A weekly feature in which we're trying to find most compelling, best acted, written, directed and just generally great scenes that we've seen recently.
AMERICAN HORROR STORY: COVEN, "The Dead", November 4, 2013, Actors: Kathy Bates, Gabourey Sidibe, The Scenes: Madame LaLaurie realises Queenie has betrayed her & Madame LaLaurie and Queenie go for fast food
Christopher Reilly: Madame LaLaurie and Queenie go for fast food. Even though Madame LaLaurie is a racist monster, I was really digging their unlikely friendship and this fun scene of them chowing down on burgers made it even more of a gut punch when Queenie decided to turn her over to Marie Laveau. DarkUFO: Madame LaLaurie realises Queenie has betrayed her.
ARROW, "State v. Queen", November 20, 2013, Actors: John Barrowman, Susanna Thompson, Stephen Amell, Emily Bett Rickards, The Scenes: Malcolm is alive and Thea is his daughter & Oliver saves Felicity & Felicity apologizes to Oliver
Bradley Adams: I may have used some expletives when this happened. How can this be possible? It was an awesome, jaw-dropping moment. It seems weird that Thea is Malcolm's daughter but it is a fantastic revelation.
Babar Suhail: Malcolm reveals to Moira that he is alive and knows he is Thea's biological father. That scene was totally unexpected for me and I didn't see it coming. When they revealed that John Barrowman would return for season 2, I was sure that it would be in flashbacks, and I didn't even think that Malcolm would be alive, expecially when they said a few times in the show that he is dead. I am excited to see the repercussions of him being alive and being Thea's father.
Jamie Coudeville: I loved this moment, he didn't kill for no reason this time. He killed the Count to save Felicity. I love that he didn't even have to think about it.
Virginia Fontana: Ollie tells Felicity it wasn't even a choice between saving her and avoiding killing again. Touching, powerful, and romantic.
BOARDWALK EMPIRE, "Havre de Grace", November 17, 2013, Actors: Ron Livingston, Gretchen Mol
The Scene: Gillian confesses to Roger's death
Darth Locke: Gillian confesses to Roger's death and learns that she has been set up by Roy Philips.
CASTLE, "Disciple", November 18, 2013, Actors: Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion
The Scene: "We'll meet again"
Diana Mack: The creepy song playing in the background, "We'll meet again" while Castle and Beckett look terrified at listening to the lyrics. Someone said the song is referring to Beckett's mom, others said to 3XK, who knows?
CRIMINAL MINDS, "Strange Fruit", November 20, 2013, Actor: Joe Mantegna
The Scene: Rossi walks towards his locker at the end
Jimmy Ryan: The ending scene where Rossi walks towards his locker, remembering what he said to the suspect about how he and some friends locked a black kid in a locker, and Rossi was forced to urinate on him.
DOCTOR WHO, "The Day of The Doctor", November 23, 2013, Actors: Matt Smith, David Tennant, John Hurt and more, The Scenes: 13 Doctors save Gallifrey & Ten and Eleven decide to share the moment with the War Doctor
Justyna Kubica: I'm still amazed by just how much I loved this episode. It was the highlight of my week, especially airing after a really awful day and I can't express how excited, happy I was to see it live on TV in my country. There were countless amazing moments that I could spend the entire day describing, so choosing just one scene from this 75-minutes special was a such a hard thing to do. In the end, I went with my first choice, the part where 13 (!!!) Doctors appear from his past and future timeline and together they manage to save his beloved home planet, Gallifrey. The idea of having a home again must mean everything to the Doctor. After all, he lived for a hundreds of years thinking he killed billions of people (2.4 billion little children), his own family and friends. And even though he did it to save the entire universe that's just not... not enough for a good man like him. A good man who "couldn't just stand there and watch children cry". The pain, heartache that poisoned the Doctor's life for so long can finally start fading away. But the sad fact, that 9 and 10 never really got to learn the truth and had to live on, still remains heartbreaking. For a second we got to see a hope on Ten's face, not the sadness that was always there. But I would give so much to see Nine next to him, to see this regeneration witness this amazing change. And sadly we never did... But, the fact that the Doctor saved his home, and not just one of him, but all his past and even his future self, that was absolutely breathtaking! What a powerful, memorable image! I know there are probably many problems (logic or plot issues) with the idea of saving Gallifrey, but remembering all the moments when Doctor was talking about destroying his home and his loved ones, I can't say I mind this change. "Gallifrey falls no more!". And I couldn't have it any other way. Kudos to all the cast & crew for their incredible work!
