  4. Great ending. I am very satisfied.

  5. Too many writers are obsessed with making depressing endings these days that I pretty much expect everything to end badly. I'm glad everyone got a happy ending. After the hell they went through they definitely deserve it.

  6. Love it great ending that's how you end a Tv show going miss this show very much

  7. Loved it! The twist was fabulous, kudos to both Maggie Q and Melinda Clarke for their brilliant performance in the final showdown. It's such a horrifying fate, I wouldn't wish it on anyone. (Trying to keep spoiler free). Overall I feel extremely satisfied after watching. I'm going to miss this show so much.

  8. Loved it. I am happy they didn't feel the need to give it an unhappy ending. The only minor remark I have was that I thought Sean also deserved a mention in those final scenes, it shouldn't have been all about Ryan. And it kind of sucked that they couldn't get Sonya to appear for the finale. Other than that I loved it. I am kind of sad that it ended though and this episode really made me feel that we were missing on a bigger season because I suppose the twist was originally planned for more than just one episode. But I'll take what I can get. Nikita will always be an extremely underrated show that gave me amazing moments and characters, I am very glad to have been a fan and to have watched and enjoyed it so greatly.

  10. Great finale to a great show. Nikita will be missed. Love that Nikki got to pull a great twist on Amanda (and us) that got Amanda a fitting fate. Although if they ever decided to do a movie (however doubtful), they could have Amanda somehow get out. But I digress.

Glad everyone got a happy ending. Glad the show gave us a happy ending. I love the new trend of shows (Fringe, Breaking Bad, Burn Notice) giving us a satisfying conclusion to a show unlike some shows (Dexter, The Shield) that try to do something out there or depressing or something else that isn't satisfying. So thank you, Nikita. For the memories and a for a fitting end.

Also, why couldn't they get Sonya for this one?

  11. To be honest, I completely forgot about Sean (was never a huge fan of his). You're right though he should've at least been mentioned.

  12. I'm going to really miss the cast and characters. I'm not satisfied that Amanda is still alive. Maybe they are hoping to do a movie some day. I'm going to miss this show.

  14. Here's a hug and some tissue, I teared up a bit too. No shame.

  15. An amazing send-off for an amazing show. Nikita is one of the best shows I have seen. Maggie Q and Melinda Clarke particularly deserve props for their brilliant performances.

  16. Craig Silverstein said they wanted to have Sonya and Percy in the finale but Lyndie Greenwood at least had scheduling issues with Sleepy Hollow.

  17. The final curtain for a great series.............thanks to the cast and crew for a entertaining and enjoyable 3 plus seasons! The final season performances were great, especially Maggie Quigely and Melinda Clarke............the Best TV (S)Hero/Villain Duo on television IMHO! Maggie Q is a "Action Movie Star" in waiting.................somebody, anybody give Maggie Q her own film franchise ASAP! She is more than ready and definitely deserving! 4 A NIKITA FILM REUNION, I am Nobody!!!

  18. Aw that would've been great to have Percy back for the finale. But that makes sense with Lyndie on Sleepy Hollow.

  19. Awesomely epic ending that was very satisfying and twisty... kudos to the writers for managing to tie things up in 6 eps (and thanks to the CW for granting the opportunity to close things up) Again, alot going on, but well written and as always fantastic performances from MQ and MC for bringing the goods... Nice endings for all. I am a bit bummed that Sonya wasn't in the ep, but understand with her Sleepy Hollow commitment... for one last bittersweet time, thanks to all those connected to this under appreciated gem for the past 3 seasons....

  20. Ryan appearing at the end was what really got me, damn that was a great finish to an exceptional series. I'm so sad to see it end :( Maggie is a real talent and I hope she gets the recognition she deserves!

  21. Every show deserves a happy ending. After everything the characters (and viewers) have been through, they deserve it.
Thank you Nikita! I'm really happy with this ending.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Fitting end though show ended way too soon!!! And Sean should've been at least mentioned!!!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Sean was great! It sucks Alex couldn't have thrown him a mention when she was trying to talk Nikita down. Something like "I went AWOL after Sean died remember, glad you brought me back" or something.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Maggie Q will be in the Divergent film saga.

