Whoa, that was intense. But why was Nathan in the room with and holding the baby that kills people? They looked adorable together, but bad decision making skills there.
Whoa at Vince, Dave, and Jennifer. This looks intense.
Damn it, Duke, don't do it! That is not a good idea at all. AND NO, WHY WOULD YOU END THERE? THAT WAS JUST NO.
SyFy needs to hurry up and renew or cancel the show already. I can't take the waiting anymore.
They really need tot ell us soon!!! I'm dying in here. In my humble, and obviously very biased opinion, cancelling Haven would be a hugeeee mistake on SyFy's part!! It has a big fan following.
Also I think Nathan was holding the baby because no matter where he is, he's at risk of dying because of the trouble. It's all random.
Honestly? worst episode of the whole season. Such a shame that is part 1 of the finale. Writing was just off. Nathan and Audrey were acting extremely ooc and the dialogue was lazy. The writers turned Nathan into a piece of furniture. Such a diservice to the character and to the actor who plays him. Best parts? The scenes with William and with Gloria and her family.
I think there are some fans of the show that are misinterpreting the characters' confusion and personal angst (that they were trying to keep a lid on) as lack of emotion and bad dialogue. There is an AWFUL lot going around in all of their heads while having to deal with a Troubled BABY whose cry kills hoards of people and at that very moment, that is what they were trying to focus on. Audrey is sick over the thought that she is the cause for all the Troubles, Nathan is sick over this "connection" between the love of his life that he JUST got back and this rat bastard William, Duke is worried about Jennifer...there was a LOT of internal dialogue going on that had to be suppressed to deal with this massive Trouble, yet the Trouble wasn't the main issue. It was the psychological warfare William was putting Audrey through and the implications of what would happen if Audrey remembered her "true" self. (According to William, at least.) And let us not forget the decision to give Duke back the Crocker family curse/Trouble. Also, and I can't stress this enough, this was PART ONE of the finale. So, last week was just giving us a GLIMPSE at all the layers that will be pulled away like a layer of skin against the sidewalk next week. (Yes, the analogy was meant to imply pain. This finale is going to be a DOOZY.) I love Dave and Vince (Dave being my favourite) and I knew he wasn't going to be Vince's biological brother. There is an AWFUL lot of adoptions going on in Haven...Dave, Nathan, Jennifer, James...pretty significant implications there. I wish people would withhold the negative judgments until next week. JMO. Friday's episode wasn't meant to be THE heart wrenching, nail biting, kick you in the stomach part of the episode. I fear THAT is this Friday's episode's job.I saw it as more of a foundation. No, it wasn't kicking my "FEELS" into overdrive either, but I have a feeling that will come. I will say, I DO wish there was more Nathan, but I think we'll see more of him next week.(GAWD, I hope so.) The writer for last week's episode does tend to write more Audrey/Duke centered storylines, but again, this is a two part-er so I will reserve judgement. My final thought? I wish "CLAIRE WOULD ANSWER THE QUESTION! ANSWER THE QUESTION, CLAIRE!!!!!!!!!!" ;-) (Live Stream reference.)
I couldn't agree more with everything you wrote! And I too wish there was more Nathan, he is the male lead of the show, and then this writer comes along and moves him to the back in her episodes to promote Duke who in the first two seasons (before she joined) had very limited screen time. In this episode Nathan didn't get much too, but Lucas Bryant made the best of what he got, and I thought Audrey was pretty convincing in her scenes with him.
I think most people who didn't like the episode are probably Nathan fans and I agree that this was a weak episode for him. personally I never really cared much about his character so it didn't spoil the episode for me. but all the other characters Duke Audrey William Jennifer even Vince and Dave were at their best. especially Duke. I think this might be my favorite episode of the season. and to be fair the one real scene Nathan did get- with William, was pretty great.
The actress who plays Jennifer appeared in a tv series that aired on Disney XD along with a Actor who appeared in the same series as her but multiple times in the previous seasons of that show
I know what it was called but does anyone else knows???
My guess is Audrey.William.Nathan.Jennifer are the four to open the portal but some odd reason the outlines of the four ppl are kinda small looking lol
I honestly think that Audrey and Nathan should be the focal point of this show's love story as intended. I'm a sucker for a good love story.. love that trancends beyond time, circumstance and space. Mixed with the wierdness and supernatural aspects...It's what had attracted me to watch this show. Love their chemistry. I'd be disappointed if the show does not deliver an ending as it should.
if we're making predictions, I think Jennifer Duke Vince and Dave will be the ones to open the portal. Audrey will be there pretending to be Audrey and betray them, and somehow they'll end up tossing her through the portal instead of William.
I am a HUGE Nathan fan, well, I am also a HUGE Lucas fan so I was of course I was disappointed in his lack of screen time. However, I am more concerned about the story moving along and the series staying on the air then counting how many minutes of screen time each character received I am also one of John Dunsworth's biggest fans (Dave) so of course I love it when he gets lots of screen time too. Like I said earlier, that was only part ONE. I have a feeling part two is going to make LAST season's finale look tame and that scares me! I am sure we'll get more Nathan in part two and everyone will be so floored by whatever gets revealed that all of THESE concerns will seem like nothing!
Why not Audrey? Audrey, Nathan, Jennifer and Duke are logical choices for the 4. The original Audrey, the person William keeps trying to draw out may be evil, bad or whatever you want to call it, but our Audrey (and as far as we can tell, all her recent selves) has changed. She no longer is a "Trouble Maker" but a "Trouble Solver". Somewhere, at some point, she changed, and that changed has stayed with her over many of her lifetimes. Now, having William re-awaken the bad side of her doesn't change that. It is like a person with a drug addiction, she may have fallen off the wagon, but that doesn't mean she can't get right back on and still be Haven's saving grace? Maybe she needs to change WILLIAM in order to make Haven Trouble free? Maybe the four are her, William, Jennifer and James? They all have connections to the barn...
I finally got to watch these last two episodes, and I'm in shock. This show keeps surprising me with the direction of the story. For this episode, I was feeling trepidation every time hints of evil-Audrey came up. I loved that we explored Gloria's background and family. I was so nervous she was going to die when Audrey first held the baby, but was almost relieved when the mom died. Awful, right? I know. Sorry. ;) Still, I'm glad Gloria didn't die, 'cause I still want to see her as the coroner. Also, I'm so intrigued, and a little nervous, about Audrey's original self, Maura. This episode took a lot of surprising turns for me. I am almost never surprised by a show, since most of them are fairly predictable, but Haven is one of the few that keeps surprising me, with its storytelling.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

