The Walking Dead - Episode 4.05 - Internment - Preview

Nov 8, 2013

After spending last week episode outside the prison, in Internment, we are going back to the prison, and with the sickness and all that, it’s pretty much as dangerous as outside. I might say it’s even more dangerous. The walkers are outside, and now they are also inside !

So, what can you expect from this episode :

- Lots of suspense ! After the first 20 minutes, which were a little slow, I could not keep my eyes off my screen. What is happening in the prison is crazy and it’s awesome ! It’s exactly what you can expect from The Walking Dead, everything is calm and nice and then suddenly, all hell broke loose !

- Remember Glenn and Sasha were sick last time we saw. Well now, they are definitely sicker…. They are both in jeopardy. I’m really hoping they will survive this, but I’m having doubts. - Lots of deaths ! Yeah, it’s the Walking Dead folks, so people are dying and coming back as walker and after they finally died… or not. So, expect many, many deaths (including humans and walkers) in Internment.

- Has anyone seen Carol ? Rick will tell a couple of people what happened to Carol and why. They both react differently, one is totally okay with Rick’s decision, the other is quite saddened of losing Carol.

 - Daryl and its group found their way back to the prison ! Apparently, they did not want turn on the new car’s radio to listen to the army message again….

 - Father and Son bonding : Rick spends some quality time with his son and I really like how their relationship is evolving. It’s touching. Carl used to be a pain in the ass, but now, he is so much better and stronger. He isn’t a kid no more.

- Once again, during a walker attack, one character will act very stupidly, putting its life in real danger... Oh, and another one is just too dumb and slow, it is turned in less than 5 seconds. Stupid people make great walkers.

- Hershel is one of the main characters of this episode and I liked it. At first, when he was still at his farm, I had some troubles with Hershel. I did not see the point of his character. He was just old and conversative, and his point of view on walkers was irritating. (No, they are not people ! They eat people !). But now, he grew on me and now, I see why he is relevant to the story. He is calm and wise, he’s exactly what the group (and Rick) needed in season 2. Hershel is very good at making people think about their actions. He is a better moral compass than Dale ever was. Hershel still has his troubles with killing walkers (we saw it in season 2) and they are addressing that in this episode as well. It’s a nice evolution. So, yeah go Hershel ! … I’m not sure how much longer he can survive.

- Someone is coming back to the prison ! I’m not saying who, but it’s the last shot of the episode and you don’t wanna miss it.

Internment is a nice installment. The fourth season may be the best season yet of The Walking Dead. Everything is there, the new showrunner clearly understood what was wrong in the past seasons (useless dialogues, stupid decisions, etc) and he is establishing his mark on the show, and it’s an excellent one.

So, don’t miss the episode, it will in the UK on Friday 19th November on FOX.

  1. Someone coming back to the prison?
    Carol or The Governor??
I can't wait for this episode!

  2. Guess Daryl doesn't go after Carol then...Bummer.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Hoping it's the governor! So ready to see him back.

  4. Thanks Romain, glad you enjoyed it.

  5. it may be Carol, she said she would not leave without Lizzie and Mika....maybe she is coming back to take them away.

  6. Super excited. Can't wait til Sunday!

    ReplyDelete
  7. Does Daryl find out about what happened to Carol? The spoilers make it sound like only two people are told.

    ReplyDelete
  8. That would be a good turn to the story. She could say goodbye to Daryl, then take off with Lizzie. I have a sad feeling the figure in girl's boots was Mika.

  9. He might be the one who's saddened by her leaving. I figured The Governor wouldn't return until the mid-season finale but maybe the returning character is him but I hope it's Carol. Maybe she'll return to save someone's life and hopefully earn back some trust so she can stay. Who knows....other than DarkUFO and Romain lol.

  10. Wait! Is that Hershel lying on the floor? Oh no!!! Maybe he should take some antibiotics for the flu. (Yeah, that still aggravates me).

