I like the idea of Aladdin being on OUaT, even if it's kind of being done on OUaTiW (which I have not watched, but features Jafar, so I've heard). Hercules, King Arthur and the likes strike me as venturing too far into different mythologies - but then, so was Frakenstein, and probably others I can't remember right now. So it might actually help keep the show fresh. Who knows, I just hope they prioritize writing *interesting* and consistent characters over adding as many different fairytales and stories as possible.
Yeah. He's being played by Naveen Andrews a.k.a. Sayid from Lost, so the Lost/OUaT connection continues. I think some day we'll realize there are only like 30 different actors on ABC, and they keep moving from one show to another.
Great poll. I would love to see mot of these. I would vote Aladin but it's kind of being done on Wonderland so I am not sure how that would work. I voted for Pocahontas on the poll
Mine too! :) Yes, they're all animals, for that reason, mix the unnamed cowardly lion with Simba it would be great. We got a talking cricket and a talking rabbit! It would be awesome that the kingdom of the Lion King was placed in Oz.
Even there is a comic book of The Lion King titled "A Cowardly Lion" :)
The Lion King is may favorite animated Disney movie too! -But I agree that unless we have a story where Lions are turned into to people, or people are turned into Lions, I can't see how it would work either...
but this whole conversation makes me want to share something I found on the internet recently and may use as my avatar come next spring!
I have always said if Pocahontas showed up I would stop watching...NOT a fictional character, therefore wouldn't have been in fairy tale land to still be alive. She died in 1617, in fact. Ditto John Smith, but I assumed he wouldn't show up without her. So they would have to do some really crazy stuff to get her into Storybrooke or even FTL. Now, if they somehow take our characters back in time...that might be different.
My vote is Merlin...gotta keep going with the magic people.
To be honest, I don't really care which characters they bring in. What I would love to see it s story line that integrates the story tellers themselves. I mean, stories were written by people, the stories become legend... what happen to the writers of these stories? Do they become legend themselves, if they brought the stories to life? It could get messy and I don't trust that the writers to know how to bring that story to life, but I find the idea of these story origins so interesting.
Hmmm maybe there's a glitch? I have been having trouble with Disqus on and off this week, but it's working fine for me right now. I posted a pic of Game of Thrones Lannister clan as Lion King characters art work!
I will try posting you a link: http://laughingsquid.com/house-lannister-from-game-of-thrones-illustrated-in-the-style-of-the-lion-king/
Aladdin and Rapunzel! Alexander Koch (Junior from Under the Dome) for Aladdin and maybe Britt Robertson for Rapunzel? Pocahontas and John would be great as well.
I mean King Arthur and Merlin are the only right choice obviously! ;)) I have an issue with to many Kings, Princes, Queens and Princesses and no body explained where who is coming from and how the enchanted forest is devided. But Aladin is one I really want to see but they probably prep him for wonderland!
I'm think all the Arabian Night characters will probably appear only in OUAT in Wonderland, but I def would love to see a Jafar and Red Queen crossover with Rumple and Regina!
I also would love more Aurtherian characters to appear. If King Aurther could only be played by Josh Holloway or Dominic Monoghan! And Guinevere, Merlin, The Green Knight, or Morgan le Fay would be neat to see too!
Repunzel is another cool one!
Not on the list: The Emperors New Suit, Thumbelina, Anne Lisbith, ect.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Repunzel seems really cool
ReplyDeletePocahontas and John Smith!!! My favourite disney film!
ReplyDeleteRapunzel and plzzzz bring Cinderella back :(
ReplyDeleteIsn't Jafar in OUAT in Wonderland?
ReplyDeleteNice poll idea!

ReplyDeleteChupacabra
ReplyDeleteMerlin! The best F-ing wizard that could kick the ass out of Rampel, Regina and Pan in combine! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat about Simba, the Cowardly Lion? :P
ReplyDeleteGiselle! If they could get Amy Adams to appear, that would be fun!
ReplyDeleteThe Lion king is my favorite movie of all time, but I am not sure how can they make it happen in OUAT. After all, they're all animals in the movie lol

I'm voting for Rapunzel, but some greek mithology wouldn't hurt.
ReplyDeleteHahahahahahaha. And I had thought Simba was thinking outside the box.
ReplyDeleteWow, I just commented above about that. I'd love some Lion King, but I fear their CGI.
ReplyDeleteOh, the real Ursula. Good one.
ReplyDeleteMine too! :) Yes, they're all animals, for that reason, mix the unnamed cowardly lion with Simba it would be great. We got a talking cricket and a talking rabbit! It would be awesome that the kingdom of the Lion King was placed in Oz.

I know. Personally i'm very understanding about the CGI, don't bother me that much! I'm more worried about the plot instead :/
ReplyDeleteOh, I hadn't even thought about that. Hmm.

Aladdin, Jasmine, Hercules, King Arther, Merlin

ReplyDeletePocahontas!!
ReplyDeleteMorgana (from the Arthurian series)
ReplyDeleteDorothy (From Wizard Of Oz)
Megara (From Hurcules)
Cruella de Vil (101 Dalmations)
More than anything else, Tiana and Naveen because OUAT interpreting them being turned into frogs would be awesome.
ReplyDeleteI'd vote for Merlin, but I fear should he make an appearance, he'd be revealed to be Rumple's great-great-great… grand-grand-grand… You get the idea.
ReplyDeleteRapunzel - DEFINITELY!
ReplyDeletePlease share, now I am curious :)

Nobody who has appeared in a Disney movie. Actual fairytales would be nice.
ReplyDeleteOMG, this is amazing!!! So perfect... spot on.
ReplyDeleteThe Pied Piper - I love his tale
ReplyDeleteMerlin would be amazing!
ReplyDeleteRapunzel, Hercules, Pocahontas,Merlin, Jasmine, Cruella De Vill.
ReplyDeleteYa! Whoever the artist was did an awesome job!! XD
ReplyDeletePocahontas.
ReplyDeleteyeah, He was Peter Pan, season 3 episode 4th
ReplyDeleteThis is hard. Pocahontas is my first option followed by Merlin, Aladdin and Hercules... AND CHERNABOG! :)
ReplyDeleteWhen Wonderland gets axed, I want Jafar to appear on the normal show.
ReplyDeleteBrothers Grimm - it would be fun to go into that direction.
ReplyDeleteAladdin and Rapunzel! Alexander Koch (Junior from Under the Dome) for Aladdin and maybe Britt Robertson for Rapunzel? Pocahontas and John would be great as well.

ReplyDeleteI hope they take the Red Queen, The Knave, and Lizard with them too!
ReplyDeleteThe Snow Queen
ReplyDeleteFun Poll!