Sandi Wich: The whole episode really, but as I have to choose just one scene I'm going to go with 10 and 11 deciding to share the moment with the War Doctor only for Clara to convince them into finding another way. The pacing in that whole scene round the Moment (a button that looked like a rose, which was inspired, lol) was spot on and very intense. It also showed that even though the Doctor is a very clever man, the role of his companion is one that he can't do without.
GREY'S ANATOMY, "Somebody That I Used to Know", November 21, 2013, Actors: Sara Ramirez, Jessica Capshaw, The Scene: Arizona tells Callie that she can't keep punishing her
Klutzy Girl: Arizona tells Callie that she can't keep punishing her, that she's trying, and then asks for a hug. I'm so glad they're working on their marriage and can't wait to see what the future has in store for them.
HOMELAND, "A Red Wheelbarrow", November 17, 2013, Actors: Rupert Friend, Claire Danes
The Scene: Quinn has to shoot Carrie to stop her from spoiling the mission (picked by Sharon Seymour)
NCIS: LOS ANGELES, "Recovery", November 19, 2013, Actors: Eric Christian Olsen, Daniela Ruah
The Scene: Deeks and Kensi have dinner together (picked by Bradley Adams)
ONCE UPON A TIME, "Think Lovely Thoughts", November 17, 2013, Actors: Jennifer Morrison, Lana Parrilla, Robbie Kay and more, The Scenes: Regina and Emma create an eclipse & The reveal that Peter Pan is Rumplestiltskin’s father
Jamie Coudeville: I blame Tumblr for this, but I love their scenes together. I wish we'd seen more of the magic lessons, because there is no way Emma could do that after just one lesson. I love it when the women on this show get to be all badass.
Christopher Reilly: The reveal that Peter Pan is in fact Rumplestiltskin’s father. As I said in my write-up this week, it made perfect narrative sense given the show’s focus on family and the guest actors who played out the moment of Malcolm’s betrayal were wonderful.
PARKS AND RECREATION, "The Cones of Dunshire", November 21, 2013, Actors: Amy Poehler, Jon Glaser, The Scene: Councilman Jamm and Leslie sing a karaoke duet
Christopher Reilly: Jamm annoys me more often than he amuses me and I won’t be that sad if this was his swan song, but him and Leslie singing “Summer Nights” from “Grease” and him insisting on singing the Sandy verses was pretty funny.
PERSON OF INTEREST, "The Crossing", November 19, 2013, Actors: Jim Caviezel, Taraji P. Henson, Kevin Chapman and more, The Scenes: Fusco's "last" phone call & Carter's death & Carter and Reese's discussion in the morgue
Justyna Kubica: Most of the people would say that the best scene in the episode was Carter's death and I can't say that I disagree. But since it's already mentioned by the other team members I decided to go with the other powerful moment in the episode, Fusco's phone call. For last couple of weeks I was quite certain it was gonna be Fusco who's gonna die in the episode and I was already preparing myself for it, so when the HR put him on the phone with his son to witness his last minute I was abolutely heartbroken. To get brutally beaten and tortured is one thing but to hear your only child dying is just the worst. Fusco completely breaking down at this moment was brilliantly portrayed by Kevin Chapman, who turned out to be the star of the episode for me. And I can't tell you how relieved I was to hear Shaw on the other side of the phone. I was so glad to learn that she saved Lionel's son, even if it meant she couldn't get there in time to help him. And if Fusco really did die there, I would still be okay with her choice, it was the best one she could make in these circumstances. It may just be my favorite Shaw moment ever. I'm happy to see her character's development in a great direction. I'm also glad we got to keep Fusco. I'm gonna miss Carter very much, but at least she went down as a hero, with her friend by her side and didn't leave her child on her own. It was such a breathtaking episode!
