Monroe and Derek for me. Monroe is the best thing about Grimm and I'm really glad that the Teen Wolf choice was Derek and not Scott. If there had been a plain Other option, I would have chosen that too. I find Peter's manipulation on Teen Wolf awesme too. He's by far my favorite bad guy on the show.
Love Ned Stark being on the list, but he isn't a wolf so didn't get my vote. Got to go with Alcide, Dyson and as Hemlock grove is a guilty pleasure, Peter.
I don't see you much any longer, so going to talk Gilmore Girls to you. ;) Only 9 more eps before Jared leaves and they have changed his hair( I like it) and I noticed he is wearing the bracelet he had for years on SPN. This is such a FUN series, thanks for talking me into it. Wish now I had bought the DVDs to marathon it.
I found SPN s8 cheap buy it now on ebay with free shipping and can not believe they used a bonus section for the making of that awful Bitten. The worse ep ever(for me anyway) and they waste time on the DVD...UGH. lol
You are missing out on a super season of SPN and you are missed. Hope your Thanksgiving was a good one.
I'm kind of cheating since he's the only one I know on the poll, but: Tyler Lockwood. His becoming a werewolf seemed like of his evolution from a would-be date rapist and overall asshole punk to a mature, likable character. And it jumpstarted his and Caroline's relationship in a natural and effective way: Caroline, despite being in as much danger around a werewolf as any human (if not more), stayed with Tyler during his transformation, and he realized her feelings for him must go deeper for friendship. Of course, as seasons went by they managed to screw Tyler up just like everything else about the show, but he remained one of the last likable characters - and last men not to blindly worship at Elena's altar. So he gets points for that.
Jonathan_Andre's comment reminded me of Ruby from OUaT, so I added an "Other" vote. She's a sweetheart, and despite her initial appearance as a bratty teen who dressed like a Hooters waitress, she proved to be a capable leader (taking charge when the town was terrified of Regina in "We Are Both") and an awesome friend to Snow and Charming (I especially love her with them in flashbacks). In addition, while I'm glad she didn't successfully sacrifice herself to the townspeople in "Child of the Moon", it's nice to finally see a character TAKE RESPONSIBILITY for having done bad things and believing that she deserves punishment for them. Characters who have sinned 100 times more than she ever will tend to be instantly forgiven the second they show a flicker of humanity, or turn out to have a tragic backstory.
Derek (Teen Wolf), Dyson (Lost Girl) and other: Ruby (OUAT). I love these 3 characters. At the same time badass, sexy and sensitive. Also I really like Scott and Peter (Teen Wolf), such opposite kinds of wolves and men.
I asked for Wolves, without closer definition of the "term". I specifically did not use the term werewolf because Dyson is a shifter, Rhydian a wolfblood and Monroe a Blutbader. True if I would have kept it all supernatural you could discuss about the Starks.
My favourites are: 1) Rhydian (more because of the great interpretation of wolves on that show) 2) Dyson 3) Monroe Actually I wanted to wait with this Poll til next year, after Bitten has aired, but the list would only have gotten longer.
Hi! Long time no chat. I miss talking Supernatural with you too. I am so glad you liked Gilmore Girls. It had some of the best character banter around. Both Supernatural and Arrow are on sale for $10 right now at Amazon so I am breaking down and buying SPN. I didn't realize they had a Bitten bonues feature but nothing in season 8 surprises me anymore. I have been hearing mixed reviews about season 9, lthough at the beginning of the year it was mostly positive. I will watch the season at the beginning of the summer and hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised by a return to quality characters and story development. I really wantto like SPN again, if only so I can rejoin the conversation. I've had a lot of fun with SUpernatural fans on SpoilerTV over the years and so this is like going through withdrawal. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving too and that the babies are doing okay.
Josh. Being Human, hands down. I love him so much. He does so much for Sally and Aidan. Even when he wasn't a wolf, he had Sally and Aidan's back, (Nora too). He's awesome!!
Grimm's Monroe, and OUAT's Red Riding Hood/Ruby, are my favorite wolves, of the show's I watch.
Question: The Starks aren't wolves though, are they? I thought they just own wolves. Although, I think one of the younger boys can possess a wolf or something. Still, not "wolfy" enough for me to choose them.
The Stark kids would be better choices than their father Ned, because they're all wargs with the inherent ability to see through the eyes of their direwolves (and other animals, with practice), and he wasn't. Bran is the best at warging, then Jon and Arya. Sansa's abilities haven't presented themselves because her wolf is dead, but according to GRR the Stark children are all wargs.
Your right, although I assume they inherited it from the Stark line and the father never had a direwolf, so it's probably simliar to Sansa. I just did not comment on it. It felt like spoiling, since no one remembers the scene with Bran. Aryas talent hast not been explored in the series either, so I'm not sure how they are going to address it further.
I really did not think of her. My original intent was to have the question male Wolf. I'm waiting for Bitten to air. Next year I will do another one either two one female and one male wolf or a mixed one, in hopes they get picked. I submitted this poll around a week ago.
No one remembers the scene with Bran where he wargs into Summer and saves Jon? Really? Odd.
From what I've gleaned from GRR's comments, they probably inherited it through the Stark line, but Ned himself didn't have it. Even when it's present in a family, it's not a common thing. The fact that they're all wargs indicates destiny at play.
Arya/Nymeria. Only because we know very little about Arya's wolf since she chased her off from the camp way back in Season 1. I like the mystery surrounding Nymeria and Arya and I hope GRRM has some surprises in store for them later on.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Haley (the originals)
ReplyDeleteWhere is Scott from Teen Wolf? From this list I'd say Tyler.
ReplyDeleteMonroe!
ReplyDeleteJosh (Being Human)Monroe ( Grimm)
ReplyDeleteMonroe and Derek for me.
ReplyDeleteMonroe is just adorkable!
ReplyDeleteAlcide (True Blood), Derek (Teen Wolf) and other ... Scott (Teen Wolf)
ReplyDeleteTom and George from the original Being Human and Oz from Buffy
ReplyDeleteKlaus from the Originals
ReplyDeleteLove Ned Stark being on the list, but he isn't a wolf so didn't get my vote. Got to go with Alcide, Dyson and as Hemlock grove is a guilty pleasure, Peter.
ReplyDeleteKlaus Mikaelson !!! #TheOriginals

