  1. Holy shit. I did not see the "Arizona was pregnant and miscarried" plot coming. Wish we could have seen that last season! It would have been a really interesting storyline (and now I have a fic idea where they try for another baby after reconciling).

Glad Callie's dad talked her into giving Arizona another chance, but A+ at pulling a Ross at the end there.

    Great episode!

  2. Wow wow wow OMG the best episode this season!!!! A lot of back story to help us understand where AZ fell off finally. Just wow Sara Ramirez was spectacular, phenomenal just every amazing word out there

  3. I think this is quite possibly the best episode I've seen from Grey's since the S8 finale. There was a lot of things we didn't see coming. Nothing felt predictable at all. Stacy McKee killed it.

  4. Oh,My! This was such an intense episode, their best so far this season!

I love that we are just finding out about Arizona being pregnant and losing the baby.About the operation and law suit.It was like getting a bonus peek at their lives. All these little flashbacks really packed a one two punch,ad told so much at the same time...Great freaking episode!!!!

  5. At first I thought you meant Shane "Ross" and wondered what you meant from that, and then I realized you were talking about Ross from Friends, lol.

  6. Great episode, but how did they not show us the "Calzona trying to have baby" storyline before, they have never let something this important before. However, I really liked the flow of the episode with the flashbacks and the present. Great episode.

  8. Earlier this season Shonda tweeted abt how things happen "off screen" that we don't see on screen and fans got mad b/c some of the storylines have just been going from 0-100 w/o any background (i.e. Arizona cheating when she and Callie were doing better). I think this may have been why they gave us the flashbacks for more background info and more insight into Arizona's mind set when she cheated.

  9. The best part was that we didn't have to see creepy Shane!!

  10. But why keep such an important storyline "offscreen"?

  11. Maybe it was like the whole Meredith thing where they wanted to keep it just btwn the 2 or them so no one else knew. IDK. IMO it felt fabricated just to give us the insight they didn't give last season. I think it made me more sympathetic toward Arizona seeing it after the fact rather than while it was happening. As far as never seeing the patient before this episode, Shonda tries to come from a place of reality in her writing so I think it's realistic that we wouldn't see every case they have ever had just like we didn't see Meredith diagnose that patient that caused her and Yang to fall out.

  12. WOW!! JUST WOW!! I don't know what to say. I need to settle my breathe

  13. Yeah, I am OK with not seeing the patient as we can't see each and every patient that comes go the hospital.

  14. This was the best episode so far this season. It gave us so much insight to Arizona's mindset even though it wasn't told for her POV. And I'm ecstatic that Arizona and Leah appear to be OVER. Callie will find out and that will be more fighting and drama but as long as Calzona are now on their journey back together, I'm ok with that!

  15. I'm not buying the flashbacks. They just seem so contrived and out of place. To me, it seemed like a poor attempt at redeeming Arizona and justifying her infidelity. Arizona already has so many unresolved problems, there was really no need to add a miscarriage to the mix. Oh, and now there's also the whole fiasco with Leah.
Other than that, It was nice seeing Héctor Elizondo again. He has really great chemistry with Sara Ramirez who really shined in this episode.

  16. There is something I don't understand. How Cristina did her first solo valve replacement on Travis.
I remember her first solo valve replacement. It was in season six, she was third year resident (not second) and it was on a really annoying lady.

  17. Yeah- that's when she started with the "Pig or Cow" thing!

  18. Also, Isn't it kind of contrived that the research would be mailed to Callie's residence? What ever happened to email, or, because of the gravity of the content, Fedex? To the hospital, not to Callie's home!Or a phone call or something! These people had an entire episode dedicated for tweeting their surgeries and solutions coming up in real time, then, a few years later, it's back to good old USPS?

  19. I'm annoyed they didn't add the pregnant storyline to last season. It would make Arizona's cheating SO MUCH SENSE! Argh!

Overall, this was a great ep. SOOOOO much better than the crapfest that was last week's ep. I hope the season start to pick up now.

  22. Best episode of the season by far and I have been enjoying the season so that's something. It really made me realize how much Grey's misses by having so many charactes and storylines per episode. This was a drama punched and that was possible due to the focus on this particular storyline. I loved it. Sara Ramirez killed it. The whole Arizona was pregnant thing felt a bit contrived though, I felt like it was there just to justify a bit what she did. Still doesn't do it for me, but the storyline was nice nonetheless.
