  1. Sadness covers me like a blanket. Tuck me in and let me die.

  2. I do not know where to start was good the ending sucked they killed off the best gun in the whole series Richard Harrow that sucks. Gillian is in jail ha. Nucky would of shot Eli i think is his son did not come in the room. Now the long wait to next September starts.

  3. Sometimes I wish Boardwalk Empire was a comedy about gangsters instead of the tragic show that breaks my heart.

Ever since he turned up mid-S1 and became Jimmy's friend Richard has been my favourite character. I am devastated right now but not surprised. This has been a long time coming and when he found an moment of happiness with Julia and got married I knew he was not long for this world.

There had to be consequences to his actions, other characters may get away with murder and scheming but people like Nucky they don't have what Richard had and that was a sense of what is right and what is wrong. He felt the weight of those deaths and whilst he always killed the bad guys his final execution was that of an innocent.

He did it all to save the son of the his only friend. Good night Tin Man.

Bravo to Jack Huston for his performance and I hope he gets some recognition at last.

  5. Harrow has been my favorite character as well since he was introduced. I knew when he had that goodbye scene with Tommy that it was it, but I was still clinging to the hope that he'd survive..

  6. So sad to see my favorite current character go, but they way it was written was truly beautiful. I feel a little better about Boardwalk's ending philosophy, as unlike the Sopranos here we are actually shown "The Big Something" as Richard dies and "goes home".

Downvote me all you want, but I still don't buy that Jimmy is dead or that this reality is "right"...He gave the location of Jimmy's grave too freely along with the fact in the last episode we see a "staged" murder scene, which was my original thought at the end of season 2. The show is still asking and playing with "who" Nucky is and the fact that despite the lack of Jimmy in on screen, he is present and living through other characters in almost every scene of the series, but it's the belief of that death, the unearthing of alleged Jimmy's body that shakes Richard down, where he feels he can no longer pretend...but I still can.

I will miss Jack Huston greatly. Season five will feel weirder still. I hope he gets another gig on another show I love.

  7. I'm sad about Richard, but I'm in shocking to see Maybelle kill that way, poor girl. I like the finale, but season 5 will better because interesting things happening like:

    Narcisse cooperate with Hoover.
Chalky and the guilt about Maybelle death.
Nucky and his dilemma quit or not the mob business.
I like to see more of Margareth and Rosthein relationship.
Al Capone is now the "boss" and Eli move to Chicago make that part even more interesting.

  8. They never showed Richard die. All they showed him sitting on the beach, daydreaming.
