Probably 12:00 P.M (though there is a small chance it's 11:00 A.M) !
Indeed, longtime director Jon Cassar has tweeted a photo of the script of episode 2 (written by 24 co-creator Bob Cochran and seasons 5-8 executive producer David Fury) and it turns out the following takes place between 1:00 P.M and 2:00 P.M, suggesting that episode 1 starts at noon, or 11:00 AM, but I trust that the won't start skipping time until later in the day, so I bet it's 12:00 P.M.
It will be the third time a 24 Day starts in the middle of the day - after season 3 (1pm) and season 8 (4pm). It's certainly better and more original than starting in the morning between 6am and 8am (seasons 2, 4, 5, 6 & 7), and much like Day 3, it will truly allow us to start with many Day episodes and end with plenty of Day episodes too (well, now with the 12-episode format it depends on when they skip time, too).
As a reminder, here's when Jack's pravious crazy Days had started :
Day 1 : Midnight.
Day 2 : 8:00 A.M.
Day 3 : 1:00 P.M.
Day 4 : 7:00 A.M.
Day 5 : 7:00 A.M.
Day 6 : 6:00 A.M.
Day 7 : 8:00 A.M.
Day 8 : 4:00 P.M.
FYI, a big casting announcement of a new recurring character is expected today.
Are you happy with the clock starting to tick around noon? When would you have preferred the season to start? (it's quite important, as it often shapes the action, you can't have the same story starting at 3am or 12pm)
