Revenge's Daniel Grayson has been imprisoned, repeatedly betrayed, replaced in his mother's heart by a brother he didn't know existed, and now his new wife has been shot — which leaves a mentally exhausted Josh Bowman wondering if enough's enough. "I'm trying to pitch a Daniel death by the end of the season," says Bowman, who plans to express his concerns to the producers. "I love working on the show, but I'm just being honest. My character has flip-flopped the most, and it's been so hard for me to play."

Sometimes I like Daniel, sometimes I hate him, most of the time I'm indifferent. I think he is more interesting when he is being bad and I agree with Josh he has flip-flopped way too much. No great loss if he was to die plus it could cause some real heartache for Victoria (Conrad would get over it)
ReplyDeleteyes,my dream is coming true!!
ReplyDeleteHe's the only character from the beginning that I've wanted to die.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Bowman, make Daniel go dark side instead of trying to make him likeable again.
ReplyDeleteyeah get rid of him..
ReplyDeleteThank god! I like Josh, but I hate Daniel... Ugh!
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love the idea, how would that work in the scheme of things? How would Emily have her in with the Graysons?
ReplyDeleteI'm a little behind, haven't watched the last couple of episodes but the only way I can think of is Charlotte. And basically it would require Emily to be either more behind the scenes or more overtly anti-Graysopn.
ReplyDeletethe new creator said hes trying to avoid *carnage* like last year. I feel he may be too big of a character to kill off. Sounds like Bowman just wants off the show. I still feel they could do things with this character. Yes he is annoying, but I don't know how the creator would feel about this.

ReplyDeleteIt`s true i eman his character ahs gone everywhere i just think the only way for him to go now is become a fully villian once he discover Emily used him and go from there, it can be a really interesting arc if they know how to develop it!... i like Daniel i think he is teh character that gets hurt the most and just doesnt deserve it, lets see what happens!
ReplyDeleteI agree now that would be interesting I feel that his character has,so much potential but the, writers just need to know how to develop his character
ReplyDeleteIt always seems to me like this is exatly the problems ... the writers do not really know how to develope the character, which is why they're kind of playing around, exploring different things that sometimes work and sometimes just don't work at all ... to me, Daniel is still pretty much the same he has been at the start of season 1. Yes, he did make attempts to "grow up" when he moved out, took over his familiy's company and now with the magazine ... but in the end, the writers never seem to finish what they started and he falls back to being that rich, highly insecure, gaulible and emotionally instable (at least I think so) young boy who is struggling to become his own man. He did have potential. But the writers seem to shy away from everything that makes Daniel's character develope.
ReplyDeleteTo me, that'd be one of the perks of this death ... that Emily would have to find a new way to get in with the Greysons. She always tred it through Daniel, one way or another. Him not being there anymore to bring her close to his family and also to defend her in front of his family would make so many things so much trickier for Emily and I'd so love to see that show explore another way for Emily ... I love this season so far, but that would be a good change for the end of the season, imo.
ReplyDelete(Though I would be sorry to see Josh leave ...)
