  1. When Margaux turned around and we saw Lydia.. I didn't see that one coming!

  2. That was a big surprise!!!

  3. Definitely, Lydia's return. It was unexpected and a welcome surprise.

  4. The pregnant scene definitely, a job well done Ems

  5. The pregnant scene. I love to see Daniel completely manipulated by Emily, it makes me cackle in glee like a Batman villain in front of my screen.

  6. There were a lot of great scenes but I voted for Emily's husband showing up. That was just classic Revenge, I loved it.

  7. I loved that scene. I thought Emily was actually in trouble but when Benny walked in I knew that she got the upper hand again.

  8. Oh, so much has changed. There was a time when she didn't want Daniel to get involved and now he's just another Grayson to her.

  9. Definitely a frontrunner. Makes you wonder though if she is really preggers, or if that is someone's elses baby or if she is gonna pretend to have a miscarriage to guilt Daniel even further into staying with her. Oh, the possibilities!

  10. I love that she is back. I knew it the moment Conrad mentioned her name and I can't wait for her to stir the pot.

  11. Yes, same here, I also thought she was in trouble.

  12. Margaux certainly knows how to get what she wants, Lydia being back is gonna be so good!

  13. True. I rooted for them back in Season 1 . And at some point she was having feelings for him. Remember when even Takeda warned her that her feelings were getting in the way?

  14. I don't think it will come down to that. How long until the wedding? Probably, according to her plan, she will die before she has to come up with a baby or a belly.

  15. Right! I always forget about mid-season flashforwards, even though I watched the promo for 3.09 only a few hours ago.

  16. Yeah, it seems like such a long a time ago. Now it seems the tides have turned because Daniel's (lack of) feelings for Emily seem to get in the way this time around.

  17. I am addicted to that promo!

  18. What's interesting to me is that they included a scene earlier in the season of Daniel rejecting Margaux when she offered herself to him (quite literally) only to have him cheat on Emily with Sarah a few episodes later. It's almost as if Daniel was motivated to cheat on Emily because he was truly unhappy with her and had feelings for Sarah and not for the sake of cheating. Wonder if that will have any implications for Emily's plan. Maybe I'm over thinking it, I just thought it was interesting the contrast between Daniel in both situations in such a short span of time.

  19. Interesting indeed, but I think when Margaux made a move on Daniel, he was still in a somewhat good place with Emily. After that, he began starting to see the cracks in their relationship.

  20. I kind of think that whatever cracks they were having were finished when Emily opened up to him in that bedroom scene when she used Fauxmanda's old photo.

  21. Was that before or after Margaux's move? I honestly don't remember. I watch so many shows and I usually don't discuss Revenge so much in detail, hehe.

  22. Ahah don't worry, I have the same issue. That was after Margaux's move, way after. Margaux's move was like episode 2 of the season.

  23. Okay, I can't think of anything.. Maybe we're really just overthinking it.

  24. This is one of the reasons I ship Daniel and Sarah. I think his feelings are genuine and I really don't think he deserves to be a pawn in Emily's scheme. I wish Emily could find a way to take down the Graysons without so much collateral damage.

  25. Emily's first husband shows up at the bridal shower - this was such a brilliant scene. Victoria thinks she's finally delivered Emily a crushing blow... but lo and behold, it was all part of Ems' plan! And everything that was supposed to make Victoria's move a deadly one - doing it in front of dozens of people, with all the humiliation that entails - backfires completely: she's the one humiliated, and unknown to her, this is going to establish her motive as Emily's murderer once the frame goes down. Also, clever continuation of last week: I never would've guessed that Emily actually HAS an ex, and telling Bizzy about it last week was the beginning of such a clever play.

That whole motive thing is generally very smart because until now, we all assumed that Victoria's attempts to break off the engagement were detrimental to Emily. But now we know that Emily actually WANTS Victoria to try (and fail), because this way she lays the groundwork for everyone believing Victoria wanted her out of the way *that* bad.

This was a terrific episode all around, though. Emily pretending to break down in front of Sarah was so awesome (I actually laughed out loud when she showed up behind her with a chilly "Hello, Sarah" - and then I rewound and laughed AGAIN, ha). She's such a good actress and can totally get people where she wants them, in this case to guilt-trip the hell out of Sarah. The Nolan/Jack/Emily was nicely emotional, Aiden was badass kicking the crap out of that perv who wanted to sell Charlotte's nude pictures (and you gotta love how he managed to do a good thing for Charlotte while STILL having an agenda!), Victoria revealing to Emily that the Grayson men have their little retreat for affairs - mirroring the earlier Daniel/Conrad scene of course - was surprising and clever, and Lydia walking out of the shadows to meet Margaux was such a visually cool moment.

    This show is on fire!

  26. Sadly, I was spoiled for it because I keep reading message boards and someone mentioned that Amber Valetta (Lydia) was on set filming. I would've been totally blindsided by it otherwise (just like the episode promo said, ha).

I still loved how the scene was done: Margaux in that trench coat, going to a secret meeting like someone in a film noir, a shadow coming closer behind her while she's on the phone with Jack and then finally her turning around and the reveal.

  27. Well, it's wasn't a surprise to me either because I had seen the promo for this week before watching the episode ( I live outside the US and watch the episode on Monday night ) but it was a chock anyway lol. If only I wasn't curious...... -_-

  28. I still hate that Margaux threw herself at him like that, it's so incongruent with who she is: a self-assured, smart, sexy and ambitious woman. She's too good to blatantly seduce an engaged man (and not even in a private setting but in their office). I was hoping it would turn out to have been some kind of test on her part (someone suggested that if Daniel had taken the bait, she would've refused to hire him because it would've been a sign of weakness), but it doesn't seem that way.

  29. I guess we're meant to understand that his feelings for Sarah never went away, so as soon as she was back in his life, he was irresistibly drawn to her despite being with Emily. Whereas Margaux, as far as we know, never "did it" for him in the romantic sense, so it wasn't a problem for him to turn her down.

  30. That scene was genius. I loved how Victoria thought she finally tore Emily down once and for all, only for the dynamic to completely reverse with Ems proving she knew everything all along. Victoria went from an arrogant smirk of triumph to being pwned and humiliated in like 10 seconds. Ems is such an evil little mastermind and god love her for it.

  31. But the promo didn't reveal who was coming back, just that *somebody* from the past was. We saw a shadow that kinda looked like a woman but the promo didn't give it away the identity of the person. So I don't understand how you knew it was Lydia.

    ReplyDelete
  32. No, I mean, I saw the promo for next week episode (3x09) before watching the 8th episode... ^^

    ReplyDelete
  33. Oh, I see. Well, at least it's an awesome promo. :D

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yep! But it also announces that we'll have to wait till December 8th to see Lydia vs Emily ( and Victoria )again :D

    ReplyDelete
  35. IKR? It's so amazing I can't stop watching it!
