Almost Human: "Is that all for one person?!"
ReplyDeleteHaven: Audrey gone wild... or whoever she's now.
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon A Time: Hookerbelle, vulnerable Regina, Medusa FTW
ReplyDeleteHomeland: Now what's Brody gonna do? Yikes!
Almost Human: The Door Knob to my soul!
Sleepy Hollow: Poor Jeremy Crane. Hope there's more.
Once Upon A Time in Wonderland: Cool concepts, but could of been better.
Once Upon a Time: More father and daughter scenes, pretty please!
ReplyDeleteCommon! OUATiW was epic :D
ReplyDeleteSleepy Hollow: John Noble returns to save the day!
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon A Time: Pan never fails. Even the Gilmore version!
Almost Human: Life-sized Ken dolls are the new Redshirts.
Homeland: Carrie doesn't listen. Saves the day. Yep.
Masters Of Sex: It's about the man BEHIND the penis.
I think there were a few things they could of done better...I think the episode will be better later when things are more fleshed out. I think more back story on some of these characters *Rabbit, Ana, Will) was needed to make it's final scenes more effective.
ReplyDeleteI was glad for the Cyrus side of things and I like the concept of Jafar's rain cloud, Genie myth, and Genie switch, but Ana switching on a dime (and suddenly being so powerless) along with the White Rabbit's demands unjustly definitions of home and love and his demands, While Alice and Will took SO much time posturing in distrust didn't sit well with me.
American Horror Story: Going nowhere fast. Needs some horror!
ReplyDeleteGrey's Anatomy: Meh. Some good stuff, too many characters.
Sons of Anarchy: Game-changing. Heart-breaking. Unforgettable.
Arrow: Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteAmerican Horror Story: Coven - Season three is going downhill really fast.
ReplyDeleteHomeland - Wake me up when they kill Brody.
Lost Girl - Kenzi and Tamsin highlight a solid episode.
Will and Ana already had their flashback episode, we saw that he gave all up for her and she, well, she just abandoned him. I don't think we need more flashbacks but present scenes. Ana needs to show him that she has changed.
ReplyDeleteBut I do agree that they should make flashbacks about the time Ana was learning her magic, because she obviously didn't have it back at the enchanted forrest, and that's something that I really want to see. Maybe they'll show it later, we have yet to see the Ana-centered episode :)
Alice doesn't trust the queen because Ana separated her from Cyrus AND hurt her BFF, so it's normal. Knave doesn't trust her because she broke his heart (I don't think we need more motive than that :P) Alice knows (I think 'suspects' rather) that it was Ana who freed Knave, but one right doesn't make all the wrong right, right? (that made more sense in my head) And about Rabbit's family, I don't think the Queen really cares for them - she cares for Will and she knew that none of them had a lot of time
I don't think Ana was powerless, but she didn't want to use her magic. All wizards and witches on the shows (ouat and ouatiw) know that magic comes with a prize, she probably had to pay - just as Regina had to kill her father, and doesn't want to risk it again.
But yeah. Flashback-Rabbit was kinda rude and pushy, I didn't like him either...
My main problem with Wonderland is that I find it extremely hard to believe no one had the brains to suggest using a carefully worded wish to solve their problems.
ReplyDelete"I wish, from this moment forward, that Jafar and Anastasia are to never again use, perform, or in any way benefit from any kind of magic for the rest of their lives."
Show over.
The Big Bang Theory: Turns out Sheldon really is important.
ReplyDeleteGrimm, Cold Blooded: There really are alligators in the sewers.
Arrow: Shado is dead. Slade in Starling City.
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon a Time: not the same curse again..
Grimm: what is the point of Renard's storyline?
Sleepy Hollow: I hope Jeremy was resurrected with Icabod.
AOS Coulson no! MIke no!
ReplyDeleteArrow: That's how a superhero show is done!
ReplyDeleteCommunity: Great week to be a Human Being!
Homeland: Getting good again.
Masters of Sex: Maintaining its stellar story telling.
Person of Interest: Please come back soon!
