Oh come on! You're making it more difficult with each and every episode not to ship FitzSimmons! I'm trying to maintain a delicate balance of shipping them and preparing for the likelihood they'll only ever be friends. You're making that impossible! There was the whole prank thing and Jemma's "britishness".
For the record, Jemma's laugh at the end was totally adorable.
I loved it! May is my favorite character and I'm glad we had some backstory on her even if it was kinda vague. Hopefully she will tell us the whole story about why she was named "The Cavalry" in the future because that mission definitely changed her.
LOL, at Fitz pranking himself and the team with the mop and the shaving cream on his face at the end. So adorable XD
I am thinking the whole "May might be Skye's mother" is way too obvious and is a red-herring Its more than likely that the "gifted cult leader" was Skye's parents/mother and May had to kill them, near the baby. Then Coulson convinced her to give the baby up for adoption.
Glad we finally saw May get fleshed out a bit. Also very glad they saved us from the awkward, cliched Skye/May scene at the end - skye: "I'm sorry for being rude/subordinate" may: "no you were right to be empathetic" skye: "I know empathy is hard for you since your trauma" may: "It is but I'm trying" sky: "you can keep trying to be empathetic and I'll keep trying to fit into the SHIELD protocols and stuff better" UGH.
Apart from Fitz&Simmons May is still my favorite character even before this episode I really liked for no good reason and I've never liked Ward but now that he's sleeping with May he's getting more tolerable
Yeah...I think this might be the last episode for me. I think I'll watch until the fall finale, but other than that. I'm not here for that Ward and May nonsense. I'm here for team dynamics and adventure. Not love rectangles.
I'd prefer Ward with Simmons but I'll take him with May. Either is better than having Ward/Skye, the most obvious and least interesting pairing on TV.
May is my favourite character too and I'm glad we got some back story on her. I'm afraid she's just a place holder for Ward, but until then, I'll enjoy her humanizing him.
I thought May was the one who pranked Fitz. Colson was telling Skye that before the incident, May was funny and loved to pull pranks. And when Fitz was demanding to know who pranked him, May gave a smile.
It was great that Skye was involved in this episode, solving the puzzle and figuring out clues about Tobias and helping Hannah. I was worried there wasn't any progress/growth of the character and that she would be stuck on Level 1. Loved the Skye/Coulson scene at the end. Also the prank at the end was hilarious :)
so jessica Drew as in Spider-women? And she develop her own powers? Don't know much about the comic I think the portal will come back definately it seem there is possibility two major threats this season along with multiple smaller storyline at the same time? What happen to Coulson MAy past Skype past
Sex doesn't necessarily mean romance though, I see it as a very causal thing can't imagine Ward buying May flowers or any candlelit dinners in their futures.
Absolutely LOVED IT. Loved the plot, I'm so happy to see this show building up the general MCU mythology and universe, it's fascinating and creates so many future possibilities. It was nice seeing a bit of May's backstory. And hey, May/Ward, that might be interesting in its own right! But what I liked especially is that May told Tobias the exact thing Coulson once told her and the truth in those words finally settled in with her. She even pranked Fitz and if that's not a sign of her starting to deal with her past, I don't what it could be.
I think it was a great episode. May's character is getting more and more interesting with every episode. I'm glad we finally got something about her past, even if it were just a few details.
Love the episode. I have to confess I found it a little scary lol! I love it when a show makes me jump. The ghost was creepy until the end, I actually felt sorry for him. I'm surprised anyone got back on the plane after crash landing! I'd be terrified!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDelete100% Sure Skye is Jessica Drew now

ReplyDeleteThey are awesome I don't mind jumping the gun with them at all

ReplyDeleteMay did in fact prank Fitz! I was just saying that Fitz looked adorable with the shaving cream on his face.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, I'd love to see flashback of the scene and more action scenes with her period
ReplyDeleteI was really hoping that this show would be about teamwork, friendship and the relationships between all the characters of the team. And now, they pair May/Ward for romance. So cliché that the two field agents start a relationship. Hope they move on from that and get back to the team, that's what important to me. I'll admit, that if the relationship continues, I might give this show up.

As much as I would love Jessica Drew to turn up or for Skye to be her as she is Spiderwoman pretty sure the rights belong to Sony still.

ReplyDeleteMelinda May has defeated FitzSimmons and become my favourite character and the ending was brilliant, she isn't completely damaged, there is hope!
ReplyDeleteYou make a good point :)
ReplyDeleteNope. Spiderman and Spider Woman are entirely separate franchises. Spider Woman has absolutely nothing to do with Peter Parker.
