry with the rest of the family though.
    - This show's sad excuse for a love triangle is the worst story in this show. They should change this from the books, because it plays really weak onscreen.
    - The brothers are the weakest characters of the cast imo. The Killian guy has no depth. Comparatively, I've found the recurring males to be better acted and more interesting characters.

This is just my opinion. Don't mean to offend anyone. I'm still interested in the Beauchamp family's story, and want to see the finale. However, I hope the show works on some of their weaker parts, and improve on their stronger aspects, next season. This show has potential to be greater, and I hope to see it.

  12. I agree on the total lack of chemistry between Joanna and Victor. I'm thinking the actor was chosen on his resemblance to Rachel Boston. I was thinking to myself how it was plausible the offspring of Victor and Joanna would look like Ingrid and Freya. The casting department gets points for resemblance, but demerits for lack of chem.

  13. "Mike was all kinds of crazy tonight but it was understandable. How else
was he supposed to prove that Ingrid is a witch? I still kinda think he is evil, though."
I thought he was gonna attack Ingrid, instead of himself and I think there's more to him.

"Ugh, at this stupid love triangle between Killian/Freya/Dash. This girl needs to make up her mind already because it has gone on for way too long." I actually don't mind it that much since the show revealed there's a bigger picture to that love triangle. It's been fun trying to figure out who will be the Soulmate/Trickster.

"My theory is that Freya will leave Dash at the altar (which will be such a cliche)." I think Freya will choose Dash but he'll call off the wedding because he finds out there's still something between Freya/Killian.