Bradley Adams: Carter is killed. There are at least 6 other scenes I could have quite easily picked, but this one clearly stands out above all the rest. Re-watching that last scene (from the time Carter walks into the room with Reese) is incredibly sad. That "You didn't give us a name" bit is almost more sad than the actual death once you've seen the ending. Going back to the first time the two met as virtually her last moment alive, after what Reese had said about her saving him (earlier in the episode) was fantastic. Possibly the best thing they could have done as a send-off to Carter. I haven't seen a better scene on any show for quite a while.
Diana Mack: Carter got shot and dies in Reese's arms. Finch just watches them and stays breathless. I didn't see that coming! Also picked by DarkUFO, Sharon Seymour and Jimmy Ryan.
Darth Locke: John professes his love for Joss while held up in the morgue and they kiss.
Virginia Fontana: Carter and Reese's discussion in the morgue. It was so heartfelt and clearly a product of their thinking that they both might be about to die. I loved the kiss and thought it was a natural result of this intimate talk, and something they each probably had always thought about doing but never expected to. I was sitting there hoping for it to happen but didn't think the show would take it there. The depth that this scene revealed in the Carter/Reese relationship made her demise all the more tragic, as seen through Reese's reaction at the end of the episode.
REVENGE, "Secrecy", November 17, 2013, Actors: Emily VanCamp, Nick Wechsler
The Scene: Jack tells Emily he could never hate her
Virginia Fontana: I love the complicated and deep relationship they share.
REVOLUTION, "Everyone Says I Love You", November 20, 2013, Actors: Zack Orth, Aiden Sussman, Billy Burke and more, The Scenes: Miles leaves for the army & A nanobot reveals itself to Aaron & The nanites refuse to save Cynthia
Jamie Coudeville: I love it when this show gives us flashbacks. The goodbye scene with Rachel broke my heart. I still think he's Charlie's father.
Klutzy Girl: A nanobot reveals itself to Aaron. That was just a really creepy moment.
Darth Locke: Aaron pleads for the nanites in form of a boy from Aaron's past to help revive Cynthia and they refuse, accepting his earlier request.
SCANDAL, "Vermont is for Lovers, Too", November 21, 2013, Actors: Kerry Washington, Tony Goldwyn, Jeff Perry and more, The Scenes: Fitz and Olivia talk about "their" house & Olivia's mother stops her on the street & Cyrus sees the pics of James and Sallie's husband
Diana Mack: Fitz and Olivia discuss, then he says he made built that house where they are just for him and her, when he thought "We had a chance". Then Olivia kisses him and the two share a moment. Beautiful scene, as always those two are so passionate!
Jimmy Ryan: Olivia's mother stops her on the street.
Spartigus15: Cyrus watching the email with the pics of his husband gettin it in with Sallie's husband. Karma is a b** Cyrus deserves to feel horrible for pimpin out his own husband.
SLEEPY HOLLOW, "Necromancer", November 18, 2013, Actors: Tom Mison, Jeremy Owens
The Scene: Ichabod and Headless Abraham sword fight
A Dahne: I am a sucker for a good sword fight and these guys had two. I ended up picking the second because it contains the big reveal but also because they weren't dueling amidst a clandestine mission.
SUPERNATURAL, "Bad Boys", November 19, 2013, Actors: Dylan Everett, Blake Gibbons, Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki, The Scenes: Teenage Dean leaves the boys' home for Sammy & Sam thanks Dean for always being there for him
Justyna Kubica: I know that there are different opinions about this episode. I'm with the ones who really enjoyed it. It reminded me of the old, simpler times, when there were no angels involved and most of the cases were about ghosts, demons and monsters like that. And I remembered how much I miss season 1 and 2 and everything before Winchesters became so connected to the big picture. I don't mind how things are now, for most of the time, but sometimes I wish we could go back. And in a way, that's just what happened this week. And I loved it. My favorite scene in the episode is probably the entire ending, with Dean leaving the boys' home both times. But it's the memory that made me very emotional and unexpectedly brought me to tears. The mix of the absolutely amazing work by Dylan Everett who portrayed Young Dean and one of my favorites themes of the show was one of the best moments I've seen on TV this week. Which means something, especially considering how many great episodes I got to watch in the past seven days. I know that co-dependency between the brothers is not such a good thing in the end, but sometimes it's just beautiful to see the things these two do for each other. Like here, Teenage Dean had a chance to live a normal life, even if not for long, but at least he could go to school dance with the girl he cared about and spend a few more days without a constant fight for his life. But he gave it all up. For Sammy. Him smiling and crying at the same time seeing his little brother for the first time since two months were just so heartbreaking and heartwarming, all at once. And again, what a fantastic work by Dylan Everett. He really was a young version of Jensen there and he was so much better than I could ever expect.
