    Omg. This is crazy ridiculous..First of all, i just need to applaud Nina. Poor girl must be so drained, i mean she's playing 3 roles at once. That's a lot. Loved Damon's funny lines. Also Silas' douchey-ness with that Mayor knock knock joke. Katherine had me laughing trying to be Elena as human, she's done it many times before, but this time just seemed to be very different. Maybe she was probably trying too hard to sell herself on purpose. That's why i laughed so much. Ok last week, i complained cuz i was jipped of my Steroline scenes, Now have i none whatsoever?? Ugh! I knew it was Amara right before Tessa got off the phone with Damon. Damn. So Silas gets "killed" by his "one true love" after going through all that just to die by her hand. LOL Talk about Karma. Did i like the Katherine/Caroline team up, as a matter of fact i did. Didn't think that would EVER happen, maybe that's why i liked it, cuz it was a very unexpected match. The ending, not much of a cliffhanger, actually during that scene, i said please don't bring back the Martyr. Maybe he'll be different, and that's a big Maybe!! But on the brightside, maybe we'll be getting what i know, I have wanted since he was rescued and that's being mentally and emotionally damaged from being underneath the water for months!! Ex: running faucet, he vamp speed under the table or something....That's what i've wanted to see since he came up, not forgetful Stefan. Nonetheless, I still kinda sorta maybe, enjoyed forgetful Stefan, for a bit. (gimme a break, that was me being nice about him, don't rip my head off). He was more fun than Regular Stefan and "Ripper" Stefan. See another example, duh. Amara...she's completely wacked out from being in a box for 2000 yrs. That's what i want to see in Stefan. "Are you real?" "Are you?" LOL Oh Damon.

    So many Patrova dopplegangers in one episode. Did not see that coming. Excited to see how Nina Dobrv portrays these three. She already does a great job playing Elena and Katherine.

    This show has long since jumped the shark. They have over played the doppelganger thing for way too long. The stories now suck. I can barely watch any of it at all anymore.

    Say it ain't so! This episode confirmed it for me: I'm just not into TVD as I once was (and I came on this site a long time ago SOLELY for TVD...couldn't get enough of it from day 1).


    I just think that the writers have written themselves into a corner with the mythology and definitely their heavy reliance on the love triangle. And now, here they are again trying to create new drama with the love triangle by way of doppleganger/destiny mythology. As soon as I saw in the last season that Stefan was a doppleganger of Silas, I knew the show jumped the shark. But I just want to be wrong. I keep waiting for an episode this season that makes me get excited again about where the story is headed.


    I'm sorry but I just don't care about the Tessa/Silas/Amara thing. None of the "bad guys" now are very interesting...or even bad. I hope that the whole Tessa/Silas/Amara thing is done with soon and we can find an interesting story that somehow really relates to our main cast...and not just another reason to play on the love triangle. In fact, let Elena finally chose to be on her own...sans Salvatore brothers. I miss Team Salvatore...get back to that. And, while you are at it writers, give Caroline more screen time. She still rocks!

    I hope that girl gets a major pay raise. 3 characters in one show. Wait til they bring in Tatia (the "original" Petrova doppleganger who Klaus and Elijah feel for and whose blood was used in the spell to make them vampires). But maybe that will be saved for The Originals. Goodness, I've had enough of dopplegangers (though I do like Katherine...well I love to hate Katherine).

    They should just change the name to Doppelganger Diaries. I am so over this season. I swear if another doppelganger comes in the mix I will just stop watching. I am so missing Klaus. Can we just end this season and start over with some new real villains.

    this show is suffering what all genre shows of this kind suffer from, lack of planning. if you watch enough of these type of shows many have about 2-3 season before they have tapped out of any sort of plan or mythology they had in mind and then just begin to recycle what they already have done. (only badly and more convoluted) and funny enough it is about the same I get bored and stop watching. you have to be an exceptionally good and focused writer to build a world to have it carry through many seasons and quite obviously the writer of this show is none of those things. I doubt it will get better as the writer(s) clearly have noting left to say and nowhere to go.

    Im getting tried the same actor being so many doppelganger thing. It was kinda interesting at first the doppelganger always finding each other but now it just bugging me. They need to end this story line quickly beause i'm kinda Board.

    I've wanted Steroline for a long time. Since season 2. if u see my comment below, i do mention that iI was annoyed they didn't get any time together this episode. they're my GPC (guilty pleasure couple). I do NOT however want Klaroline. Was never on that ship, never will be. But no, you're not the only one who wants to see Steroline together, there's a lot out there.

    Agreed. I feel the same way. I was really bummed out by this episode. And they need to end this storyline FAST! I wasn't excited at all through this entire episode. I wanna get excited like I used to be, and it's just not happening. The only thing that's keeping my interest is Katherine dying, and her knowing Nadia a bit before that happens. I even enjoy Matt when he's on the scene. But he's not! And I couldn't even be in awe of my delena. Now when I can't even get excited about my ship, in an episode, something is seriously lacking! And it's not them. It's the writers. They need to fix this season, and do it NOW! Don't wait til the first half of the season (which is probably what they'll do).

