Sherlock Season 3 will Premiere on 1st Jan 2014. It was revealed by a marketing stunt in London earlier.

    Agree, I was hoping for a release when I have still free time to enjoy it, too. Plus, with all the talk about "Christmas program" the last days, it is a little bit disappointing.

    I think it was actually marketed as 'Festive Programming', which is a bit different. I would certainly consider the the festive season to extend to the New Year.

    Honestly, that doesn't really matter to me. In fact, I wouldn't mind if there were a longer wait between the episodes, because the longer the wait between them, the shorter the wait to season 4. And it would give us more time to discuss one episode.
