Everything about this episode was so freakin' heart stopping and emotional. Loved that the Chitauri helmet made an appearance. I can't wait for more Marvel objects to keep on coming. Fitz and Simmon's performances tonight were downright fantastic. Both of them have definitely improved since the pilot. I sincerely thought they would do the unthinkable and we would lose Simmons considering Whedon's evil ways but I was so relieved we didn't.
LOL at Fitz and Simmons imitating Ward. That was hilarious XD
I loved the Coulson/May scene at the end. I love how close they are to each other.
loved the pacing in this ep that the cotw took a backseat and the focus was on the team and the interactions among them enjoyed the deepening relationship between Fitz and Simmons and Simmons and Skye.... loved the appearance of Titus W. as his character from the one off short, Item 47... the mystery continues with Coulson, and I wonder if this will be discovered by the end of the season.....
Loved this episode. I thought that this was the best episode of the season so far. It was intense and emotional and I'm really enjoying the team dynamics. They worked really well together :)
Yeah, for me this episode was much better than last week's BECAUSE they wrapped up the cotw early and moved the focus back to the team. And also because Fitz and Simmons were phenomenal. I'm buying into their whole thing now, I know they're still a little cliche but I love them too much to care.
WOW! Didn't really feel the first 5 episodes of this show, but this one was just sublime. On par with the Whedon magic I have come to expect. So glad i did not give up on it. Can't wait to see what comes!
I was on the fence about this show until tonight. Now I'm all in. I was crying over Fitz and Simmons, and neither of them are even my favourite character, nor are they my favourite relationship. But I was crying.
Well this was easily THE BEST episode of this show so far.
Maybe it was my memories for Angel The Series and what happened to Amy Acker's character there, but this episode was incredibly tense for me and I feared for Simmons life since the very start when the body fell down(I was like "Uh oh that's not good").
And then the serum on rats did not work and my heart sank. And then it was revealed that it did work and yet she still jumped because she did not know and oh gods.
This has to have been the most emotionally taxing episode of this show yet.
I really liked that the show went back to its origins again. It makes sense that the firefighters would keep a Chitauri helmet as a souvenir. It's just too bad it cost them their lives. Also liked that the focus shifted to the team halfway through the episode. I didn't expect to care this much about the team just after 6 episodes.
The problem being here not the people, but Whedon & Friends themselves. They are quite capable of killing off almost everybody. Hell, they can make you fall in love with a character for 6 or 7 episodes, and then make he/she die in the mosdt horrible way just to scar you for life (Just see Dr Horrible Sing Along Blog).
Best episode yet, all the FitzSimmons and Melinda/Phil stuff was amazing. I cried several times which is a sign I am emotionally invested in the characters.
Best episode of the series so far. And it really made me change my mind. I've been saying since the beginning that they should ax one of the halves of the FitzSimmons pair and bring in a less redundant character instead but when that was about to happen, I realized I was already attached to them. Great episode that developed a lot of storylines for most characters. The Phil stuff was pretty good too particularly. I think that Wald put it best when he mentioned that there wasn't any big bad guy for them to go against; that worked in favour of the episode.
I think I have finally warmed to Fitz and Simmons. I have found them slightly annoying in the first few episodes. This episode made me see a different side to them :) I think also the show has finally found it's feet :)
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
What was the trust issue like among the team....
ReplyDeleteHoly crap....HOLY CRAP!

This is episode 6... I AM NOT SUPPOSED TO BE IN THIS MUCH EMOTIONAL PAIN!
ReplyDeleteWelcome to a Whedon show. You better get used to it. ;)

ReplyDeleteFitz and Simmons relationship is so important......they are nothing without each other

ReplyDeleteGood but hilariously bad pacing.

ReplyDeleteIt was okay. It was so obvious Simmons was not going to die, I can't believe people even thought that. It kind of felt off, like filler.

ReplyDeleteJust knew they wouldn't get rid of one of the 6 people on the team this early into the season. It wouldn't feel right after she died...
ReplyDeleteThe best episode of the season so far, bring more like this one.
