  1. AH-effing-mazing! I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!

  2. That was great! I loved it. Baby Henry was adorable and LOL at Regina freaking out because he wouldn't stop crying. Ugh at her nearly giving him back because he was the Savior's saw.

The end on the ship was cute, but oh shit at Pan taking over Henry. This isn't going to end well at all.

  3. This was much better than I expected when I heard it was going to be a Regina episode.
I think Regina is best when she a snarky psychopath.

Loved the "I don't regret any of it".

  4. I think you're the one that needs to do that. Apart from stating that it was obvious that he doesn't have them, Eddy & Adam have said numerous times that he only remembered when Emma showed up in the pilot and said her name.

  5. This season is seriously making up for that horrid thing that we call Season 2. So glad!

  6. it all goes back to the pilot episode. he asked Snow for the baby's name for a reason and in episode 2x9 QUEEN OF HEARTS he wrote her name over and over again with squid ink for a reason. Hearing Emma's name was his trigger to get his memories.

  7. also here's an interview from Robert: http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Foncepodcast.com%2Factor-robert-carlyle-said-mr-gold-doesnt-know-hes-rumpelstiltskin%2F&h=aAQGYBEKY

  8. I really enjoyed this episode. It was entertaining, with lots of action and plot, moving the overall story forward, but it also had a lot of good character moments for most of the cast again.

Regina - Loved that they had so much character introspection for Regina. I liked that they showed Regina and Henry's mother-son bond, showed and told how Henry is Regina's everything, included Regina with the other mothers while going to find Peter Pan, and ultimately did a pretty good job showing that Regina really does love Henry in the past and present. It was a heartwarming scene when Regina tucked in Henry, and made sure his heart stayed put. Clever! That forgetting spell was something of a pleasant surprise to me. Despite all the heartwarming, almost heart-melting moments for Regina, I had to give a cheer to her dark side, since that was what helped her, Snow, and Emma escape that tree. It really does pay to have an "evil" person on your side. Go "no regrets", Regina! ;) Also, was it just me, or did anybody else expect Regina to risk her life again for Henry, especially given this episode's message about how much she loves him? I was a little thrown when it didn't happen.

Emma - This episode had good, solid character development for Emma too! So, apparently, Emma's a natural leader. Plus, her "lost girl" stuff was pretty good. It helped move story along, by bonding with the Lost Boys to find Peter Pan, while also furthering Emma's development along. Emma's scenes with Regina are her best ones. There's depth there, and respect. Is it too much to ask for an eventual friendship?

Tink - Someone believes in her again! Tink's scenes with Regina makes me think they can become friends. Tink's the only one that seems to be at least somewhat friendly or has potential to be, with Regina, aside from Emma.

Snow & Charming - I like badass Snow & FTL Charming. That said, I had to roll my eyes at Snow's comment about Charming not being able to leave the island since Rumple's boxed up, and then Charming having to remind her that Henry's missing heart is more important. Seriously!?! The writers could, and have, done better writing for Snow. This is so totally a cursed self/Mary Margaret moment.

Switcheroo - While I generally enjoyed this episode. The only part I didn't really like was when Peter Pan switched bodies with Henry. It felt almost anti-climactic, since all the buildup, was for the group and viewers, to get some sense of triumph over evil. I was again pleasantly surprised that the promo for next week already has Peter-as-Henry telling Emma who he really is. I'm so glad they didn't keep him boxed up for too long. I suppose this could be a creative way to keep Robbie Kay around. So many people here, and perhaps elsewhere, dislike that Henry kid so much, but love Peter Pan's portrayal.

The last few episodes, leading up to the end of this arc, has been pretty entertaining. I think there's been some improvement over last season's problems. I'm looking forward to next week's episode, and hopefully, a satisfying end to this story arc.

  9. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time! And that ending Pan switching bodies with Henry... WOW!!!!! Only 2 more episodes until the hiatus, can't wait!

  10. I dont know why this writters are about, like we dont hate Henry enough, now he is Pan? really? come on!!

  11. Best episode of the season for me! Everything about Regina/Henry was perfect! All the TeamMommies/SwanMillsFamily moments were so beautiful! especially the hug <3 And as always Robert and Lana's scenes were so well played.
Seriously Rumple/Regina/Emma/Henry is the best thing about Once!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Loved all the cute moments everyone had! By far, the best was Emma telling Regina she's right in the beginning. I love Lana! She really is amazing!
I figured out the switch thing the second it happened! This is not good! Now Pan has an ally in Storybrooke too!

    ReplyDelete
  13. So Regina worked it into the curse that she could leave Storybrooke when she wanted. Interesting. Absolutely fantastic episode. The season one magic is back is full force!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Seriously, we're expected to believe that Jared can pull off Robbie's performance? Please.

    ReplyDelete
  15. I think the last episode before the break will set up the last story arc of the season, thus they would want to get the switch out of the way quickly. Makes sense to me, but with this show this season, all back to form, who can tell.

    ReplyDelete
  16. "My lady" has become synonymous with Captain Swan now. May God help us all.