Yes they had "A" flashback episode, not enough to make us understand them, especially Ana. We understand she wanted a new life, but what we don't understand is why, -how she learned of Wonderland in the first place, and what it meant to become the Red Queen (what she didn't know/what she sacrificed). Without that we can't possibly feel her pain or understand why that life wasn't what she thought it would be and thus the power of her alleged "I want to be with you again Will" felt over exaggerated and cheep.
ReplyDeleteAna became powerless in comparison to Jafar, as she ran from Jafar took Cyrus to Alice...(Her Palace is being destroyed and has a death cloud on her head, in which she lies about the fact that it was only there for her!)
Disagree about the Knave. We know we have a missing story here about how he become the Knave of HEARTS. (Cora) and how Alice helped him retrieve his heart, because it was "removed", and thus why he has also hid it elsewhere so he doesn't have to feel. I feel pretty certian that Ana's morphing more aptly into the Red Queen and somehow loosing her husband tie into Cora's co-existence in Wonderland and I think Ana did more to Will than just abandoned him that day...
LOL! I can live with that because I like the catch 22 factor in that, like magic, wishes come with a price! So I can buy into the ridiculousness of them saying half balked wishes just so we can get crazy plots. Plus half the time they're panicked -in a do or die situation!
ReplyDeleteHa! I loved how you mentioned POI even though it wasn't on this week! :D
ReplyDeleteJust love that show so much. That and Community.
ReplyDeleteWell, we never have what we've got until it's gone. Maybe Anastasia didn't believe Knave was enough for her - we can actually see it through the episodes, when she talks to Cyrus or Alice (or when Will talks to Alice) she doesn't believe in love as blindly as Cyrus or Alice do, probably because her mother kept on telling her that, which we also saw on a flashback.
ReplyDeleteMaybe she didn't know it was only for her - as far as she knows, Jafar was angry at all of them. We, as viewers, ofc know what happened because we saw it.
I had forgotten that part (the heart thingie) and that makes a really good theory, Will pledging alliance to Anastasia's husband opponent. It would definitely give a good story to tell, but then we have zero clue regarding who taught Anastasia how to use magic.
You can't expect them to put all those things - which, thb, are REALLY good points in one episode. Regarding Ana being good or bad, we can take Regina for example, it is not black and white, I guess well have to wait.
But I didn't like the show at the beginning, but episode by episode it became better and better - I'm really enjoying it and I think they are just giving us a puzzle and we have to figure it little by little :)
Right, but think of how much story Regina has, that these guys don't that is why hers and Rumples and Snow's scenes tend to be compelling, because we have oddles and oddles of story to see what they went through.
ReplyDeleteSpoiler about who taught Ana Magic:
H and K have hinted that it was Cora and Barbra Heershy is set to appear for at least one episode when they return in March!
But the scenes came little by little. We didn't actually know what had happened to Daniel until Stable Boy (which was in between ep 15 and 20, if I'm not mistaken)
ReplyDeleteWhat I think it's the main difference between Once and OUAiW is that in Once you have more characters, and they give you more background history to play with...
SHE IS?! you made my day :D I didn't know that
Yes, but I don't recall a mid-season finale episode where whatever is happening in the current story didn't justify it's means in either that story's back stories or in episode before it.
ReplyDeleteLike even if instead of having the Rabbit flashback, they would have given a glimpse at The Red Queen being degraded by someone else and/or a glimpse The Knave/Alice being hurt by her in some other way, it would have made all the difference. Or if they would have squeezed in another episode before this one featuring another back story of Red Queen. That's all it would of taken.
I agree that they lack characters that would also give them more stories to tell, but they are sitting on a couple that could also be a nice treat down the line like Lizard and Silvermist (and even Tweedles would rise to the foreground might be fun to see)
Granted this is only episode 8, but that's why they should of squeezed one more in, or have gone about episode 8 a little different IMO
PS: Yes I am SO excited about seeing her again! :D
This was by far my favorite episode of Wonderland. It really has gotten better and better with each episode for me. Odd that we can have such a different taste regarding the episode :P
ReplyDeleteHa! I loved 3-7 the way they flowed into each other! :D
ReplyDeleteArrow- Superb episode, cliffhanger in suspense.
ReplyDeleteAlmost Human: Lovely episode. Stahl and Kennex were cute ♥
ReplyDeleteAmerican Horror Story: Just speechless. Cordelia loosing the visions, pitty.
