I think it's the glasses and her makeup on Arrow. Felicity is supposed to be 25 and they're trying to hide Emily being just 22, so they make her seem older. She looks her age in CW photoshoots and such.
Im a huge olicity fan. I don't really see the chemistry between felicity and barry, but he's an awesome character. I don't think there will be thing between the two because grant gustin is only appearing on 2 episodes. I just want to see jealous oliver!
Emily is just 22? Wow! She does look younger without the glasses and with her hair down, but not *that* young. Mind you, I love Felicity's look on Arrow and actually find her prettier with glasses, a ponytail and casual clothes than when they doll her up. So when I say she looks older I of course aren't saying it as a bad thing (I want to point that out because we unfortunately live in a society that considers aging a bad thing - when people say "she looks older than she is", it often sounds like a slight, as in older=uglier...).
Grant, on the other hand, looks so freaking young. I'm not surprised he played a 16-year-old on Glee, because he can pass for a teen more than at least 90% of the older actors who play such roles.
You know, that line I can deal with, but I just about died (and not in the good way) in 1x21 when she told Ollie "It feels good to have you inside me". It's one thing to be socially awkward and say inappropriate, it's another to act like an alien who just landed on the planet... I can't buy that even someone as geeky and babbly as Felicity would say *that*. It was supposed to be a hilarious moment, but to me it was really clunky and cringe-worthy.
So I heard these two are supposed to have good chemistry? I don't see it. And this is coming from someone who doesn't ship any couples on this show, but I've been reading about this suppposed Barry/Felicity chemistry and if this sneak peak is any indication, I don't think they have it.
Nerd love! You gotta love them! it`s hard to focussed on the action part when the producers try to shovel a relatioship on our faces! ... - "Maybe he thinks he penetrates just fine" OH GOD THAT DIRTY MOUTH FELICITY! haha
Its only been 3 minutes worth of previews. What do you expect, wait for the full episode to air before judging them.
I don't get how Felicity is more mature than Barry from this, Barry sounds very intellectual and enthusiastic, that doesnt make him less mature. When Felicity is saying all those innuendos slips, inappropriately to her bosses and other people noone calls her immature. Barry is exactly in Felicity's league, they got a lot in common, a connection and get on well, they actually do like and are attracted to each other. There is nothing wrong with a student teacher relationship, but this isnt it. They are both teachers and students of each other.
People are just looking for reasons to hate, for obvious reasons
Hey! Well, it is a TV show. Felicity is naive enough to take certain phrases on face value and blurt without thinking of their implications in popular spoken language. I agree that such a scenario would be indecent as an actual situation. But we can afford to lighten up for fiction and not take it so seriously. Besides, I don't know if it's the actress or the writer or the director but she manages to pull it off without sounding vulgar. Inappropriate yes, but not obscene :)
I remember the feeling! With a lot of good will, I've decided to interpret Felicity's comment such that she meant to express that she was something like a Trojan Horse and that Oliver was, virtually, penetrating the enemy's lair along with her.
Haha Barry's totally fangirling. That's funny. And the more he talks i swear he's seems so young for Felicity. I'm excited anyway. "Maybe he thinks he penetrates just fine" LOL, was i the only one who went to a dirty place with that?? LOL I mean c'mon you can't blame me...that was a "That's what she said" moment. They left that WIDE OPEN!! LMAO
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
He is such a Nerd, I already love him.
ReplyDeleteI think he know Felicity work for the arrow
ReplyDeleteBarry is adorable, but I have to say, he looks like a kid crushing on his teenage babysitter (Felicity)... :)
ReplyDeleteGustin is still 1.5 years older than Emily according to Wiki.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but she looks older than him

ReplyDelete"Maybe he thinks he penetrates just fine" -Felicity on the Vigilante.
ReplyDeleteI really want to meet the dialogue-writer for this character!

ReplyDeleteLOL this should be great! i'm so excited :D
ReplyDeleteAlready love the guy. Looks like a great character ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah... they don't have any chemistry at all, especially compared to Olicity's flaming hot chemistry. Boring sneak peek and possible pairing.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even think about it like that, lol

Coming from an Olicity fan, Oh what a huge surprise.
ReplyDeleteShe's younger than Willa.
ReplyDeleteHoly crap.

ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of Olicity or Lauroliver and I agree with her.

I think what helps make her look older is how mature she is.