  11. Ship caryl but im scared daryl will be the one who agrees with dumping carol. He just hasn't acted close to her. Just feel so lied to about the closeness. Wonder if hershell cares. Probably lizzie sad shes not coming back. They're making like everyone hates her. She has done a lot for the group. Dont think I can take this show much more. Love you carol.

  12. I'm hoping that the person that is coming back is Carol, I've also seen this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=b9D_zgPlfyw which was released before season 4 started, and obviously shows Carol back with the group. I don't think they'd just send her away and never bring her back.

  13. Hmm I forgot about that particular video. I watched it a while back too. Sasha and Glenn's also there. One person missing though is Hershel. I've heard a lot of talk about him dying this season so maybe he won't make it. The speech he gave a couple of weeks ago did seem like a farewell speech. Him not being there means nothing though. I don't see Tyreese, Beth, or Carl either. Like you I'm hoping Carol returns and I'm hoping she'll be welcomed back as some sort of savior.

  14. Irrelevant. Duh I know more people know. Thanks for stating the obvious. My comment was a shoutout to the site admin and this article's writer.

  15. I was pointing to me. You cranky fool.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Well then spill lol. Don't make me get crankier :)

  17. Will Carol join the Govenor??

    ReplyDelete
  18. I am not going to tell you it. But Carol does not return in this episode. So you can scratch her of the list.

    ReplyDelete
  19. You suck so much but that does narrow it down a bit. The only other one I can think of is The Governor.

    ReplyDelete
  20. My first thought was that Rick probably tells Michonne and Daryl, seeing as he likely trusts them the most and because the others are all in quarantine. Daryl is saddened but I could see Michonne agreeing with Rick's decision. (In fact, I'm pretty sure Carol and Michonne haven't even had any scenes together either, so...)
There's also Maggie but IDK were her and Carol even close?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I don't think she'll join The Governor but there's a chance he may use her against the prison. One episode this season is called Live Bait. Maybe The Governor will use Carol as bait against Rick and the prison.

  22. I think AMC might have not been careful enough when releasing it. I mean, clearly, Carol comes back, they wouldn't release that clip if it had no relevance to a future episode at all. And well, they're not in that clip, but it's only 30 seconds long, it doesn't mean they're dead :)
I just really want her back, she's my favourite and I'm tired of all the hate she's gotten

    ReplyDelete
  23. Carol should get a lot of credit for saving Hershel's life. I'm sure even if they weren't close that gives Carol a lot of brownie points in Maggie's book.

    ReplyDelete
  24. That clip could mean nothing. Who knows it may have been a deleted scene. AMC might've used it to promote this season.

    ReplyDelete
  25. If the article hadn't say it was someone returning back to the prison Morgan would've came to mind but he's never been to the prison.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Even if it was a deleted scene, Carol is still there, she wouldn't just be back for one scene

    ReplyDelete
  27. how have you already seen this?? Is there a way to see the episodes early that I dont know about????

    ReplyDelete
  28. Live Bait is next after this.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I wish!!!!
Really like Lennie James but I doubt it, he is so busy with other projects. Plus as stated above he has never been there so he couldn't be "returning".

    ReplyDelete
  30. Don't know about this show but remember where someone here knew all the Lost episodes beforehand line by line almost. Wish there was someone like that for this show, I love spoilers.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I just hope it is not Carol as a "walker" Now that would be a total shocker!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. UGH, I wish they would warap the Govenor storyline up already, I'm not a fan of that whole plot, he should have died in season 3 with Andrea. I like the walkers being the enemy, not humans as enemys.

    ReplyDelete
  33. People are saying it could be Morgan too, but he was never there in the first place, so it would have to be either Carol or the governor, and I think they'd bring the governor back episode 8, just before the mid-season break, as episode 9 is supposed to be very devastating, and cliffhangers and all... I don't know, it's just my theory

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think it's more of just a promotional thing, not an actual scene. There was also another "prey for the dead" thing that was a close up of an empty grave, and it was filmed specifically to be only a promo, so this could be, too. Symbolic, and all that. But, Carol IS in the clothes she left in, so maybe this is after she comes back.

