I so desperately just want it to be Lisbon or something - i want something totally out of left field, something that turns the Mentalist fandom into a hurricane of angst and outrage. :D
I'll be pissed if there's no final surprise. The problem with Bertram being RJ is not that it's too obvious but that it brings up a few questions. 1) Why did he need Smith to get CBI creds for a follower, presumably he was high enough in CBI at that point to do it himself and hide the fact. 2) If RJ exploded a bomb at Jane's why would he do it in such a fashion that would leave him as one of the 2 obvious possibilities?
That said, I don't buy Partridge. Just don't. To me, McAllister makes the most sense at the moment.
I think it's McAllister not Bertram. Bertram is so obvious, they can't so all that hunt from start this season to end RED JOHN being Bertram. McAllister make senses, because he'll need the FBI credentials to get inside the CBI.
After last episode Bertram seems way too obvious choice. I mean, sure, he's a killer, a member, maybe even a leader of this organization, but I don't think he's Red John. I know Cho said the other three are dead, but I still think it can be Sheriff McAllister, my favorite pick from the start. Not only the actor is just amazing when it comes to playing the bad guys, there's a glimpse of a person looking just like him (height and posture) in the promo. So maybe it's still possible. If RJ was responsible for that explosion and has so many resources he could easily fake his death there.
I know you'll scoff at this but it will soon be well known that Brett Partridge is RJ, and Jane has been playing a long-con since earlyish-middle season 5 to destroy Red John's friends, before he killed Red John himself.
i dont think they said that red john personally killed the follower. an after he exploded the bomb he was intent on killing jane anyway so no one wud know.and we know red john is a member of the society but they didnt say that he was the highest ranked.
McAllister doesn't make much sense either. He's not middle-aged. He doesn't have short, straight hair. He had no reason to be at the red barn in 1988. He couldn't be "some Kid" during the red barn stuff as he was already well over being an adult back then. That and much much more. Both Bertram and McAllister are horrible choices. Heller really screwed the pooch with this one. It should have been Haffner.
No I want it ro make sense not left field crazy. It's not a soap opera or abc drama. I am confident it is B no twist. Writers don't have to twist because of the red herrs they used.
They didn't show his head because he's supposedly a week old corpse or more. It's not Partridge. Look at the silhouette in the promo when RJ says "The game's over and I've won".
A lot of what you said is not canon AND all 7 were under suspicion for being at Ellison. Haffner is leasr likely RJ choice.Jane did not dislike Haffner personally like Martins said. Bertram's Blake quote, man of many things, his easy kill with a bottle. He is RJ. RJ would never reveal phobia and not cover up unlike Haffner. He also was out of his league with bantering Jane.
If they did, they'd have to pay Plotnick a full appearance fee for a few seconds shot with no lines. The budget is better spent on the Ecuador>FBI reboot.
omg u guys i just watched the episode and OMG!!! i have said since we saw Partridge 'die' that he wasn't really dead and EVERYONE said i was crazy...but we never saw his dead body and then today we never saw the face of the body Cho went and saw because he only took the tarp off the shoulder. I've had this nagging feeling it was him from the start and in this promo, that voice is NOT Bertram and it sounds exactly like Partridge.
sorry but after all my friends telling me i was crazy i feel way vindicated. PARTRIDGE LIVES!!!!
Seems like it's McAllister. I thought it would be Haffner or Smith. I poured over the clues for weeks, rewatched all the RJ-related episodes, even episodes that only touched on it. McAllister didn't make that much sense, except that he would smell like "pine and earth" as Rosalind Harker described. I guess it's a good thing I'm no detective.
I've have this feeling that McAllister may actually be working together with Patrick. He's helping him. It's not what you think, and obviously you can't deduce RJ identity from a promo.
Listen, the show is really jumping the shark if the two most anal and thorough detectives on the show...Lisbon and Cho, never checked to make sure he was dead. The writers would ruin the show. Not only that but the cops first on the scene said he was DOA, the ME then has to check him out, Jane told Lisbon in the hospital he was dead, Plotnick the actor said he was dead. It would be absurd for a show to go there.
Berkeley's stunt double, who revealed on twitter that he will double X.B. some of the next episodes.;) (I'm watching the leaked episode right now but i won't spoil)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
I still thinks it Partridge... Bertram i sooo the obvious, not surprising choice :S
ReplyDeletePartridge is dead !!
ReplyDeleteI so desperately just want it to be Lisbon or something - i want something totally out of left field, something that turns the Mentalist fandom into a hurricane of angst and outrage. :D
ReplyDeleteThey didn't show his face... Cho didn't try to move the plastic out off his head...
ReplyDeleteIf it's really Bertram i'm gonna be pissed off...

I still feel a big twist coming...
ReplyDeleteI think it's McAllister not Bertram.

Hehe, I know downvoters, I am eviilllll. :P

ReplyDeleteDid you not watch last night? Partridge is dead. Cho sees his corpse.

They didn't show his head though ;-)

ReplyDeleteI will be pissed if it is not B. The clues, every bit of action by him and it follows the spoilers. It is not Brett or another suspect.
ReplyDeleteXander Berkeley has it in him! First playing the head of an assassins black-ops government group and now being the head of a network of dirty cops.
ReplyDeleteA lot of what you said is not canon AND all 7 were under suspicion for being at Ellison. Haffner is leasr likely RJ choice.Jane did not dislike Haffner personally like Martins said. ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm saying!
ReplyDeleteGood catch.
ReplyDeleteIt seems like it's McAllister for some reason.
ReplyDeleteAnd same hairline just before he jumps through the glass!
ReplyDeleteIf they did, they'd have to pay Plotnick a full appearance fee for a few seconds shot with no lines. The budget is better spent on the Ecuador>FBI reboot.
ReplyDeleteYes, that's right, but I think he's Berkeley's stuntman, actually. :)
ReplyDeleteIs it worth mentioning that we all get veins on the surface of our skin when we are hot/under pressure/flustered?
ReplyDeleteA big twist like its not really red john lmao Like last time they promised us red john would be revealed
ReplyDeleteSure, but we all have different ramifications and curves in our veins, and this two are exactly the same.
