    Awesome fall finale!

    It looks like Red is going to go rogue for a little while which will be good for him. He needs to get away from all the craziness for a little bit.

    Tom still remains suspicious with what Red said to Lizzy. "Be careful of your husband". Hopefully we will find out what Red means and what Tom's deal is in the second half of the season because his character is intriguing. He is probably tied with that higher criminal power.

    Also, now we know that Red is not Lizzy's father which to me, was obvious that the writers were not going to go that route but a lot of people did think they were.

    P.S. Thank you for not killing Dembe. Thank you.

    Awesome Fall finale that opens up as many questions as it answers... Just as any good series will do! XD


    - I love the small details like the noise it made when Garrick's men dragged Luli's body across the floor or the jingle jangle of chains as Red spasmed!
    - An apple a day may keep the doctor away, but it does little to deter bullets! XD
    - Mr Kaplan reminds me of ta cross between Julian Richings and one of the torture twins on La Femme Nikita called Devo #1 back in the day!
    - I loved how Red's rescue team had a faster response time than the FBI responding to the black site breech! XD
    - Alan Alda is a welcome addition to the show, but hard to see Hawkeye as a bad guy!
    - Anslo Garrick was awesome The way Coster managed to move only one half of his face was incredible!
    - So glad Dembe lived and was even able to run after the ambulance with Red inside! XD


    I assume Red is telling the truth when he says he is not Keen's dad, but why doesn't she just do a DNA comparison? C'mon! Get the answer once and for all instead of wembling back and forth if you trust Red or not...


    I love how Red, despite being a criminal mastermind, appears to be middle management in some clandestine collective! Alan Alda now looks to be the head of said collective, but is he Red's "adversary" he mentioned to Grey?

    I'm not sure if Red is telling the truth about being her dad, the main reason for it is that there's no other relationship he could have with her that would explain just how much he cares (even loves) her. I mean would be do so much if she were the daughter of his best friend? Or if he were her Uncle? I fear if in the end it does turn out to be he's not her dad then whatever alternative relationship the writers come up with just won't be credible to explain Red's actions where Lizzy is concened.

    I'm not sold on any relationship just yet if I am honest.


    I agree that the father/ daughter connection makes the most sense and seems to be the most plausible on an emotional level, but I do not agree that no other connection can explain Red's actions. Just because I do not see a stronger possibility does not mean one does not exist. Good writing can connect a lot of dots making the small details we have been given form a new very logical connection


    The more the show drags on their relationship mystery, the more I think people will be annoyed if Red is in fact Lizzie's father. Many people have been expecting it since the pilot or even the first promo and to throw up smoke screens and make them wait for the obvious answer seems like a slap in the face. So I still prefer Red to not be Agent Keen's father even if I have suspected it since the first promo....


    Also, personally I think a number of Red's actions have been anything but what a father would do for a daughter, even an estranged daughter!


    Honestly though, that particular mystery is not the foremost in my mind as I watch the show. In fact, I think it rates below almost every other unanswered question! XD

    At least the team didn't get shutdown and that the "mole" will be found........I surprise that the women Dianne is supporting Red instead of shutdown the black site.....I mean someone will have to take the fall eventually

    There could be a mole, but I'm not sure there is just one in the traditional sense...


    We know that the Apple-Eating Man (TAEM) worked for either Garrick or his employer and that TAEM's men followed Agent Keen to the black site and reported in every time Red arrived. So in that sense they CIA was their own mole.


    Then the only required information needed would be the lay out of the black site.I would think Garrick's employer (whatever Alan Alda's character is called) has connections to get the layout. He did set up the interrogation site in a disused CIA black site. Was that site also from "the mole" or was it just intelligence?


    Of course the obvious mole (at least to me) is Tom!
    He has been inside the black site and if Red is correct, is not to be trusted.

    Do we know for sure that the calls cam from "inside" the black site? Didn't Aram say that the calls came from inside or directly around the facility?

    I wouldn't be so sure that the Red/Lizzy paternity issue is resolved, after all 'criminals are notorious liars'.

    We know nothing about Red's wife yet. The answer might lie there. Lizzie might not be Red's biological daughter, but is perhaps the only thing remaining to remind him of his lost (dead?) wife. That could be a credible twist that would explain his actions.

    I didn't gather the Impression that Alan Alda was the head of that myterious organization, but rather that he was himself a high-level employee or representative...very high-level, though.