Can we kill Pan in Henry's body and keep forever Robbie in the cast? Please?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Now what?? Henry is Pan's body!! Oh, come on!! This is getting unbelievably very childish.

  19. I don't think Pandora's box was easy to escape. Like any other prison, if someone gets you out, you're out. But he would not be able to get out by himself.

    ReplyDelete
  20. It was pretty underwhelming. Just a box that can trap magical beings. Pandora's Box is one of the scariest things in Greek mythology and it's been reduced to a joke here.

    ReplyDelete
  21. It's a better story if he has his memories though. His acting during those flashbacks just felt too smug, like he did know.
And if he didn't, then it's a pretty massive coincidence that he managed to track down Emma's baby (in Phoenix, no less) and bring him to Storybrooke, thus giving Emma a reason to come and break the curse. For that reason I prefer to think that he was aware the whole time and simply lied to Regina for 28 years.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Once again Regina gets shit done, the scene of taking Henry's heart back from Pan was my favorite of the season
I'm curious how they're gonna solve the body switch thing

    ReplyDelete
  23. A line he also used on her mother.

    ReplyDelete
  24. They could just keep Henry in Pan's (Robbie Kay's) body and kill Pan in Hery's body off, then we wouldn't have to stand Jared Gilmore anymore...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yes yes yes, pretty please!!!!! We could have a good actor playing Henry.... pleeeeeeeeease let it happen!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. If he had his memories the whole time, he wouldn't have wasted time making a potion to pour over Bae's shawl when he left Storybrooke last season to search for Bae.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Okay yeah that's true. But it still doesn't explain how of all the babies in the world, Gold unwittingly gives Regina the son of the saviour.

    ReplyDelete
  28. My heart stopped when Regina set them free from the regret tree. When Pan was talking to her, I was super she would say "I don't have regrets," but when she said it, and with so much passion. It was perfect.

    ReplyDelete
  29. One of my favorite episodes of the season for sure!!!! Perfect timing for the flashback too!

Like the switch out, but am curious if there is more to Pandora's box or not....
Some other thoughts: So what happens when someone leaves their Shadow (and magical dagger) behind? Do people change when they come out of the box? (Is Rumple still the same as he was before he went in?) How do we switch back? And what is Pan going to do in Storybrook? (and please someone just kill Felix already :p) And do Michael and John still have ulterior motives?

Can't wait for the next couple of eps!

    ReplyDelete
  30. its called FATE. Just like it was fate Emma and Neal got together

    ReplyDelete
  31. I agree...I thought it would at least require Regina to do some magic....perhaps that they would have to convince her to do, because why would she want to release Rumple? They missed an opportunity for some good conflict between her and the Charmings (since Rumple is the one who will heal David so he can stay out of Neverland).

    ReplyDelete
  32. So Regina could come and go from Storybrooke, but nobody else could? Is that what the deal is? Because I'm now trying to remember whether she was every freaked out by the city line like everyone else....However, if she asked Sidney to get the files, then he was able to get to Boston as well? Have to admit that the whole leaving Storybrooke thing had me a bit distracted from the real story that was going on.

Loved the scene with Regina and Henry on the ship, but was wondering a bit why Emma wasn't also by his side. Lana did a nice job - as usual - in this ep even though she was a faltering Regina instead of the kick-ass Evil Queen. The scenes with her and Rumple were great as always and I loved when she almost said "I'm the Que...the mayor" with Archie. (Good to see him, too!)

I'm also wondering what will happen with Pan's shadow when the ship lands back in Storybrooke...I hope they don't just leave that a loose end.

  33. What a sweet episode!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Once again a Regina centric episode that I have LOVED! Quite The Common Fairy and now this! I always love episode's based upon her, and Lana's acting is just flawless as always, she had so much screen time, and none of it was with bad acting, at all. Lana and Robert's scene were perfection as always. 'I need a child' 'Well, I can't help you there dearie' (Or something along those lines, but omg that was hilarious!) But, as usual, bamf Regina came in, and actually got stuff done! The 'no regrets' part was the best, especially when she got the heart (and Emma's expression, haha).

As well as seeing Whale, Granny, Archie and hearing Sydney - that was a nice touch too! :)
    But the ending!

    God I loved this episode!

  35. Frankly, Peter Pan as a villain has been disappointing. I never really felt any sense of danger. When it was revealed he was Rumple's father, I finally understood why Rumple felt so strongly about someone who spent most of the episodes... talking. Also bummed that his only ally is the horribly acted Felix.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I loved the episode. Not sure what all the hate is toward Jared Gilmore. I like him and I think he has been doing a great job. I look forward to see what he will do and bring further. Since Henry is the lynchpin for the story overall, I don't see them killing him.

    ReplyDelete
  37. To be fair, I would also use a line on any woman who looks like Ginnifer.

