His episodes are great. I think they might be saving Aladdin/Jasmine for OUAT, but we'll see. For a while there I thought the twist would be that Mirsa assumed Jafar's identity or something.
Well "A Thousand and One Arabian Nights" has tons of stories and tons of characters, so I'm glad that they have been using that to their advantage and really fleshing the Arabic/Persian/Eastern mythos out! It will be interesting to see where Aladdin fits in, especially when one could argue Jafar has some 'poor boy' parallels with...
His back story so far is GREAT! It was nice to see some commonality he shared with Alice as well!
I actually felt sorry for his brother, because it's obvious that he had a hard time living up to his father's expectations and that his actions completely stem out of fear. He ultimately was a coward...
I'm wondering though if the Sultan is really Jafar's father or if it's possible that his mother lied for some reason and/or if there was some specific circumstance of her death that has not been made known to us?
His father his clearly not a good guy, but oh the irony that the Sultan is much like Amara and ultimately himself! I'm curious why the Sultan won't give Jafar what he desires (how sad that he wants to change the rules just to make his father love him!)
I wondered about the Sultan really being Jafar's father too. He seemed so intense on not calling him son. (In the end, I sort of get it, but while he was a kid seems a bit too evil). And the old man in the cage sounded so nice. I was sad to see him turn out to be this evil.
I could be wrong, but it does seem like we're missing something, especially because you're right in that how could a guy be that nice to Cyrus and Alice's father, but yet be so cruel and willing to die?
I'm curious i know magic is used for whatever the holder desires and that they can't wish death upon those they truly desire to die but please make an exception for Alice and let her wish for Jafar's death lol
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I love jafar's backstories... Does this mean Jasmine doesnt exists in this version? Or did his Jasmine Jafar's niece? hmmmm

Anybody else feel that his Father and Brother deserve everything they got? Because I sure do. This ep made me stop routing for the Sultan to survive.

I always love me some backstory and this was no exception. It was well done! Cool episode.
ReplyDeleteI knew that the other prisoner was Jafar's father! Why else would he keep him alive?
ReplyDeleteI thought the same thing, because kid Mirsa looked mean and kid Jafar looked adorable and innocent.

ReplyDeleteI made the call on that since the beginning lol