    I would rather Caroline be with someone who puts her first - Stefan will always chose Elena over her and I feel like she's already been down that road in Season 1 when she dated Matt (who was still hung up on Elena).

    This show is getting so convoluted this season. You'd need a Carrie Mathison Homeland conspiracy wall to keep track of all the interconnected ridiculousness going on. By all rights, I should be throwing stuff at my TV and screaming obscenities about how bad this is but I can't. This whole mess is actually really amusing now. The Vampire Diaries has gone from a snarky supernatural soap opera to one of those "it's so bad, it's good" shows.

    I Flipping LOVE Tessa and her quick wit! " I lured Elena in... how much smarter could a duck be?" LOVE HER!! I hate how once again everyone and their mom is breaking back to save Elena's sucky self.. can this girl do anything right? What is it about her? Even memoryless stefan saves her... GRRR I'm so sick of that! Lets put my life on the line for ELENA, Let me die so ELENA can be happy.. So sick let call the show the Elena Diaries and be done with it! Katherine is awesome as usual! The grey hair the tooth thing I feel so badly for her! Damon literally threw her into the enemy's hands and just stood there and watched as she was going to die... SMH. I loved the Stephan/Tessa scenes and am kinda pissed she gave him his memory back! Also anyone feel like Damon and Elena together has TOTALLY ruined Damon's character? He is NOT the same BadA$$ Damon we fell in love with who would do w/e he wanted whenever he wanted without caring about anyone or anything. Now.. he is SOOO SOFT... "Oh i'm jealous of my brother let me snap his neck.. Ohh Elena be the puppy at my heel and follow me wherever I go... OOO I need to save Elena bc she is my life.." Honestly the whole point of Character development is that you continue to love the characters you create... The writers have done the opposite. Elena has gotten SO MUCH WORSE her scenes are literally unbearable!!! "I get it stephan you hate me.." And damon isn't too far behind.. if they stopped feeding him his one liners his character would be so boring!! He just isn't the same and I hate that its elena who made his character suck!! IDK this is all my opinion but right now I think they need to fix Damon and Elena's characters realll fast bc the originals is putting TVD to shame bc they actually have good characters!!! Lastly Rest in hell silas.. SOOO HAPPY U ARE POSSIBLY DEAD!!!!! (But I still love you Paul Wesley!)

    I'm on the same track. I cannot take this show anymore. The Doppelgangers are making me queasy. And I don't care who Elena is with anymore. This whole thing is the worst storyline ever. I don't even care if Bonnie comes back or not. And I don't like the college storylines either. The whole thing sux. The Originals is so much better than this. If they don't quit it with the excessive doppelgangers, I'm just going to watch The Originals and that's it.

    Its amazing how much a horrible character can ruin a great actor. I love silas and loved the actor on wolf lake but i hate stefan. They should have killed off stefan and kept silas.

    I'm really liking this professor over the last one. He's much more interesting. I'm also curious about the problem that Katherine has got going on since surviving her attack with Silas. I like Tessa, but she is a crazy b. I don't care for this love triangle thing starting up again; it makes me sad for Damon. I'm so over this "love" thing that Jeremy & Bonnie have got going on. I never liked Bonnie in the first place and I was excited when I thought she was going to die, but then disappointed when we were stuck with ghost Bonnie. I love Katherine & Caroline working together. Maybe the writers will pursue Katherine & Aaron (is that his name?). I don't like 3 Elenas running around. Overall, really good ep.

    It's only been six episodes but, so far, I think what they're doing this year is working out better than what they attempted last year. TVD often tried too hard to be a gut-wrenching emotional drama last season and they overloaded on angst. This season, they've scrapped that for full-on crazy. This show sure isn't what it started out to be but at least now it's fun. Ridiculous, but fun.

    I don't know about fun, but definitely ridiculous and convoluted. Again, I can suspend belief about ancient people from 2000 years ago speaking English with American accents but the plotlines for this season are equal parts confusing and boring. It's clear that the writers are tapped out.

    I was fine with this reply up until the last part. All viewers have their opinions, after all. I certainly have plenty of my own. However, statements like "It's clear that the writers are tapped out" get an instant eye-roll from me. Not liking something doesn't mean an entire writing staff suddenly lost the ability to sufficiently do their jobs. The show is simply taking a creative direction you apparently don't enjoy.

    Offend is a strong word. I'm not offended. I just thought you were being unnecessarily hyperbolic, that's all. I've always had things that have bothered me about this show but they've never impeded my enjoyment of the show too much. If TVD's faults are starting to dissolve your enjoyment of the show then that is disappointing to know. I hope it gets better for you.

    I hope i'm not right but i have a bad feeling that the Augustine Vampire is another version of Paul Wesley lol If i'm right i'm jumping ship on this show bc bad enough we had two Nina's now we have a third one and it was much better when we had one Paul but two was just plain stupid and finally if there will be a third Paul it will be too soon lol

    Shannon you gotta understand Tessa explained since Amara and Silas got together the Universe been making more copies of each other so they can fall in love in all over again bc of the consequences of what Silas did. Basically i wouldn't be surprised Augustine is Paul lol
