Went with Good. John Hannah was the best part of the episode imo, I liked his scene with Pasiphae although the 'bombshell' parent reveal wasn't a surprise at all....I think everyone has assumed the queen is Jason's mum ever since they made it clear that Ariadne wasn't! lol
I had a couple of glasses of wine and went with great, maybe for that reason *g* No, I think this is the first episode I kind of really enjoyed. John Hannah was great. It seems this could have been the second or third episode to continue with the mystery of Jason's father. I am not sure what all the bits in between were trying to achieve. Most likely to show how the trio was connecting, becoming friends (Hercules did say that he liked Jason in this one) although I am not sure they were really successful with that. I must admit that I would not spill any tears if Atlantis did not return to the screen. But there is the off chance that series number two turns out considerably more gripping!
Really good i thought, i've enjoyed the whole series and thought this was an excellent ending to it. I've never been particularly yay or nay for Heptarian, but i have to say his final seconds in this episode really broke my heart. I really feel for him as a character.
It was a surprise to me, the only theories i had seen around the intahrwebs were about the Oracle being Jason's mum. (And i don't engage my brain when i watch tv so i had no theories of my own) I didn't actually consider Pasiphae at all, so it was a nice surprise!
I went with Great. I did enjoy this two-parter, but am also very much hoping for an improvement in series 2. I'm enjoying the overall premise, but the writing is very slack. And, like probably just about everyone, I'm confused about why they even bothered to make Jason come from the future, etc etc. Also, this really took me out of that one scene: When Jason is drawing the bow with the on-fire arrow to light the accelerant previously spilled by Hercules, he's seen drawing the bow left-handed when the camera is in front of him, but is then suddenly right handed for the shots where the camera is behind him. That bit just really took me out of that scene. I'm looking forward to s2 though!
I enjoy this show tremendously and I'm so glad it has a second season. The actors are all great and yes, there are things that don t make sense as some have pointed out already but they don t diminish my joy for the show. The finale was great and I think/hope that season 2 will be even better now that the actors are more familiar with their characters, same goes for the writers.
It's actually surprise for me. A surprise I don't really welcome because I'm a person who believes that a villain should go when it's time, and I think it's time for Pasiphae to go, no matter how wonderful Sarah Parrish is (she is really terrific). When it is revealed that Jason is her son, then it'll make it difficult for her to be gone.
I was hoping for Jason being the son of Hades Lord of the Underworld and that a portal to the future could of been opened letting both Jason and Ariadne back to the modern age creating a possible cliff hanger.
Woa she be his mom! Well hope that makes her a little nicer to him and not try to kill him each episode. And I wonder which god touched her and where and how...and oh boy when Jason ever learns of this ya gonna be another heart breaker. He has to kill or stop 2 people he doesn't want to one he didn't from start aka medusa and one after learning the truth aka the mom.
And really king really... Glad you back so the girl is safe but god dam u take this royality thing to seriously.
Anyway look forward to series 2, series man that would still sounds strange every time I refer a season with that.
Also man I want the Bow Girl from the Forest to return. Now she was a nice gal!
