Ooh, I will be watching (and now I need to read the books)!
ReplyDeleteYay! I was hoping FX would pick this up. Definitely going to watch. They should also pick up Tyrant...
ReplyDeleteOoo nice, FX has some interesting shows coming up.
ReplyDeleteI'm very excited about this.. Everything about this show sound very promising. Guillermo del Toro and Carlton Cuse plus a great cast and an interesting story sounds like another brilliant FX show...
ReplyDeleteCool! Miss seeing Mia Maestro on TV and Kevin Durand was such a great evil doer on LOST and Carlton Cuse has done such a nice job with Bates Motel along with the fact that Guillermo del Toro is also such a good storyteller, I don't think I can say no to this!
ReplyDeleteMore vampires?
ReplyDeleteHell Yeah!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is not Twilight, or True Blood.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely gonna watch. Was wondering when FX would finally make this thing official. Hasn't in been in development for 2 or 3 years now?
ReplyDeleteThe concept was developed for tv and movies a couple of years ago. But the project was announced as a tv-series was announced last year, and picked up to development at FX in september.
ReplyDeleteKinda fun that it was public knowledge that the show was picked up months ago. Since some production companys around the show in Toronto already had the show listed to film from september this year to may next year.
Tyrant will be picked up by the looks of it. The pilot is in post-production right now before getting shown to FX and the people needed. David Fury (24, Lost, Angel) is also a producer on the show.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the books to really know, but I would imagine given this coming from del Toro that it might be visually different than a lot of the other vampire series out there.
ReplyDeleteCould be something, keeping my eye on this. :)
ReplyDeleteYes! I read all three of the books and have been keeping my eyes on the updates for the show for a while. I enjoyed the books and am looking forward to the series!
ReplyDeleteThese are not your average vampires, anyone who has read the books will agree with me.