Klutzy Girl: Sam thanks Dean for always being there for him. That was just really sweet.
THE BIG BANG THEORY, "The Thanksgiving Decoupling", November 21, 2013, Actors: Jim Parsons, Casey Sander and more, The Scene: Drunk Sheldon makes fun of Howard and Bernadette & Drunk Sheldon bonds with Bernadette's dad
Babar Suhail: Drunk Sheldon makes fun on Howard and Bernadette and slaps Amy's ass. Drunk Sheldon was the highlight of the episode for me. The rest of the episode was funny, but nowhere near as funny with the scenes with drunk Sheldon. Him making fun of Howard and Bernadette was hilarious. I was touched that he listened to Amy and apologized to them in his drunk state, even if he wasn't his usual self. And then him slapping Amy's ass and Amy being delighted by it was hilarious again.
Spartigus15: Sheldon drinking and talking football with Bernadette's father was hilarious. It humanized sheldon made him a lil normal for a sec.
A Dahne: This is the funniest Sheldon has been in a long, long time. I loved how he could talk football and relate to Bernadette's dad while Howard could not. I normally don't think of Sheldon as a football guy.
THE WALKING DEAD, "Live Bait", November 17, 2013, Actors: David Morrissey, Meyrick Murphy, The Scenes: The Governor and Meghan in the Walker Pit & The Governor goes to the clinic to get Oxygen
DarkUFO: The Governor and Meghan in the Walker Pit.
Sharon Seymour: The Governor goes to the clinic to get Oxygen
WHITE COLLAR, "Ice Breaker", November 21, 2013, Actors: Diahann Carroll, Willie Garson and more
The Scene: June joins the con as an FBI receptionist
A Dahne: I adore June and have been missing her this season. I love seeing Mozzie and her working togehter and their de-FBI-ing the office made me laugh. Here's hoping she gets extended screen time soon.

My favorite scene this week was Margaret and Barton Scully meeting in the bar in Masters of Sex. So painful for them both and what a great dialog. In fact every single favorite scene on my top ten would be from Masters of Sex.
ReplyDeleteBesides that I also enjoyed the Arrow scenes mentioned above and the Homeland scene with Quinn shooting carrie.
Arrow: The reveal that Malcolm is alive and Thea is his daughter.
ReplyDeleteA major jaw dropping scene. I absolutely never saw it coming and I loved it.
Doctor Who: 13 Doctors save Gallifrey.
Such an epic moment.
Person Of Interest: Fusco's "last" phone call.
Person Of Interest: Carter's death.
Person Of Interest: Carter and Reese's discussion in the morgue.
Everything about this episode was fantastic and emotional. Honestly the best episode from any show this season so far. R.I.P. Carter.
Scandal, Revenge and of Course NCIS LA ! Finally THE Densi moment :)
ReplyDeleteTwo that come to mind for me...
ReplyDeleteOnce Upon A Time: The big Peter Pan twist. I don't think I can ever get over how good I think that was, haha! Completely took me by surprise, and unlike so many ''X is Y'' twists, it all seems to make complete sense to me. Me being a not-that-obsessed viewer, of course. The Peter Pan storyline is really reminding me of LOST season 6 (a smokey monster man, pissed off childish ''immortal'' who won't allow people to leave the island, ''breaking the rules'', a source of magic, manipulations everywhere, etc) but unlike the final season of my favorite show, I think this is all really well thought out and enjoyable to watch. I'm loving the quick character interactions this season. This week's episode is definitely the best I've seen of this show. I've always liked it, but I'm really loving it this year.
