  1. The more I watch this episode, the less I like it. Cara is a hypocritical witch to John, Stephen is sanctimonious as usual, and John is an idiot as a leader. The good news is that I like so few of the scenes that it was relatively easy to pick one. Normally I would go for the action of the jaunt fight but this time I went for the only sweet, supportive scene. I choose the ending scene because Astrid is there for Stephen and neither one of them is fighting just to bring more drama on the show.

In other news, Bradley has agreed to do the Tomorrow People best scene polls from now on because I am too busy. He writes the reviews for the show, so I'm sure you already know him. Enjoy the season!

  2. Definitely Cara sticking it to Kurt. That was very intense, imo. I loved every minute of it. I don't like that Stephen revealed himself to Astrid so quickly, i like her, and now she's on the radar, and i feel she'll be killed in the crossover. Not anytime soon, but still, i felt it was too quick.

  3. I liked the scene where Astrid was trying on dresses, it was too cute

  4. Yup they're all idiots, for the next level of human evolution they make some dumb decisions and walk into trap after the trap why the heck is Stephen still at ULTRA it's the dumbest thing ever

  5. I picked the ending scene because I was extremely irritated by how Astrid's initial reaction. I feel like this is how she should have reacted in the first place. Being upset and not angry that Stephen keeps lying to her, reminding him that she is his best friend and that she is there for him.
I was worried that the show will paint Astrid as an shady human to reinforce the sentiment that humans can't be trusted, so I'm glad they didn't go that way.

  6. It's frustrating the choices they are making, but the unneeded conflict the writers keep adding between characters just to amp the melodrama is even more so. They have plenty to play with in the situation. They don't need to make every scene about someone questioning John or people sniping at each other. It's tiring already.

  7. I was good with the quick reveal if only beause they were the only two people not arguing the entire episode. I do agree that it makes her more of a target. Even more, when Cara and John find out he told a human, the fighting will increase.

  8. Ah, the Pretty Woman montage. I thought that was an interesting aside but cute.

  9. Hmm, I never thought of the possibility that Astrid could go evil. I am very glad they didn't go that road as well. That would have been the final straw.

  10. I continue to be incredibly conformist and unoriginal, because I once again picked the option I then learned is winning the poll: Cara going apeshit on Kurt. I wasn't expecting it at all, for her to have such a scary, brutal side. Then again, thinking back to the Pilot scenes where she tells Stephen that they (TTP) are his family and the humans are not, it's appears she draws clear lines. And with Kurt betraying them to those on the other side of the line, no wonder she was infuriated.

I also liked the John/Cara "Fight Club" style brawl, the whole club sequence with TTP escaping, and the sweet ending with Stephen and Astrid. Stephen and Cara talking in Stephen's bedroom was my least favorite scene, it was really transparent that everything about that scene was just pushing the inevitable triangle forward.

  11. While I liked this episode a lot more than you did, I agree that the whole scenario has quite a few holes in its logic. For one, didn't John and Cara once mention teleporting to the Four Seasons hotel to spend some time together? If they can do that, why can't all TTP go out once in a while as long as they're careful, and why is Cara complaining about them not being a normal couple who can have fun together?

In addition, John's poor leadership skills make no sense, like you said. They wouldn't have put him in charge in the first place if he didn't have the ability to get people to follow him and to find solutions for dilemmas like everyone wanting to go out vs. the danger it poses. If there was some kind of new situation that put greater strain on John as the leader, it would make more sense for him to lose control, but I don't see how this kind of problem wouldn't have come up many times before. They keep referring to Stephen's arrival on the scene as what triggered the change, but I don't see the logic there. At most, one can say his presence creates tension in John and Cara's relationship *eyeroll*, but that doesn't have anything to do with the larger group dynamic.

I have to ask, why do you find Cara hypocritical? Is it because she's angry at John for not having told her his secret, but she hasn't told him about her own past yet, as mentioned in the poll option?

  12. It most definitely will. John and Cara will NOT be happy about that. I just hope Astrid doesn't slip up and opens her mouth about it.

  13. My guess is that Cara will read her mind at some point and all hell will breaks loose.

  14. Actually, Cara did tell John about her past if she didn't he wouldn't of known she was raped.

  15. Oh, he knows? I must've missed, or forgotten, the moment between them that indicates so. In that case, I definitely don't see what's hypocritical about Cara's behavior.

  16. All the party/ post party scenes! I still don't care for Ashley at all, I wish they would write her out, I don't think it adds any interesting point to the show. I think it would be more interesting, for example, have his brother be the one curious about his alt life. Ashley is just meh.