    ReplyDelete
  35. From the preview, it sounds like Hershel survives this episode, but he's lying on the floor outside his cell, with Maggie nearby. As for someone coming back to the prison, I can't think of anyone except Carol or the governor. There was the governor's assistant, I think his name was maybe Cesar? The governor and gang were only there for the raid, though. I'm really curious to find out who it is.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Wow, that would suck for him though. "Hey Daryl, you know that bond that we're supposed to have? Yeah, not there, I'm out. See ya".

    ReplyDelete
  37. I agree, I think it's the Governor.

    ReplyDelete
  38. She did save Hershel. but she killed two others and didn't trust anyone enough to tell them what she did. She was deceitful and treacherous. I think Maggie is the one that's okay with it, personally.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I think he'll be saddened as well by her not trusting him enough to tell him what she did...and I think the reason she didn't was b/c she knew he wouldn't approve and by her going ahead with it despite that tells me she doesn't care about that very much. I think he'll be sad about her being gone too but I don't think he'll go after her and honestly, she's not some weak person that needs saving either. She has a car, she's not far away, if she wants to come back, if she thinks she has a leg to stand on, she will. If she doesn't, that speaks volumes to me.

  40. thats not hershal thats just some random body

    ReplyDelete
  41. Don't think you're right to put Carol down if she doesn't race back to the prison. Rick made a point of making her feel like crap by saying most would hate her and Tyreese would try to kill her. Know she loves Daryl but season 4 Doesn't love her. Maybe she just knew he doesn't care enough about her to help her. It's a cop out for all to say she should be ok on her own-season 3 made a huge point of no one can make it alone. Rick wanted her dead but didn't have the balls to finish it Think Carol will come back for the girls if she gets with a decent group and has a home to offer. If Daryl doesn't at least show some concern-hes not the daryl I've enjoyed.

  42. think its a deleted scene-the sick wouldn't have recovered so fast

    ReplyDelete
  43. how would that work after she was exiled and a lot don't want her to come back. plus the gov never met carol

    ReplyDelete
  44. she did a wrong, desperate act to try to stop the virus. shes not the only one whos made a mistake. she not cold blooded or deceitful.she told rick straight out when he asked. spoilers say Maggie sides with rick and daryl and gang doesn't get back til the end of the episode

    ReplyDelete
  45. if you check out spoil the dead-it has a lot of info about upcoming events

    ReplyDelete
  46. We don't know who wants her back. Rick's the only one at this point and time that knows the whole story. For all we know when he tells the group he may meet a bunch of angry faces for making the decision to banish her. Also we must remember yes The Governor has never met Carol but Carol's never met The Governor either. It's possible she'll run into him, explain where she came from, and he'll use that explanation to his advantage. What better way to start a war with the prison than to deliver Carol on their doorstep with a knife in her back or to hold her hostage to lure Rick and Michonne into a trap. We must remember who we're talking about here. The Governor was ready to execute Maggie and Glenn for nothing and that was before he officially snapped. Even if many in the group agrees with Rick's decision to banish Carol it doesn't mean they don't care about her. I'm sure if they saw her in some sort of danger they'd step up to save her.

  47. Well I have seen the spoilers for tonight's episode and I know who it is that comes back tonight now.

    ReplyDelete
  48. You can go back as far as the CDC Episode when they are trying to get out, if it weren't for Carol and her handy dandy grenade, they would all be dead and saving Hershal would make her popular with the Greene Girls and Glen...I think Rick didn't completely think this through, I can't wait, and I also love Carol, but if she goes, I won't quit the show, if any of them die, I might be pissed but It the ZA so anyone can die

    ReplyDelete
  49. just to die at the hands of so called allies makes it so much worse

    ReplyDelete
  50. spoil the dead says maggies told and agrees with the banishment. daryl and gang doesn't get back til the end and his reaction not seen-so they say

    ReplyDelete
  51. Carol doesn't appear in this episode at all...

    ReplyDelete
  52. True... Carol killed Karen and David and Rick may have just Killed her, by turning her out on her own... not as if Rick's hands are that clean either!