Person Of Interest: Fusco says goodbye to his son and everything that follows. Kevin Chapman really deserved that acting nod from TVLine this week! Fusco coming to terms with his son's ''death'', then learning his kid is saved, then realizing (along with us) that he will die himself, then... going all primal and strangling that HR guy to death with this INSANE look in his eyes. This, too, was the best episode of a show I've really loved since it started, but never expected to love THIS much. The actual death was really shocking, but Fusco's storyline was the winner for me this week.
SO MANY.
ReplyDeleteOUAT: Peter Pan is Rumple's father. Took me by surprise!
POI: The whole episode! Fusco's phone call with his son, Shaw saving his son, Fusco breaking free and killing Peterson was amazing! Kevin Chapman was really, really excellent. Carter & Reese's conversation in the morgue was beautiful, their scenes at the station and then Carter's death, heartbreaking! The eerie ring of the pay phone made the scene even more brilliant.
TBBT: Bernadette and Raj going 'whaaaaat' when Amy tells them that Penny is married to Zach. Obviously, Sheldon was great too, with all the football and getting drunk.
Scandal: This show! The final montage with Mama Pope stopping Olivia, Huck waiting for Quinn at her apartment and Cyrus seeing the pictures of James. Damn!
Revenge: I really enjoyed the episode. It was so revenge-y. The game at the co-ed party, with Victoria inviting Emily's 'husband' and then Emily turning the tables on her was just too good to not enjoy.
Castle: Best episode of the season. The final scene was too creepy, with the song. I loved the scene where Espo 'interrogates' Lanie. And also when Castle realizes all this is the handiwork of 3XK.
Homeland: The scene with Carrie in the van, after being shot, asking if the bomber is dead. Claire Danes is just amazing. Quinn shooting Carrie (dint think he would) and Saul going to Caracas to meet Brody (!!!) were good scenes too.
Loved this week's Modern Family, The Middle and Last Man Standing too though. Have to say, missed watching The Blacklist and The Originals, my two new favorites this week.
I'm with you on the better Person of Interest scene was Fusco's phone call, although the death scene saddened me. The morgue scene seemed a little out of place somehow.
ReplyDeleteParks and Rec--Jamm in his Asian jammies singing karaoke was funny. I also am ready to see Jamm go, but his presence has been important to the running plotline of Pawnee peepeeheads being easily swayed.
TBBT: Agree with Sal here. Bernadette, Amy, and Raj in the kitchen. Bernadette saying what with a marshmallow in her mouth was funny.
Bones: Booth takes drunk Brennan home
ReplyDeleteSherlock invites the serial killer into his house - yeah, that was definitely something.
ReplyDeleteAnd I really enjoyed the episode of OUAT in Wonderland (as usually), it's a shame the show has awful ratings. I did not see the twist with Knave not having a heart coming. Even though I probably should considering OUAT's history and Knave's behavior sometimes.
I did not like Wonderland in its first couple episodes, but ever since they have included back story on the Red Queen, I have really enjoyed it. It is a case like its predecessor, OUaT. I like the villains far more than the heroine. Knave is really working for me as well and I'm glad they explained why he wasn't affected by the Black Forest.
ReplyDeleteRevolution - The nanobot revealing himself to Aaron as a childhood friend.
ReplyDeleteHomeland - Quinn shooting Carrie.I wasn't sure Quinn would actually pull the trigger..
POI - How could anyone pick just one scene? Fusco talking to his son, hearing the gun shot then hearing Shaw's voice. And of course the ending,Joss Carter getting killed trying to protect Reese...
13 Doctors save Gallifrey. I mean, c'mon. How awesome was that! Having different Doctor's that have been on the show at different times in the last 50 years, working together! No show could do that, only Doctor Who. And it was fantastic! (EVEN PETER CAPALDI WAS THERE)
ReplyDeleteI also loved Emma and Regina working together in Once Upon A Time. I mean, they made an eclipse together, for the love of their son :') And of course the Peter Pan reveal.