At the very least I suspect we'll get a final season.
ReplyDeleteAll I have to say is that the writer's bias was so damn obvious in this episode that it was ind of painful to watch without cringing.
ReplyDeleteMy least favorite episode of the season, I think.

Trust me no drama show on Syfy goes beyond Season 5
ReplyDeleteAlphas cancelled after 2 seasons
Sanctuary after 4 seasons
Warehouse 13 final season which is the 5th one
Eureka ended after 5 seasons
Looks like Syfy will make Haven fifth and final season im afraid.

But they gave Warehouse 13 6 episodes or something to wrap it up right? So maybe they'll do the same for Haven
ReplyDeleteIf they do that i will hunt them down lol jk
ReplyDeleteHaha yeah, how dare they prove you wrong!!
ReplyDeleteI will sick William on them lol

ReplyDeleteDave cant be bc he isnt a troubled and they need four troubled which i think nathan.jennifer.duke.vince.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure the symbol shows 2 men and 2 women, so unless there is something ELSE Vince isn't telling us...;-)
ReplyDeleteWe don't know that Dave isn't Troubled, just that he isn't a blood Teagues.

where the hell are they gonna find two women?
ReplyDeleteI mean I'm assuming it can't be Audrey

ReplyDeletethe barn was her punishment not to mention the prophecy
ReplyDeletelike William called it, Audrey Parker is just a shell
