Loved that ending, Dorian helping the medium by giving her the evidence, and John and Valerie watching soccer together. The way he looked at her after he remembered what the medium said. :)
It wasn't their best episode but still it was very good IMO. I really liked this show hope they at least got 1.9 or sth ( there was nothing on tv at that time -except the voice- maybe that could them?! Can't wait to see the ratings)
Really really good episode. I'm glad they step outside their comfort zone and deal with supernatural stuff even a little bit. I hope there's more supernatural in this show later, even if it's entwined with technology.
BTW, I'm not feeling Stahl, she doesn't strike me as a detective for me. I think she's better off as a non-police character. Moreover, I don't feel any chemistry between her and Kennex.
loved the ep and the ending. stahl and kennex chemistry is great. they're cute. but i want to see stahl in more action. i think they're kind of limiting her to being a pretty officer.
Ohh, really? I haven't heard anything about people's opinion about her. I also don't know much other than what you told me. But for me personally, she doesn't do for me that much.
I've grown really bored with this show despite some fun humor at times and decent action. It is playing out like a typical procedural with little to no connection with the serial elements in the pilot.
I thought the pilot had potential, but FOX rearranging th e episodes has left me wanting. They established the procedural side and ignored what I look for in Sci-Fi series, a heavy serial myth arc with deep plotlines.
I will give it one more episode but if they do not reconnect to the serialized elements in the pilot I am done with it.
A TV guide intervew did say we would get back to those things in The Pilot.
I'm thinking they're getting the procederal episodes out of the way to give the latter half of the season a stronger finish.
I wish they would have thrown some mythology in here and there, although the episodes are treading around a lot of similar subject matter...I was also hoping to see/get into darker sides of the characters, I wasn't expecting DRN's little venture with DRN 494 to work out (unless this turns out to be a set up upisode later on) Right now it reminds me of Hawaii 5-0 with better acting, filming, and sci-fi...
I was thinking same thing about it. If they added some stupid buddy music theme to the banter time between Kennex and Dorian it would be just like Hawaii Five-0 basically.
I assumed after the initial articles came out about FOX rearranging episodes they had a purpose and now that purpose seems to be to establish a fnabase with procedural episodes and to push all the serial elements back to the second half of the season. To me this is a lose-lose situation.
If the show draws in more fans because of the procedural elements what will they think when the show runs off a handful of serialized episodes? In the meantime it turns off many Sci-Fi fans like myself who crave serial plots. Then worst of all is the possibility of FOX tweaking episode orders in season 2 (if the show even gets renewed - unlikely IMO).
The tweaking of the episodes basically removed my desire to watch the series if I am honest. There was something missing between the pilot and the subsequent episodes. Everything felt like it evolved too fast because it did! The writers' design was to have more character growth and serialized aspects in the first half of the season... Where character and plot development should be
Honestly even WITH the correct episode order I think there is just too much procedural cop show in the series for me. Most of the episodes have felt very similar to me since liek you said, the are treading on the same themes over and over. We are 6 episodes in now and only the pilot had any real myth arc to it. That is a MAJOR let down to me.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Dude...put it away! LoL,love this show! Now Sleepy Hollow!

ReplyDeletehow can you not love this show....really good episode
ReplyDeleteStahl and Kennex were so cute. Dorian was very sweet, glad he's not Ken-like LOL.
ReplyDeleteLoved Dorian bringing the box to Maya. and VAN FLIP. Awesome.

ReplyDeleteAww Dorian and Maya bonding is so cute :) and am I the only one who don't like Stahl? Awkward stuff between her and Kennex. Just my opinion!

Stahl kinda seems out of place andl ike others, there's a lack of chemistry between her and Kennex.
ReplyDeleteOh ya. I don't like her either. In my own little shipping world, Kennex is with Captain Maldonado ;-)
ReplyDeletehmm -_-
ReplyDeleteYeah, but right now it's alright for me. Making them the final couple, maybe not.
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming you're not feeling that *ship* either?
ReplyDeleteWhat have you heard about the actress?
ReplyDeleteactually, i am feeling the ship

ReplyDeleteI loved the episode and the ending . John and Valerie are really great together.
ReplyDeletecan't wait for next episode.
Hard to read that, wouldn't a smile be more fitting then? :)
ReplyDeleteJust that apparently some don't like her. I don't know much.
ReplyDeleteOhh, really? I haven't heard anything about people's opinion about her. I also don't know much other than what you told me. But for me personally, she doesn't do for me that much.
ReplyDeletelol. that face is how i feel when i picture kennex an the captain
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to Andy again seeing the last time we saw him was on Eureka :).
ReplyDeletea favorite ep. Hope the show gets a chance to keep getting stronger.