It wasn't as good as i was expecting it to be...
ReplyDeleteOff The List:
ReplyDeleteAlmost Human:
Episode 2 Where Dorian talks to the sexbot before she is destroyed and says he will remember her.
That has stood out the most to me. The show exploring humanity through the androids on the show as much as John.
Other: How about all the car scenes. lol I've loved all of John and Dorian's interactions from them arguing to Dorian saving John's life. The giraffe scene in episode 2 was great too, because it was cool and the kid broke my heart. Also John visiting his partner's kid.
On The List:
Person of Interest: Fusco's call & Carter's death.
Arrow: Malcolm is alive
Once Upon A Time: Emma and Regina working together & The reveal that Peter Pan is Rumple's father.
Sleepy Hollow: Crane fights the Horseman
SPN: Dean and the kid, Young Dean sees Sam in the Impala outside and decides to go with his family, and Sam thanks Dean.
Revolution: The nanobot reveals itself and when it refuses to help Cynthia.
Yeah, I really enjoyed both Almost Human episodes. And the scene where Dorian talks to the sexbot before she is destroyed is definitely something that stood out. I also liked the way John has managed to finally get to that poor kid. With a giraffe. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yeah! That was SO awesome! I love that tease with Peter Capaldi joining all the past Doctors. Seems fair, seeing as he's probably the one who's gonna get to Gallifrey :)
ReplyDeleteIt's already at least in my top 5 favorite shows so far. I had a feeling I'd like it. I don't normally like procedurals much in less it's got something different about it - Person of Interest, The Mentalist, Sherlock, Elementary, Fringe and now this. I like how it explores humanity like Fringe. When the characters are explored well and have great interactions I love that. And of course I like the science fiction side of it all. I tend to lean towards science fiction/supernatural themed shows.
ReplyDeleteDoctor Who All the way!!!!
ReplyDeleteThen I guess we think alike :) I love the way this show feels like Fringe in many aspects, but still is it's own show. I really look forward to seeing more of the Almost Human world!
ReplyDeleteMe too. :)
ReplyDeletePOI: Fusco's call & Carter's death. (Both were powerful scenes.)
ReplyDeleteOUaT: Peter Pan is Rumple's dad. (Surprising! Great storytelling and well-acted.)
Other - Haven: Shooting William also hurt Audrey. (Surprising, great storytelling, and has impact on and furthers a lot of future story potential.)
Carter's death was a fantastic scene, but I could have picked every scene - for the second week running. Unbelieveable episode.
ReplyDeleteThe whole episode of Person of Interest. It was epic scene after epic scene.
ReplyDeleteCarter and John in the morgue if i must choose.
Castle´s scene and the ones from P.O.I. for me:)
ReplyDeleteSupernatural...both scenes
ReplyDeleteOh so many
ReplyDeleteArrow: Felicity apologizes to Oliver (bonus moment... When Oliver returns to the courthouse obviously still reeling from having killed the Count)
POI: Fusco's last phone call.
Castle: That last scene...
Dean is awesome with kids. It's part of why I haven't yet forgiven the show for forcing Dean to give up his family.
ReplyDeleteExactly. The ''magic'' explanation works a lot better on this show and, frankly, I think Peter Pan is a much stronger and more interesting villain than the Man In Black was. I just love the way he manipulates all the characters. It always works out the way it should (according to him) and that makes him a real challenging enemy to defeat.
ReplyDeleteVampire Diaries - Katherine tries to commit suicide and Stefan saves her.
ReplyDeleteI liked that Dorian/sexboat scene too! In a way, it sort of reminded me of the ''I'm sorry this happened to you'' scene from The Walking Dead's first episode. That was the scene that got me hooked to that show. Both scenes explored the same theme; the whole ''when does something become/stop being human'' debate that both shows explore. In both scenes, they did such a great job at making you feel sad about the death of something that never really ''lived'' to begin with. Even the score in both scenes sounds very similar!
ReplyDeleteI really hope they don't related the 3xK to Beckett's mom... It will ruin two perfectly fine plot lines.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I went with Fitz for the abs, house and back shots!!
