That episode was so good it felt like it was over in a second. So many loose ends - wonder what happened to Jennifer, will Duke be okay. I hope they fix Audrey quickly, I've never wanted an evil Audrey (Mara). Pretty sure this will get renewed which is awesome!
I'm shocked ....Dave!!!....and Duke...Jennifer.... no please.....give me season 6 now.... Audry is the real evil not William....this is a big Shock for me...
I have a feeling neither Mara or William are the big evil they;re bad but whats through the door is probably worse and I bet it's connected to Mara somehow. William kept saying she's important and they wanted to take her away from him
Agree! William warned them that something much worse than what they thought Mara was would come from there. And it came. "William wasn't the one we should be afraid of" said Jennifer.
It was a good season finale, but what? we spent half this season getting Audrey back, and we'll spend, at least, half of next season getting her back again? I think I would've rather see her struggle with the Mara within, than see her go full blown evil. Still, it was a very good episode.
I don't think Nathan actually knows her as well as he seems to believe he does. He has no idea what her past consists of and who she really was. It's like he just can't understand that she's not just the Audrey personality (and Audrey Parker was a different person - we met her previously).
I don't understand why nobody would listen. Dave tried to warn them not to open the door but they ignored him. Now Jennifer thinks it was a huge mistake to have done that as well.
I'm disappointed. I didn't think they would actually have Audrey's original character turn out to be evil. And if she was being punished by someone who turned her into Audrey to make amends, then wouldn't that mean that the "people of authority" on the other side of that door must be good and not "even worse" than William and Audrey? Sorry, it just doesn't make sense to me, at the moment. I wonder if even the writers know where they want to take this Story, if the show is renewed.
I think the real question is, when did Dave last go through that door?? I'm perplexed gotta love it how every season finale just when we think we know whats going on they open up a dozen more questions.
That's the only thing about the finale I didn't particularly like. I don't want next season to be a reprise of this one, but a mix of Lexie behaving like William.
Ah, you're thinking that the other side of that door is something like the Phantom Zone of Superman lore, then? In that case, it would make sense for our heroes to try to find the beings that created it...to help them ward off the inmates of that world. I haven't considered that possibility, yet. Thanks.
Just re-watched and I actually think that Dave fits the 'cowrdly brother' role well and ironically fits with what Vince keeps telling him. I just wish Syfy would hurry the fuck up already!
Not thrilled with the finale, not as much as I was last year anyway. Same goes for the whole season, it felt a bit weird, dunno, too much stuff to deal with so they were dealt with in a sloppy and somehow superficial way, something like that. But that's just meh. :) I hope they'll give them enough additional seasons to fully explore the rest of the story. And to give poor Nathan back his character, he barely existed in these past couple episodes, besides maybe to have a wedding talk with Audrey above the lighthouse door. Ew, really?!?!
I'm flabbergasted, and maybe a little confused. This show keeps surprising me with the direction of the story!
DAVE - Wow, about Dave! I like this new direction in story for him. I really want to know more about The Other Side, from Dave's perspective. I liked seeing the brotherly love moments between those Teagues too.
JENNIFER - She best not be dead. Jennifer and Duke are too cute together for her to be gone. And I still want to know what she's "The Child of Ruin". We haven't even really explored who her real family is yet.
Maura - Whoa! And, WHAT!?! I love that the show is so rich and gifted with so much story to tell, and such surprising twists too! But, it seems contradictory to who Audrey's various personas /lives have been. No matter who she is, she's always good, and helps the troubled. The barn gives her different memories and lives, but who she is always stays relatively the same. So, I don't get why her original self is so completely evil, even if the barn hid that true self from her. I'm hoping that Maura-Audrey, will be more of a mesh of her various past lives as human personalities too, and that all this time helping the troubled has changed her, and made her good. I don't want Audrey to be/stay evil.
I loved that this finale elevated the storytelling and events into yet another level of danger, especially since, with all the troubles, it was hard to picture how things could get worse. Kudos to the writers for such a crafty "worse" scenario! I also loved that all those clues in the books, the hints throughout the season, led somewhere, and culminated into a whole season of well-planned storytelling. I am so impressed by the show in that respect. Despite some of its flaws, its storytelling is one of the best. I really hope Haven is renewed for another full season. I really want to see this entire story unfold.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I got to watch this last week because I got one of the other screeners and was traumatized but had no one to talk to about it. LOL.
ReplyDeleteJENNIFER IS NOT DEAD. THEY CAN DO CPR, OKAY? LET ME LIVE IN DENIAL. And whoa, poor Duke.
Wow at Dave. Was honestly not expecting that one at all. And crap at Audrey's original personality coming through. Not good.
Please renew this show next week, SyFy. I need it back!
What an improvement from last week's total disaster.
ReplyDeleteOkay they HAVE to renew it now! That was fantastic!
ReplyDeleteit was a great episode now they have to save duke, jennifer, and audrey. that is quite a cliffhanger!
ReplyDeleteThat episode was so good it felt like it was over in a second. So many loose ends - wonder what happened to Jennifer, will Duke be okay. I hope they fix Audrey quickly, I've never wanted an evil Audrey (Mara).

ahhh I hate cliff hangers. hope this gets renewed
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see more of Mara. who she was and who punished her.and why.
OK, they HAVE TO RENEW IT NOW! Otherwise it'll be a kick in the ass to the fans leaving it like that!
ReplyDeleteWOW
ReplyDeletePlease give me Season 6 NOW!!!
I'm shocked ....Dave!!!....and Duke...Jennifer....

You mean Season 5 LOL!
ReplyDeleteAgree! William warned them that something much worse than what they thought Mara was would come from there. And it came. "William wasn't the one we should be afraid of" said Jennifer.
ReplyDeleteYes, i'm again in shock....
ReplyDeleteThey can't cancel it not after an ending like that they can't do what they did with Alphas again.
ReplyDeletePlz plz plz RENEW THE SHOW SYFY.

You're assuming the people that imprisoned her are from their world.
ReplyDeleteBecause they didn't have any other choice to get rid of William so they chose to take a chance on sending him through anyway.
ReplyDeleteThat's the only thing about the finale I didn't particularly like. I don't want next season to be a reprise of this one, but a mix of Lexie behaving like William.

Mara sounds like Amara from TVD lol
ReplyDeleteEmily Rose is truly the best actress to play different versions of herself sorry Nina Dobrov but the award goes to Emily lol
