This show continues to kill it. I've enjoyed this show since the beginning, but my only problem has been the whole silent villain with the only motive of causing the end the world or whatever. Way to surprise us with who he is and give him an actual motivation Sleepy Hollow!
I sure was surprise too . When Death said he wanted to kill Crane, I was searching in my head in what way would that help in his ''take over the world's plan''. I sure wasn't thinking as being a vengence
I'm going to keep this short. I'm kinda out of it tonight. But i thought this episode was very good. Very exciting, nice twist! So the Horseman is Ichabod's old bestie, Wow...i liked that. Liked Ichabod losing his cool, and how he said he could never lose his cool. Hahaha I said no you couldn't. Also loved the dynamic between Irving and Jenny. Jenny had like no patience, and Iriving was just ok, we'll do it your way. Looks like Andy is gone for good? Hopefully he'll come back. Favorite scene...Abbie showing Ichabod the fist bump! So cute! Liiks like Katrina is coming up soon. Very exciting.
The twist was once again too obvious so the drama was lost on me. Soon as we learned whose pendant it was and who originally gave it to Katrina it was apparent that the Horseman Death once was Abraham. Personally I was hoping for a much older and much more rich history for Horseman Death than some petty Revolutionary romance revenge.
I always assumed Death would escape, but I was disappointed in how it happened. It seems odd to me that Ichabod would call Brooks Moloch's (or was it Death's?) necromancer but not give a second thought to leaving him alone with Death. Ya think he might still be under Moloch's influence... Just maybe? Plus the last second save seemed a bit contrived to me.
Moloch's minions were cool looking but fairly weak honestly. One shot and they shatter into shards and dust? Conveniently they were strong enough to distract Team Hollow and restrain Death from killing Ichabod.
- I liked the return of Jenny Mills to the show! - Liked the chemistry between Irving and Jenny. - Love the foreshadowing of Katrina having a more important tole to play! - The action and humor were great as usual!
It seems like most of the episodes top just short of being awesome to me. Each week they are on their way and then stumble into entertaining mediocrity. Sad that.
Excellent episode as this series always delivers. TV has been needing a "action/drama" series with a mix of horror and comedy that works for to long now! 1) the fist bump - to funny! 2) Horseman using Eddie as a "sock puppet" - to creepy! 3) latest entry into the "bad - a$$/dynamic duo" category, Jenny and Irving - team to bad/cool (Jenny does bad to evildoers and Irving is as cool as the other side of the pillow when dealing with supernatural crimes/criminals)! When I saw Neil Jackson's name in the credits I figured him to be the Horseman "Death" (great choose by the way), but didn't see the twist being personal vengeance against Ichabod/Katrina. Next week we get some backstory on Katrina...........guess where I'll be next Monday "Sleepy Heads"? 4 A RIDE THAT WILL LEAVE YOU HEADLESS, I am Nobody!!!
Great episode, and the episode revealed a great connection between the 3 roles belonging to the original story. Ichabod, Katrina, and Abraham all three have similar connections to each other from the original story to the present adaptation. Many things changed for the better, including for me the addition of a greater supernatural force they face, or the so called Secret War.
In my opinion people's twisted forms of love is behind lots of bad decisions. Few things hurt worse than the emotional pain a relationship can cause no matter how old you are. So I actually find it believable.
At least they take locking up the Horseman seriously. :-) that was a lot of chains.
I think Captain Irving is handling this all pretty well. :-)
Am I the only one who thinks Katrina's backstory is a bit all over the place? I'm going to stick with the belief that the Quaker bit was her working as a spy.
Irving's got game. :-)
Walking dead guy...CREEPY
lots of dead guys REALLY CREEPY
Icabod's best friend isn't the Horseman is he? YES HE IS! mwahahahaha
So did the other Hessians make special deals with Moloch or just the Horsemen?
Actually i solved the identity of the horsemen as soon as Crane explained the Necklace lol and quite frankly it was a twist that i expected to happen. The horseman originally mission was to kill the Masons which he accomplished but not before his rage for Crane started when he saw him with him in sleepy hollow.
I guess when brothers in combat die together they raise from the dead together lol. Ironically Katrina knew who the horseman was which explained why she linked them together. In order to link two ppl blood there needs to be some sort of bond in order for the link to remain strong and that exactly what Abraham and Crane had.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteDeath being Abraham... great plot twist!!! I did not see that coming!
ReplyDeleteLoved finding out about the Horseman's backstory! Talking through Andy was terrifying.

ReplyDeleteFor me, BEST EPISODE EVER. This show is not quite perfect but , it's so worth looking !!!
ReplyDeleteAnother awesome ep. This show gets better and better. I loved the plot twist. Didn't see that coming.

Abraham seems to be the only one from what we can tell. Hessians i assume they have no choice but to follow seeing as there Moloch's henchmen.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite moment was when Crane apologized for leading them the wrong way to the seal lol
ReplyDeleteI didn't see it coming at all.