ReplyDeleteHe's definitely a very challenging enemy. And his manipulations, as much as they get me angry (since obviously I'm not rooting for him) are really impressive. And worked so well for most of the time! It'll be a shame to eventually say goodbye to his character at one point!
ReplyDeleteThe thing is I always seem to vote all for the shows I watch so I'm going to choose just one for each.
ReplyDeleteSupernatural- Teenage Dean saying bye. I love the ending of the episode with Sam thanking but there was something rare about the scene I choose and it was beautiful Dean chose Sam.
Arrow- Malcolm. I knew that some-one let Moira off but didn't expected for it be Malcolm. I always thought Thea is a misfit, not saying Oliver not! but there was a different vibe about her. I don't think she will ever be like her dad though she's too sweet for that.
Let the fast food scene from AHS win all the awards, hahahaha! It was hilarious. And props to Kathy Bates for being able to go from crazy racist bitch to easygoing McDonald's eater. Commendable.
ReplyDeleteI personally enjoyed Sheldon this week. It's impressive how he can still make me laugh and still shows different sides of himself (pretty interesting for a guy so full of rules and mannerisms).
This week's episode of OUAT was one of the best for me too. And I didn't see the Peter Pan twist coming, so that was a big, interesting surpise. The closest guess I had was that Peter Pan was Rumple's older brother, but still... I'm really enjoying this season, well except the triangle idea. I hate that.
ReplyDeleteBut you're right, there really are some references to LOST here. Starting from the whole, we're on the mysterious island thing ;) And I like how it all kinda fits right. You know, considering it's magic.
I actually haven't seen Bones yet. Heard it was a fun episode. Have to catch up :)
ReplyDeleteHonorable mentions:
ReplyDeleteArrow - Malcolm is alive - If I could have a 4th pick that would be it! I really didn't see this one coming. I was expecting to see Merlyn in the flashbacks so him actually being alive was a huge news. Not to mention Thea being his daughter. But mostly, how amazing was Susanna Thompson? Her reaction was spot on! Also, yay BARROWMAN! (never getting tired of this)
Agents Of SHIELD - Coulson saving the Asgardian's life. Also everytime he mentioned he knows Thor personally. LOL ;)
Castle - The final moment!
Doctor Who - The entire episode (f.e. All the little moments between Ten and Eleven!)
Once Upon A Time - such a great episode! Can't choose one. But I really loved Bae and Rumple's scenes together and the big reveal.
Person Of Interest - Carter's death & Fusco breaking free
Sleepy Hollow - First ("that's our team") and the last scene
Supernatural - Sam thanks Dean for always being there for him
The Big Bang Theory - Drunk Sheldon was hilarious!
And more
Honorable Mentions:
ReplyDeleteSleepy Hollow - Irving and Jenny take out the Hessians at the power company with a little help from the police
White Collar - Neal says that Peter is a world famous ice skating coach
Elementary - Sherlock invites the serial killer into his house / Watson calls Sherlock on his uncivil behavior
Crazy Ones - Zack tries to teach Simon how to play softball / Gordon piggyback rides Simon to the bench
TBBT - Zack is back and as clueless as ever
Wonderland - Knave realizes Alice is about to become a tree person / Knave doesn't have a heart / Jafar and Daddy
SHIELD - Ward and May kick butt / Coulson consoles the distraught park ranger over the cut down tree
Goldbergs - Murray and his brother sing Sister Christian in the Delorean / Marv gives Murray back the Kofax baseball
By far the worst scene of this week or any this season was malcolm's return on Arrow.
I am looking forward to watching the Person of Interest episode, even though I know what happens. Sounds intense.
Honorable mentions:
ReplyDeleteAHS: Queenie and LaLaurie go for fast food. I don't like LaLaurie, but the bonding moment was nice.
Revolution: Miles and Rachel's goodbye at the airport. Also think Charlie is his daughter.
SPN: Every scene Dean had with the kid was adorable.
Scandal: Olivia's mom shows up to see her.
So many great Scenes this week.
ReplyDeleteHad to go with Person of Interest overall. The episode as a whole was simply awesome and sad!
