    Brilliant, loved it! Smith and Tennant played brilliantly off each other, could happily do with a whole series of just them two :DD Hurt was great with them too, played the (much) younger Doctor as their grumpy old dad XD

    They saved the Time Lords?!
    Shouldn't this affect how the 10th Doctor regenerates or would that happen just before this episode happened?
    I was expecting a lot more of the time war and was complaining about it being "crap", and I wish to take that ALL back. The ending alone... wow.

    I don't really know about the 10th regeneration. It was always said that Gallifrey was locked in time, so it stays true to the continuity. It is locked, no?

    Agree, loved it when he said "do you have to talk like children?", and the OMG to their "Allons-y" and "Geronimo". Matt and David were great together, I wouldn't mind more of that in the future :D

    Really enjoyed that, although I missed Nine...loved Christopher Eccelson. It was good to see Ten again even though I didn't like him as much as Nine. It was niceseeing Rose too but I missed Donna. The last scene between Tom Baker and Matt Smith was lovely...so sad about Sarah Jane.

    Moffat explained in the latest DWM that the metadoctor is also a regeneration used up. There's spoilers doing the rounds that because of that 11 thinks he is just going to die in the Xmas episode, and then the regeneration is a big surprise which will form part of the 8th series arc.

    It does tend to lean that way, but considering the Sisterhood took part in the regeneration from 8 to John Hurt's 9 (instead of Christopher Eccleston's 9), there may be some leeway. After all we don't know how their way of reviving people works. It may give him an additional regeneration. If he finds Gallifrey, I think the Time Lords are capable of giving additional regenerations as well. The Master had more regenerations than 13, first by finding a new body then by being resurrected by the Time Lords. So there is plenty of wiggle room for there to be extra regenerations. We also don't know how or where the Valeyard fits into the New Who. He may there partly to help the Doctor get more regenerations.

    Wow, that was excellent. I loved it so much!

    The core three doctors were brilliant and they clicked so well together. Also, 10th/11th are my new OTP. They were absolutely hilarious.

    The last five minutes were fantastic. Seeing 4th talking to 11th and the final scene with all the doctors together left me in shock. Brilliant.

    P.S. Did anyone else see 12th?!?! That was awesome.

    I love what it could mean for the rest of the series, could Capaldi's Doctor go searching for Gallifrey ? That would make a really interesting arc. Mostly I just loved the Doctors interacting, 10 and 11 were great but damn I love the War Doctor as well John Hurt did an amazing job.

    The first 7th doctors tried to stay away from Gallifrey, as far as possible, even being the Lord President 2 times (4th and 5th). Then came 8th, and the War Doctor "destroyed" Gallifrey, so there was no more Gallifrey to run from. And now, that there is one Gallifrey, he goes to search for it?? He truly is a Mad Man with a Box... xD

    The difference is for the first 7, home was always there if he did want to return. Then it was gone and for all intents and purposes it was gone for good; and at his hand. Now he knows his home and people are still there, lost. You can understand his urge to find it.

    End of time was set before him saving the planet, it is mentioned in the episode that the 'council' is having a meeting, this is the same time they set the plan to end time. 10th stops this plan before they change the end of the war.

    That was epic! So happy that we got to see the 10th again as well as Rose/Bad Wolf. The interactions between the Doctors were brilliant and so was John Hurt. It was an all around perfect anniversary episode.

    Just fabulous. It's a proper multi-doctor story, like anniversaries past, but this one really goes the extra mile. they 'fixed' the destruction of Gallifrey in the most satisfying way possible, with big emotional impact, and still in a way that won't change the past 8 years of continuity. What better birthday present for the Doctor than the hope and absolution that come from knowing he didn't destroy his own people after all, but actually saved them? And then when I'm already happy fit to burst, who do I see but Tom Baker... It was beautiful. Brilliant, perfect, and beautiful.

    I'm kinda dreading it, I think it's going to be pretty special but I'm so not ready for Matt to leave....although I am eager to see Peter in the role too. Regenerations are bitter sweet :( :) :(

    I liked the talk about how many children died (and then lived) of Gallifrey, the plight of crying children has been a constant message throughout Moffat's reign and now holds even more meaning when rewatching older episodes.


    Tom as a future Doctor visiting an older face and become a curator was just the icing on the cake wasn't it! :*beams*

    Don't get me wrong I did absolutely love it. Loved seeing DT and BP back on TV together but I just have this little feeling that it could have been better. It was great all the little references and quotes they chucked in but some were still to hard to watch like DT saying "I don't want to go". I didn't need to be reminded of that. John Hurt did make a great Doctor and I have to admit I actually like Matt Smith in this episode for a change. I'm going have to watch it again to take it all in as I think I was too excited watching it the first time around.
