    Me too. I have nothing against the guy, but its the hype about how great he is and all that's turning me off. Just shut the hell up and let the episodes speak for themselves.

    Me three. I'm glad Felicity is getting her own love interest, but I am thoroughly sick of of the hype, and already sick of him. The P.R. department really blew this one.

    Yeah, and hype tends to backfire unless it's justified. The more awesome you make a character out to be, the more awesome it NEEDS to be in order to meet the audience's expectations. It's the underdogs that tend to resonate with the audience. Look at Felicity herself - no one made a big deal about her when she first appeared, she was supposed to be a minor character who would only appear in a couple of episodes. Yet the audience fell in love wit her and she ended up becoming a series regular. I'm not sure that would've happened if her first appearance had been preceded by endlesss "OMG YOU'RE NEVER GONNA BELIEVE HOW AWESOME THIS FELICITY CHARACTER IS!" promotion.

    Ugh EXACTLY. The hype is putting me off instead of making me interested. I get it that they want to get as much attention as possible to the Flash but I, for one, have absolutely no desire to watch the show.

    I think people would have gotten pretty sick of the promotion if they tried to hype it so much. It's one of the reasons Felicity and Olicity worked for me. They weren't even supposed to be a thing (ship and just the character).


    They're trying waaay too hard with Barry.

    They did the exact same thing with John Barrowman as Merlyn and that character turned out to be a disaster.

    Ohhh she cursed! Nice!! I want to see Barry come on (not just for the obvious of introducing him. and not b/c i want to see Oliver's reaction) b/c i think when he arrives, we'll finally see more of Felictiy's world, not surrounding Oliver and Diggle. I want to know what she does in her spare time, and i think with Barry coming on the scene. That we'll get that. Or i hope we will. We should!!!