    God damn what does Red have! He has a powerful organization watching him, who knows what they do, but they are strong in structure so far so that's nice. But for Red to still be untouchable to them in a sense that even tho they can get to him, kill him if they wanted to, they can't because Red still holds something of Importance. Also like how from last episode it was like Anslo Garrik was Red's nemesis but he was just a strong hire of the power organization. And I loved how when Anslo commented on killing Lizzie, I thought he better kill him, and guess what he fucking does kill him, like old times!!!


    Red's people are nice, I like how they are all relatively his age, The women and the Strike team they were all close to Red's age kind feels like they have been with him for 20 years also.



    Sad that Red has to go away for a while, and I feel like that Away time might just be the same length as the Hiatus as in when the show returns the time passed would have been the same time Red has been away, something like that. But forget that!

    Red calling Lizzie pretty much to make sure she is OK, was awesome! And as always despite what Lizzie thinks of Red, she does have some concern for him! Hope there is a good connection between them (him lying and them being father daughter would be fine by ME). And again I liked how he reminded Lizzie to careful of her husband!

    Gave it a "good" rating.
    It was better than most things on TV, but by Blacklist standards, this was the weakest episode yet.

    I really think they messed up trying to put together a 2 part episode so early in the shows existence. Last ep I thought was weaker than average, and this was just as weak.
    Hopefully the show gets back to their 1 week format for awhile, till they can develop a story worthy of a 2 parter.

    Amazing episode and the perfect one to take a break on.

    Introducing
    Alan Alda's character and his group is the one thing that this show's
    being missing, it creates an antagonist on the same level as Red and
    opens up so many possibilities, i doubt this group is the same as the
    adversary Grey spoke about which if i'm right would be very interesting.

    I
    still draw parallels with POI in the way the antogonist's are being
    introduced and that's a really good thing as POI does this better than
    pretty much anyone.

    As for the Red/Lizzie connection, this was
    the first episode that i've really felt that they are father/daughter,
    even though they've hinted at it pretty non stop, for me this episode
    was the first time i felt on board with it.

    I've never been a fan
    of the idea, it's too cliche imo and i'd prefer a different scenario,
    but Red's pause before denying it was imo the clincher, he delayed his
    response and then denyed it almost as if he was steadying himself, to me
    it came across as if he wanted to tell her but circumstances being what
    they are he hesitated because he fears the danger he'll put her in once
    she knows.

    It echo's in someway his reaction to Sam wanting to
    tell her the truth about her life, he just can't allow that to happen so
    he makes his deal with Sam and kills him to protect the secret.

    Maybe
    he fears this organisation or perhaps it's a fear of the adversary that
    was mentioned previously but letting Lizzie know he's her father is
    something that as of right now he just can't allow.

    One last
    point, Red's rescue team and Mr. Kaplan (who was incredible btw) are his
    safety net, not just for him but more importantly for Lizzie, the
    priorities were spelled out Lizzie's safety first and then the rescue of
    Red, this to me really ties in with her being his daughter as any other
    reason just won't suffice, if Red's rescue is only the secondary
    priority.

    He used the royal "we" when talking about the group, but that could mean either the people he works for or the people who work for me. Either way he is upper management and oddly scary! XD

    I have been in the not father camp, the push to that angle is just to in your face and this show is more subtle than that. I will be surprised if he does turn out to be. LOVE THIS SHOW.

    Him lying makes the most sense to me tbh. It would be careless for him to tell her the truth through a phone call and in such a delicate moment. He took too long to answer her which makes me think he was considering the outcome.

    That's the main problem for me if Red turns out to not be her father. Even *if* it was because he simply loved her (for whatever crazy obsessive reason), the way his world seems to revolve around her... It's pretty clear that everything he's doing is for her, and her being his daughter is the only way it can be explained.

    Spader's character may indeed be morally ambiguous, but he has a finely honed sense of honor. Even if his motive (to protect Lizzie) is finally revealed, it may make sense to no one else! He's not just a stock 'bad guy'- people are willing to die for him.

    I didn't remember explicitly what he said, just that I didn't remember him seeming to be the head. I often do other stuff on my Computer while watching an epísode like this, so I could just as well have misunderstood that myself.

    This two-parter was very exciting. I liked that Red has an entire team working for him. Red's people are always so interesting to me. I found that tech guy (Aram) to be a useful character, and interesting, as well. Glad that Dembe is still alive and action-ready. Lizzy's husband is so shady. He's always stalker-staring at her. Also, I know I'm in the minority, but I actually do want Red to be Lizzy's father. A complicated father-daughter relationship adds so many layers to the show. It's harder to write off your father, or not care about him, even if he's a bad guy, versus some criminal who has an odd fascination with you, imo. Entertaining fall finale! Looking forward to the next half of this season!