Arrow: Highlights:
Olicity and Flash introduction. Boring drug.
Chicago Fire: If Matt dies I’m punching the writters.
Elementary: I like the idea of Sherlock sponsoring.
Grey’s Anatomy: I knew it! I so want them together!
Haven: I’m not sure I like this path.
Homeland: He’ll die. I was hoping he wouldn’t.
Lost Girl: Boring without Dyson. Love
Kenzi/Tamsin/Bruce.
Masters of Sex: Glad to caught up for the season finale.
Misfits: A bit boring for a series finale.
Nashville: Love Julliette/Avery. OMG about the shooing.
Once Upon a Time: Henry and Pan are so annoying!
Reign:
Mary/Francis: cute. Hoping for Mary/Bash.
Revenge: Can’t guess how the plan’s gonna go.
Scandal: ♥ Jake/Fitz team. Watch out for Eli.
Sleepy Hollow: Deep and compelling. Want of John Noble.
The Mentalist: Should enjoy love-hate relationship but don’t.
The Tomorrow People: Cute to see Astrid with the TP.
The Vampire Diaries: Loved Damon. Hope Elena doesn’t bore again.
The Big Bang Theory: Boring episode.
The Crazy Ones: Loved the Zandru idea.
Ok, in that we agree (one more ep before mid-season finale) but the rabbit scenes, as much as I hated them, were kinda necessary, because it showed that she almost died and that Cyrus couldn't do anything about it - it kinda made him think about priorities..
ReplyDeleteMaybe next chapter will the Ana-centric, because after her confession I take that she'll go after him - maybe then we'll see all that she had to endure, how horrible her husband was and how she came to the realisation that she missed the Knave
I was so sad when they killed her in OUAT, she was one of my favourite villains of all times :)

Ya That's what I think too! I think the next episode will make that scene more significant.
Ya, It was too bad they killed "her" off on OUAT, although I can understand the idea of having the main characters resolve some things that were out there blowing in the wind in order to progress! -But she was a nice villain. I keep hoping that maybe OUAT will venture into after life existence a little more and that we could see some of the bygone characters in current time again!! :)
Either way, I hope it's awesome :D Anastasia is my favourite character so far :) - I like complex people :P
ReplyDeleteI don't think they'll bring Cora back, ofc to the present, I'm pretty sure she'll keep appearing on flashbacks
Elementary: Bell better not leave the NYPD
ReplyDeleteShe's my favorite character too! But I'm also found of Jafar, The Knave, and crave more Lizard! XD
ReplyDeletePS: We have seen Maleficent post death (she keeps incarnating), Daniel & Gerhardt, and other zombies, let alone there might be something to the ethereal plane/pocket universe that Henry/Aurora, Charming/Snow used to make contact...I don't think we're done exploring it yet.
When did we see Maleficent? God, I have to re-watch the show...
ReplyDeleteBut the Henry/Aurora, Charming/Snow world is for people with the sleeping curse, so Cora can't be dead. She could be brought to live as a Zombie, but I don't think Regina will go down that path again...
Sleepy Hollow - Great Katrina backstory. Jeremy will return.
ReplyDeleteAlmost Human - Dorian is the most human of all
SHIELD - best cliffhanger by far this week
Goldbergs - I felt very sorry for the teacher
Trophy Wife - Best comedy episode this week
Arrow - TOMMY!!!!! Best thing in TV this week
Wonderland - Way too much drippy true love speech
TBBT - For once, Sheldon stole show for me
Crazy Ones - You tell that obnoxious brat, Sydney
Elementary - Sometimes Sherlock is a huge douche
White Collar - Hyper enthusiastic Peter is loads of fun
Grimm - Double episodes = twice as great Friday
I concur. He's too good for that.
ReplyDeleteWonderland - Agree. Too slow in many places.
ReplyDeleteGrimm - I like getting larger worldview.
ReplyDeleteRenard could've had a video conference with the resistance. He didn't have to actually travel to Europe with recurring characters that are so under-developed, I don't even know their names nor care about. Getting a larger worldview would have been fun had these characters been more interesting, but it just isn't working for me.