    ReplyDelete
  25. It was a good ending!! But I thought that the takedown of Amanda was a little too easy for me, even though the whole deception was brilliant. For me it was like: Grab Amanda, and place her in the "basement". I somehow expected that it was more along the line of: Raid the company she is working in, and where Amanda is at the end of her wits, have the cops come in and get her on gunpoint. Then Nikita says something like: Game is over, Helen.

  26. Lol I feel better now...thanks for the hug.

  27. LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED IT! Great ending to the series, Nikita using Amanda's own 'Desception' versus 'Action' training against her, what's not to love about that? I laughed at:

Amanda: ''Nikita...... NIKITA!!'' - Irony is a sweet thing!

    ReplyDelete
  28. The end of a great series. Like mentioned sad that Sonja didn't get her farewell. And it would have been nice if Amanda and Nikita would have exchanged a few punches before Nikki put Helen in the 'chair'.
No loose ends so I am happy.

Got to say that this series tipped on the quality that La Femme Nikita had, but it never really reached it.
Season 1 was really close, but that dropped in S2 and 3.
The action was much better, but the relationships were much more compelling in LFK if you ask me.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I completely agree, LFN was in a league of its own. I feel with Nikita the CW tried to reach too big of an audience. Everybody here seems to praise the happy endings and closure provided in Nikita's finale, but to me this only proves the tried to please everybody. For me, the final was really quite dull, as it was very predictable non of the main characters would die or even be in serious danger. I remember watching the LFN finale back in the day (both the intended finale in season for and the actual finale in season 5), and they had you sitting at the edge of your seat biting your nails and it left you with your heart ripped out.
LFN had a small, but very loyal fanbase, and definitely didn't (and still does not) appeal to everybody. Yet LFN has become a legendary show, which I don't see happening with Nikita any time soon.

I admit, I initially started watching this so I could bitch about how horrible the show was compared to the original series, but still it kept me entertained enough to watch all four seasons.

  30. As much as I loved the finale, I felt a little dissatisfied. I was hoping there would have been a little more to the Amanda/Nikita reunion. Great way to end the series though, and great performances by the whole cast, especially MQ and MC! The show will really be missed!

  31. I agree about Sean, a mention would've been nice. I also would've liked them to clear his name when they were debriefed about Division and Amanda. I know the show was pressed for time and there were more important things, but there could've been a throwaway line, like Nikita telling Alex on the phone that at least Sean's family (and the world) know now that he wasn't a traitor. I still feel Sean died with very little fanfare on the whole. No one really expressed grief beyond Alex during the actual death. Heck, 2 episodes later they were celebrating Division's end with champagne!

At least Alex brought him up briefly in 4x04, not much but it's something.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I really missed them both. It doesn't feel right to end Nikita without seeing Percy one last time, and Sonya has been a core member of the team for a while now.

