By the way I'm confused about something. Did Kenzi and Dyson ever go beyond kissing each other? Because it seems like they want to keep their thing a secret but I don't think kissing requires the secrecy at all. I don't know if it was ever confirmed if they want beyond that. Because if they did have sex then I could understand the awkwardness.
maybe they did cause that was some kiss in the premiere definitely steamy but I'm hoping they didn't because that will complicate things for Kenzi/Hale and ultimates Bo/Dyson
So, I was kinda bored and disappointed with the episode. I like the Kenzi/Hale pairing but it felt kinda weird and awkward seeing them together - maybe it was the perfume and Kenzi interrupting? I really want Bo to be back - her scenes on the train were quite mysterious, but they felt like they were interrupting the flow of the episode. To a lesser extent, the same could be said of Lauren. I did enjoy the phone call between Lauren and Dyson and her scenes more than Bo's, but they just weren't very relevant to the episode. On a different note, I feel like we were missing the explanation of why Vex is being tortured. Yes, the old Morgan is gone - do they suspect foul play? Does anyone really care if the old Dark Fey Lord was killed/kidnapped by the new one? Lastly, baby TamTam was a hoot, but was slightly unbelievable.
This was an episode for me. I got to see a lot of Dyson! I liked what I saw and it fitted to his character - he was hunting. But they did write him a bit different this time, actually more fitting to his 1000 years of living. He was so clam and cool about his hunt or maybe he was just in his element. I would have expected him to be more fustrated and panicked (like Kenzi). For me it seemed more had happend between Kenzi and Dyson - thus he wants to keep things secret. But really? Do they have to go there again?!?! It would be credible if they let Dyson have learned his lesson - that it's the best to be honest with Bo.. The one thing that bothered me the most was that Dyson mentiones Lauren to be Bo's girlfriend, in itself that is ok, but Dyson and Lauren had drinks, after Lauren broke up with Bo (or did I forget something). What would have made this episode even better for me, if Dyson and Lauren had worked together. Tam Tam part was great and of course they still have to tease us for Kenzi and Hale.
I also credit the awkwardness between Hale and Kenzi to the perfume. I think the Una Men are trying to bring everything back in order and for this they have to investigate/torture everybody, they just started with Vex.
I agree that Dyson really stepped up to the plate this episode - he was by far the best thing - unfortunately, for me, the rest of the episode just wasn't my cup of tea.
We will see Eddie again, because he is Bo's father.........so I believe. The episode was better because now we are getting somewhere. The gang is trying to find Bo, Lauren is trying to find Bo and not get caught by the fae, and Bo is trying to find her way out of......where? Poor Aife, will she and Bo ever have their mother/daughter reunion? Between the Una Mens, The Morrigan, and the elemental nymph Vex is in way to much trouble this season! Looking forward to the next episode with more Bo and Lauren. 4 DOCCUBUS/KENZIBUS EVERAFTER, I am Nobody!!!
This season continues to NOT let me down on "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON" department. This was almost as trippy as the first episode and I am loving it.
Kenzi's little monologue about love was 100% about Dyson. Hee.
Also never expected trains to be used this way, but when I think about it, trains overall have been quite commonly used in fiction in terms of afterlife or some sort of dream-like place, so it all fits.
Also, while I do like Teen-Tamsin, can't wait till we have Rachel Skarsten's Tamtam back.
Quoting Dyson, "There's a lot of things Bo should not find out". I doubt it was just a kiss and its quite clear that the secrets the cast hides and the changes they underwent will be major theme of this season.
I would much rather see Kenzi and Dyson. Their chemistry is so much better than Kenzi and Hale. Considering I am a huge Doccubis fan I have really enjoyed the first two episode's even though they have had about 2 minutes screen time (separately). Kenzi and Dyson really can hold the show on their own and mini Tamsin was great!
Dyson gives his heart to Bo. He can't love another woman anymore or at least not that intensely. For me, Dyson is more a big brother to Kenzi. I see Kenzi with Hale.
I thought the show was called 'Lost Girl', not 'Lost Wolf'. First two eppies seem to be all about Dyson and his love for Bo and how he cant be without her. She chooses Lauren but that does not compute with him. Dyson says he knows Bo loves Lauren but will go after her anyway! What a dick! Trick and Dyson still keeping things from Bo, I hope they come back to bite them in the end.
I think that the writers wrote it that way just because Anna Silk just had a baby and needed the time off. Shooting quick scenes in the first 2 episodes gives her the break she needs - but her break should be over next episode.
He may have given his heart to Bo, but she doesn't want it. Dyson and Kenzi have too much of a brother/sister thing going that I cant get behind them as a couple. Kenzi and Hale all the way!
Here's the thing: Anna Silk got pregnant in the middle of filming a television show, necessitating that her main character be removed. Without AS, the secondary and tertiary leads take the reins. Deal with it or complain to Silk.
As much as I disagree about Denzi as Brother/Sister, thank you for being polite about it and phrasing your opinion as just that, an opinion. (Unlike some who use Are and Have without - I think or To me - as if making a statement.)
She needed time after having a baby, so it's understandable, but I missed Bo like crazy! I agree with your Buffy/Bella comparison. That's the main reason I don't want Bo and Dyson together. With him, Bo stops being the kick ass succubus. And I hate that!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
So far the season has been all about the "WTF is even going on?". I'm cool with that.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Kale! By the way, Kenzi and Hale need a new ship name. When you tumblr them you get...kale. Lots and lots of kale.
Mini-TamTam was adorable.
This is getting so good so fast
ReplyDeleteWho knew that kale would be such a popular topic on tumblr? :)

ReplyDeletePeople obsession with taking pictures of their food will always astound me.

ReplyDeleteI had the impression that more had happend between Dyson and Kenzi, last episode. Smth Dyson said just before they kiss.
ReplyDeleteBoth Dyson and Vex implied Dyson was doing Kenzi.
ReplyDeletewhats the big deal? Bo is a succubus its not like shes gonna judge

ReplyDeleteThe mini Tam was so cool. haha
ReplyDeleteI realy liked this episode.
Starting to answer everything.
Ok, I could kinda see that, but they were ready to kill Vex.
ReplyDeleteI agree that Dyson really stepped up to the plate this episode - he was by far the best thing - unfortunately, for me, the rest of the episode just wasn't my cup of tea.
ReplyDeletenon very good! It's no more interesting!

ReplyDeleteI'm thinking Bo's father snatched her to save her from the Una Mens

ReplyDeleteI am thinking the show is going for one giant geometrical figure of relationships, with more points than a triangle has :P
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, Kenzi and Dyson is still there. Who do you think Kenzi was talking about in her whole love monologue and giving up love?
I hope so 'cos they're so cute together.
ReplyDeleteDyson gives his heart to Bo. He can't love another woman anymore or at least not that intensely. For me, Dyson is more a big brother to Kenzi. I see Kenzi with Hale.

I thought she was talking about that boyfriend she had a while ago and ended up quite sad
