Quote of the Week - 2nd November 2013

'Quote of the Week' is a new feature in which we at Spoiler TV look for the best quote in TV over the past week. This is the first of what will hopefully be a weekly article, one that will get more nominations as time goes on.

Arrow: 'Crucible'; 30th October; Kevin Alejandro/Emily Bett Rickards
Bradley Adams: Sebastian Blood: "Sooner or later we all go through a crucible. I’m guessing yours was that island. Most believe there are two types of people who go into a crucible: the ones who grow stronger from the experience and survive it, and the ones who die. But there’s a third type: the ones who learn to love the fire, who choose to stay in their crucible because it’s easier to embrace the pain when it’s all you know anymore." This was an inspirational speech. It was a cool thing to listen to, and actually worked quite well for references to Sara. It also gave Blood a good idea of Oliver's differences from before the island to now.

Felicity Smoake: "Do you have any happy stories?" Felicity summed up Oliver's past perfectly here - implying that every story he tells has a bad ending. Having seen some of the flashbacks to the island, I can understand exactly what she means.

Person of Interest: 'Mors Praematura'; 29th October; Michael Emerson/Jim Caviezel, Michael Emerson/Michael Emerson, Amy Acker
Bradley Adams: Harold Finch: "Contrary to the saying, his bite is worse." I love Bear. I loved how Finch used him as a means of getting Sloan to tell him what he is doing.

Darth Locke: Harold Finch: "I suppose it's too much to hope she tased herself." John Reese: "Knowing Shaw, it's possible. But if I had to guess, I'd say she's in trouble."

Root: "You're going against The Machine's wishes by keeping me here, Harold. You're only gonna make her angry. Can you imagine what a being that powerful will do when she's angry?" Harold Finch: "How can you be so certain, Miss Groves, that The Machine does not wish you to be precisely where you are?"

Revolution: 'Dead Man Walking'; 30th October; Zak Orth/Giancarlo Esposito
Darth Locke: Aaron Pittman: "Thank you for the truly horrific evening."

Tom Neville: "I have lost damn near everything in this world, but you are my son, you are all that’s left. So whatever it takes, you are gonna come back from this."

The Blacklist: 'Gina Zanetakos'; 28th October; Ryan Eggold/James Spader
Darth Locke: Tom Keen: "Are you telling me, like what? You think I murdered a KGB defector. Like I'm Bond. Tom Bond and just between Social Studies and recess I go around assassinating people."

Raymond Reddington: "I can only lead you to the truth. I can't make you believe it."

The Tomorrow People: 'Kill or Be Killed'; 30th October; Mark Pellegrino
Bradley Adams: Jedikiah Price: "My name is Dr. Jedikiah Price, would you mind putting down the knife?" Pellegrino does a fantastic job of making this serious scene sound funny. I loved how calm he sounded when saying this - he made it sound like this is something he says everyday. Which, in actual fact, wouldn't surprise me.
