I was glad the authors showed us what happened right after the explosion. As the police approaches, Lisbon manages to get into the burning house, reduced to ashes, looking for his partner, but she also finds some body parts - a foot! We also learn that Smith manages to escape, while Bertram seems to be the healthy one among the suspects.
I liked the hospital scene. Lisbon was so concerned about Jane and her "welcome back" was soft and lovely. You can see in her eyes, she was really relief Jane was ok! Also, I've noticed Cho approaching Lisbon and asks if she's ok, as if he knows how much Jane means to her. Very sweet scene. Too bad, a wild Gale Bertram appears, grabs a scalpet and desperately looks for Jane to kill him! Thanks God he fails in his attempt, stopped by a worried Lisbon coming near Jane's bed. Anway, Bertram wants Lisbon to stay away from Jane, but she refuses, even if that means desobey his order. "I just want to stay here with him." Lisbon, your feelings are showing.
Funny scene the one with Rigsby, Van Pelt and Cho. Rigsby asks a reasonable question: now that they know Bertram may possible be Red John, is it right to kill their boss? Cho and Van Pelt answer with cold blood and without hesitation, like "why not"? Rigsby is always the funny guy of the situation.
Finally we got some answers from season 2, as promised earlier this season. What is the Tiger Tiger organization? During Smith's interrogation, Jane and Lisbon find out Red John ordered Bosco and his team to be killed by Rebecca, a minion and Bosco's secretary. Also, when Cho checks Brett Partridge's body to see if he has the tattoo, he discovers that part of the skin from his left shoulder has been removed. So Partridge was part of the Tiger Tiger, and those words he said to Lisbon in episode 6.01 before dying, were his request of help. In my opinion, even tho we haven't seen none of the suspects's body, I'm expecting more plot twist in the next episode. I won't be surprised if Haffner or McAllister come back from death and chase Jane. I'm still not sure if Partridge is really dead, can you believe it? Yes, we saw his dead body, but we didn't see his head...
Just like in episode 4.23, Jane leaves the building but he's stopped by Lisbon at the elevator. She just can't believe he's quitting, but he states: "I'm not quitting. I'm letting go." He is right. At the moment, there's nothing CBI can do. FBI surely has more power.
The ending scene is full of meaning. Jane goes in a church, maybe he's a little esitant, but in the end he kneels down. Maybe he's also praying. Ironic how when hope dies, faith comes.
As a christian, I found that whole scene very deep. It's like Jane lost his home, his Heaven (CBI) because the Devil (Red John) took it. Jane is the mankind: when the pure evil seems to bring you down, there's nothing left to do but turn on God. Jane, the most non-religious man ever, goes in a church... he never did that before. But could God listen to his prayers?
Here's my questions: is Bertram Red John? What did happen to the other suspects? Next week we'll find the truth about Red John.
