This whole episode gave me Rose Red vibes, tbh. And whoa, I was not expecting the "Katrina was pregnant and gave birth" twist (although I should have seen it coming)! Poor Crane.
It was great! My first thought when I saw this promo was "it's the house from Abby's dream with Katrina." how did she not remember that? That tree character was creepy.
Jesus!! Katrina's just full of secrets isn't she?? In a relationship with the bestie, breaks it off. Knows why she's in limbo, and then pops out a kid. Damn!! It's just a domino effect with her. I knew Abbie was a descendant once she saw that woman. "Good Abbie talk to the ghost." That made me LOL. But yeah, i knew, first you talk to her, then you have visions, then she's helping you escape. I'm sorry but when Katrina was giving birth, the first thing that came to my mind was...Ichabbie are never getting together now (I know i'm terrible, haha). I loved Jenny/Irving bonding. Felt good to see Irving smile. Also loved Macy right away. And LOVED Ichabod getting revenge!! That was sexy!! His rage! Wow.."Heed my words" Ioved it! And him calling Abbie, Abbie again. (yes i'm keeping score). Tonight was great! And i can't believe Ichabod had a son. Idk why but i feel like he was SO proper with Katrina that he could never get sexual with her. LOL I mean he's such a gentleman, it didn't cross my mind that he would get down and dirty. lmao
p.s....Okay the chic's name was Lena Gilbert. W/eeee She's only missing an E. Easy mistake on all our parts.
Well i fear it means that, Katrina could've put a spell on him too, for all we know. And we know they're trying to get Katrina corporeal again...So it all adds up, one big happy Crane family...ergo..no Ichabbie.
Really good episode. The tree demon... Well, that was a mix of awesome and total cheese. The scene where he first rises was like a Supernatural-if-it-had-had-a-bigger-budget-in-season-1 scene which was kinda cool. Anyway, not surprised that Crane has a kid. I mean this show is from people responsible for Fringe, it was obvious it was coming but awesome because it will deepen the show a lot. And some definite creep factor.
Just when I think Sleepy Hollow had forgotten its silly but fun side up pops a tree monster and all is well in the world.
I like that it seems Abbie and Ichabod's fates have been entwined for a long time, it certainly makes it clearer why Abbie is one of the witnesses, maybe her own mother was a witch or something supernatural.
Whoa Katrina having all these secrets, and giving birth to a son! Makes you feel bad for Ichabod having to find out all these things 250 yrs later..
Tree monster reminded me of the Smoke monster except the tree monster bled.
And oh man when Ichabod gets mad, woo, watch out! ....
Really loving their relationship! Its refreshing not having them being sexually attracted to one another, wanting a relationship more than friendship.I applaud them!
The episode started off slow but I loved it overall.
I was expecting them to reveal that Lena Gilbert was Ichabod's great great granddaughter but that never happened so I guess she's not. It just made more sense to me because we never saw the male witch with a wife or any children. Then he died so suddenly. Obviously since Katrina died the child must have been given up for adoption so I thought made he took the male witches name for protection. Plus it would make sense why the tree monster was after Lena Gilbert because that was never explained.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteIt's cute that Abbie was related to Grace.
Great episode!

ReplyDeleteGreat episode! Intense Ichabod was awesome.
ReplyDeleteWoah, at Ichabod having a son. I wonder what happened to him and why Katrina didn't tell Crane about him.
Also woah that Abbie's ancestor brought Crane's son into the world.
Aww, at Abbie and Ichabod drinking rum. God, I love their friendship so much.

I don't think Katrina having a baby means that Abbie/Ichabod will never happen, tbh.