Derek (Teen Wolf)
ReplyDeleteI love Monroe! I have to wonder, if he and Rosalee have a baby, how much Blutbad will it be?
ReplyDeleteSansa Srark!
ReplyDeleteMine were Dyson (Lost Girl), Monroe (Grimm) and i also voted other for Klasus (The Originals).
ReplyDeleteOther -- George From the original Being Human
ReplyDeleteFrom the list: Josh (Being Human), Dyson (Lost Girl), Monroe (Grimm)
ReplyDeleteOther: Isaac Lahey (Teen Wolf)
Derek and scott
ReplyDeleteDerek (Teen Wolf), Dyson (Lost Girl) and other: Ruby (OUAT). I love these 3 characters. At the same time badass, sexy and sensitive.
ReplyDeleteAlso I really like Scott and Peter (Teen Wolf), such opposite kinds of wolves and men.
Josh (Being Human) & Monroe (Grimm) also Scott (Teen Wolf)
ReplyDeleteOther - Oz. Since when were the Starks werewolves?
ReplyDeleteAlcides!
ReplyDeleteOh darn can't believe I forgot her. Probably because she is too long gone.
ReplyDeleteI like Peter too. I thought I added a "Other Teen Wolf", but I also thought I submitted the question with male Wolf....
ReplyDeleteI asked for Wolves, without closer definition of the "term". I specifically did not use the term werewolf because Dyson is a shifter, Rhydian a wolfblood and Monroe a Blutbader.
ReplyDeleteTrue if I would have kept it all supernatural you could discuss about the Starks.

ReplyDelete1) Rhydian (more because of the great interpretation of wolves on that show)
2) Dyson
3) Monroe

ReplyDeleteNo prblem at all. I love the variety you put into this poll and the fun topic. Thanks so much fro doing this.
ReplyDeleteOz from Buffy was on my shortlist too. I loved that character.
ReplyDeleteGood point! Now I'm curious :P
ReplyDeleteGreat poll anyway!
ReplyDeletePeter Hale!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMonroe is my favourite Grimm character :)
ReplyDeleteDerek (Teen Wolf), Monroe (Grimm), Peter (Hemlock Grove) and Isaac (Teen Wolf). Awesome poll :)
ReplyDeleteJosh. Being Human, hands down. I love him so much. He does so much for Sally and Aidan. Even when he wasn't a wolf, he had Sally and Aidan's back, (Nora too). He's awesome!!
ReplyDeleteMonroe (Grimm), Josh (Being Human), and Red (OUAT).
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose, Arya Stark :-)
ReplyDeleteHayley and Ruby/ Red Riding Hood.
ReplyDeleteGrimm's Monroe, and OUAT's Red Riding Hood/Ruby, are my favorite wolves, of the show's I watch.
ReplyDeleteQuestion: The Starks aren't wolves though, are they? I thought they just own wolves. Although, I think one of the younger boys can possess a wolf or something. Still, not "wolfy" enough for me to choose them.
Klaus and Hayley from The Originals
ReplyDeleteRuby/Red Riding Hood from OUAT
Monroe from Grimm
Im confused as to why the Starks are options, does it mean the direwolves they own? I pick Greywind!
In this list missing
ReplyDeleteTesla ( the Sancuary)
Except he wasn't a wolf, he was a Vampire.
ReplyDeleteYeah This ^
ReplyDeleteI think I have to go for Tyler, been a fan of TVD since the beginning! :)
ReplyDeleteQuite shocked to see Derek at the top and Alcide quite far down though. Would have thought Alcide would have been higher up than that.
Mhhm did not think about the direwolves, will take that into the next poll (next year).
ReplyDeleteIf you think about what Bran was able to do with Summer.....
Derek and Other for Scott (Teen Wolf) and Hayley (The Originals/TVD)
ReplyDeleteScott. Why is Derek in the poll and not Scott?? He's the alpha now.
ReplyDeleteThe Stark kids would be better choices than their father Ned, because they're all wargs with the inherent ability to see through the eyes of their direwolves (and other animals, with practice), and he wasn't. Bran is the best at warging, then Jon and Arya. Sansa's abilities haven't presented themselves because her wolf is dead, but according to GRR the Stark children are all wargs.
ReplyDeleteOther- Ruby/Red Riding Hood (OUaT). How on earth could you miss her out???
ReplyDeleteYour right, although I assume they inherited it from the Stark line and the father never had a direwolf, so it's probably simliar to Sansa. I just did not comment on it. It felt like spoiling, since no one remembers the scene with Bran. Aryas talent hast not been explored in the series either, so I'm not sure how they are going to address it further.

Alcide, Monroe and Dyson.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. The Stark children, including Jon Snow, could be considered human-wolf hybrids in some way.
ReplyDeleteSo my vote is: Other - Jon Snow and Other Stark - Bran Stark
Other - Wolf from The 10th Kingdom (I love him so much!), Dyson and Monroe.
ReplyDeleteArya/Nymeria. Only because we know very little about Arya's wolf since she chased her off from the camp way back in Season 1. I like the mystery surrounding Nymeria and Arya and I hope GRRM has some surprises in store for them later on.