  38. The good:
    - Best episode of s3 so far, and I doubt the remaining 13 episodes can top that. I was literally sobbing throughout it!
All hail Her Magnificence Lana Parrilla! <3 I've seen my fair share of amazing actresses, but at this point, she can make me physically feel what her character's feeling. Which, considering Regina's emotions, isn't so lucky for me, lol.
    - Regina telling Emma that Henry is all she's got. It hit the bull's eye. Beautifully played.
    - Regina bonding with baby!Henry. Is there anything more adorable?!? There were just a few precious moments in there, but they made them all count. :) Regina telling baby!Henry a bedtime story was perfect!
    - Regina drinking the guilt-removing potion or whatever that was, for Henry's sake - I have a bad feeling about this. There are bound to be side-effects.
    - Regina ripping Pan's heart out and #SavingHenry! :)
    - Regina/Rumple & Regina/Gold. I'm always very conflicted when I watch their scenes because he always humiliates her, kicks her when she's down, exploits any vulnerabilities and just manipulates her like a puppet on a string. And she lets him because he's been more of a father figure to her than her own father. It's such a twisted relationship, but so multi-layered and brilliantly performed by Lana and Robert.
    - Regina/Tinkerbell. If this is a friendship taking shape, I'm all on board. Regina could use an ally.

    The bad:
    - I understand why Regina was clueless at first how to take care of a baby, she probably never had such experience, and her mother was the worst role model when it comes to parenting. It just really pissed me off that Mary Margret was instantly able to soothe Henry. More to the point, Henry instantly responded to MM. So what, the call of the blood was stronger than Regina's innate maternal instincts? :/
    - Why wait 17 years to have a child? In 2x17, it seemed like Owen's visit made such a strong impact on her, I assumed that she kept thinking about the boy over the months that followed. It seemed very random that after 17 years of feeling "nothing", a single talk to Archie would make her decide to adopt.
    - Wendy's brothers wanted to adopt Henry in order to deliver him to Pan. This show gets so incredibly anti-adoption without the writers even realising it. Anyway, it was a pointless twist, although quite an embarrassing one. They couldn't kidnap him while he was in the adoption agency?! Smart. Real smart.

To sum up, Lana saves the day again. And by that I mean of course the episode would've been mediocre if it weren't for her spectacular acting.

  39. I wouldn't call Regina a psychopath at all. I think she feels remorse for quite a few of the things she's done in the past. But, how could she regret it if there would be no Henry otherwise? I think she has changed a lot and is no longer the Evil Queen from the past.

    ReplyDelete
  40. the sass was great. the rest.. not so much. rumple/neal reconciliation is as screwed and unbelievable as it can be. they simply can't write the conflict and drama properly. poor very poor writing. henry/pp switch. ugh sorry but jared can't act and to think he could carry pp role.. just no. as for regina I hate the twisted logic of ouat writers and twisted message they send. break people's lives, lie, kill, torture people for fun, rape and don't regret anything cause it will bring you a reward. BS. as a whole episode was disappointing.

    ReplyDelete
  41. FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING AWESOME! this episode was beyond that, i can watch a series about Regina being a mother tbh and dont get tired of it, she was F*** AMAZING! Baby Henry and Regina were great! altho it was a little predictable the thing with Pan inside of Henry`s body now i liked it, it was the next thing to do, but c`mon Henry your acting as Pan was awfull what about the accent you got when you talked to the other boy¿?..... when she said "Henry is my son" oh boy i wanted to hug her literally!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Agreed. But get ready to be attacked for saying that.

Since we have 2 episodes left before the hituas I was surprised they were going back untill the body switch reveal. That's going to be focus of last 2 episodes before the hituas.

    ReplyDelete
  43. The cutest episode ever!

    ReplyDelete
  44. You think that this and previous episodes with flashbacks prove that Rumple DIDN'T have his memories? I think you need to go back and watch them again.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Seriously anticlimactic... seriously, everything basically resolved in half the episode... and Pandora's box being so easy to escape... It was good, but disappointing...

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm confused about what happens next because the promo looked like they going to get back to Storybrook and the Henry/Pan body switch reveal in the next episode. I would have thought that would be saved for the last episode before the hiatus.

    Another good exchange:
"I need a child, Gold, and I need your help."

    "Well, I'm flattered, but uninterested"

    ReplyDelete
  47. This episode is one of favorite this season and gets an A++++

This was by far one of the best episode so far because it answer one of the most important questions since season 1: How did Henry get to Storybrook? And it was finally answered.

I loved that this was a EvilRegal centric episode. I was on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I knew something was off when Pan and Henry eyes glowed.

This episode provide once again that for 28 years Rumple didn't have his memories. this was the 3rd episode to prove that.
It's good to know that Regina was able to leave Storybrooke.. I wonder how many times she left? I'm glad she made herself forget about find Emma's information that way it was a shock when Emma shows up in Storybrooke.
I was surprise Sidney was in the episode... well his voice. That how it needs to be when Jefferson comes back. Don't credit him. Have the set shut down when he's filming. No cell phones, tablets, or laptops on set.
I'm honestly going to miss Neverland, but I'm glad that the crew is headed back to Storybrooke.

To bad the game isnt over. Pan still stealing scenes even as Henry.

just 2 episodes left of b4 the long break