I know they were REALLY pressed for time, but with Percy (assuming Xander wasn't unavailable like Lyndie), I think they could've had him discussing Nikita in the flashback with Michael and Amanda.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I'd be on board for a movie, as much as the odds are slim to none (Firefly and Veronica Mars did it but they had bigger and more dedicated fandoms). BUT, that's as long as they don't bust Amanda out. I've had more than enough of her. As far as I'm concerned, she should've died near the end of Season 3 and The Shop/Jones should've taken over as the Big Bad. They dragged her out far too long and made her insufferable. She got the fate she deserved, it should remain in place.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Exactly, I wanted a mention. I felt that Ryan got all the mentions just because he was closest to Nikita and that bothered me a bit. I also have issues with the way they've axed Sean and then tried to pretend like it was nothing apart from the initial Alex's breakdown. I am clearly biased here because I really liked the character and the actor when he was given a chance to shine and I liked what he had going even with the other characters (there was a bromance with Michael in early Season 3 going on for instance) but I think it's not much to ask for some recognition for the character when all is said and done, especially when Ryan was getting it. I kind of think that had they known in advance that Season 4 was going to be just 6 episodes they would have let him live.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I am partial because I was a fan of the character and really liked him on the show, that's why I missed him.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Craig gave an interview to TVLine saying that it didn't feel organic to have him come back just for the sake of it being the finale.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well, I was kind of neutral on both Sean and the Sean/Alex relationship so I think I'm fairly objective in saying that yes, after Sean died it was as if he never existed. In 3x19, when Nikita brought Alex back, you'd think they would not only talk about her survivor's guilt but also the horrible loss of her boyfriend. Sean had just died in her arms! It was really swept under the rug. I also agree that I would've wanted to see more of the friendship with Michael (that scene where they were training in Silat and kinda trash-talking each other was so cute). Most of the time, Michael seemed kind of impatient and dismissive of Sean which I didn't like.
Personally, I would not have killed off Sean, if only because Alex had gone through enough trauma and crap already. If they wanted him off the show, they could've done it by having him return to the Seals instead of being framed for a murder and treason, having his death faked and his entire life taken from him, and then dying for real. Out of all the characters, he's one of the ones who got the worst deal, and that's saying something. But I also think he was a good guy for her, relatively normal and unburdened - someone as messed up as she needed that kind of stability, not a guy who dissolved corpses in acid like Owen for god's sake. And honestly, after they'd spent all of Season 2 building up that relationship, it seems they just kind of threw it away. Just a bad choice all around with Sean's death. I guess you could say they wanted a "good guy" character to bite it in order to raise the stakes, but eh... this just didn't work well.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I can understand that, but since they included flashbacks in this episode anyway, I don't think it would've been contrived to bring back Percy via that. If he had appeared in a previous flashback, it wouldn't have been as disappointing, but not having seen him even once since he bit it in the S2 finale just seems wrong. He was not only a major presence in the first 2 seasons, but one of the driving forces behind the whole narrative - barely an episode has gone by since his death without him being mentioned.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I agree about Sean, I liked him as well. I really felt like he should have had a mention too. Also agree about Sonya, I was disappointed that she wasn't in there, but geez, they surely name dropped her a lot. But I'm sure it was probably just a scheduling conflict with Sleepy Hollow.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I agree with everything you've said ;) Thanks for an objective opinion!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Yes, I have to agree with you because the flashbacks were already there. I don't think it took away from the finale though, at least not for me. It would have been one of those "nice to have", but that not really change my perception of it.

  42. I couldn't disagree more. This to me is much superior than LFN, which unfortunately today looks too dated to stand the test of time. Also it was much more monster-of-the-week than serialized, which I loathe. Peta might be good, but nothing can touch Maggie and Melinda now.

  43. Amanda will get out.

    ReplyDelete
  44. That's the beauty of the ending, everyone is free to imagine what happens afterwards. Die-hard Amanda fans can imagine that someone busts her out and she continues her apparently never-ending reign of terror, while people who have grown sick of her can imagine that she rots in her little hell-hole forever, as well she deserves. :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. That would've been a nice way to work in a Sean reference. I also would've liked it if, during the final confrontation with Amanda before leaving her to rot, Alex would've said something like "You took Sean from me, and I can never get him back. But at least now he can rest in peace. And I bet he's laughing at you."

    ReplyDelete
  46. That would have been brilliant.

  47. I accidentally posted this elsewhere, it was supposed to be here:

Something nice I caught: this episode revisited theme music from the show's early days at least twice. The music when Nikita stakes out Jones' transport in the beginning is the same one from 1x04, when she exits her car to storm the Triad's sweatshop (leading to one of the show's most badass fight scenes), and when she grabs Amanda and puts her in the metal restraints, that's the same music as in the epic 1x11 moment when she ripped her chains from the ceiling. Actually, there's a bit of similarity between the scenes, in both cases.

  48. My pleasure. For real, I can discuss Nikita for hours on end. :D

    ReplyDelete
  49. I've said this but it bears repeating: I'd love a movie, but only if Amanda is NOT the villain. I think they dragged her out for far too long as it is, unlike Percy who they wisely killed off while he was still awesome. I'm happy to think she rots away in that cell for the rest of her life, no need to go back on that.
