I really loved this episode....again, I hesited between Awesome and Great, and went for awesome. I actually fell for a second for the ''shooting Monroe'' 'til I saw how totally calm and cool Nick was with the fact he just shot him. he was way too ''oohh well...whatever, sh*t happen'' and not enough rushing and worrying. That's when I figured it out. The Monroe's comment after he was suppose to be dead was hilarious xD Overly-dramatic Dead!Monroe.
Now I wanna know if the first one before Nick and Monroe who got hit for real hitted the other real for real it by accident or it was for a little 'pay-back' ;)
Very entertaining episode. Why oh why did the writers waste Juliette for a whole season, when she's perfect as part of the gang? She even knows something about the Wesen that others don't, being a veterinarian. I'm sad about Sam, and didn't even suspect the treat that was compliments of the chef. It was a little creepy for Chicagoland people because our star restaurateur, Charlie Trotter, just passed away, and it's big news here.
I wish Monroe had just come out and asked Rosalee to marry him. That will be soon, I'm sure.
Yeah, I always said that she would fit right in, and I am so glad that I was right. I totally suspected the treat...the moment Rosalee took the temptation from Monroe I thought "why do I have the feeling that she just rescued him somehow".
Now that everyone important is on the same page, it seems like finally everything is balance out. While the writers are still juggling a lot of storylines at once, it didn't feel like the case of the week suffered for it. It was really well done.
After seing the episode again, the one thing that's bothering me is when they actually had the time to make and prepare the set up. After Monroe ++++ angry and before the set-up, Nick had the time to have the idea, call Monroe and have Monroe calling all the others wolf around (guessing they were all Monroe's friends, since they weren't attacking). And when did Monroe made that many friends? Didn't he say in season 1 he wasn't bothering the others of his kind? ;P
Don't get me wrong, these didn't change my opinion of the episode (awesome!) it's just messing with my brain ;P
I think in the first season, when Monroe said he and his kind don't socialize, he was trying to throw Nick off. Remember, he didn't know Nick. All he knew what that Nick was a wet-behind-the-ears Grimm with little killing experience. There was no need to expose his friends to danger by saying, "Oh, yeah, I know LOTS of other Blutbaden. We'd hunt for deer and rabbits all the time back in the day."
So, I was grossed out by the guys exploding. Rated the episode as awesome - loved the Nick/Monroe fight - completely fell for Monroe getting shot. Lol at the look Nick gave Monroe when "dead" Monroe talked. On a side note, I hope that Nick is more hesitant to kill Wessen from now on, that it wasn't just a one time thing as fall out from last week's episode.
Another great episode. I am loving this season. Love that NIck is still showing zombie effects and love the whole team vibe that is going on. Renard was awesome too!
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
Really enjoyed it!
ReplyDeleteAnd the moral of this story was: Eat more pork chops?
ReplyDeleteWhere is everyone commenting? ;P

I fell for the shooting too. What with Nick being "different" lately and all.

This was the first episode I really liked this seasons. Felt like a season one episode.
ReplyDeleteMonroe and Rosalee are so sweet together and the way he asked her to move in was touching. I'd move in with him after that :)

ReplyDeleteThat one went right by me, right up until the time Rosalee brought it up.

Very, very dumb resolution. Nick/Juliette's relationship feels very artificial. Monrosalee and Renard exposing Nick's hypocrisy are good.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree that Juliette is great as part of the gang. Now to start reeling in the Wu...
ReplyDeleteGood point! Thanks
