    OMG, the best episode by far even though our Beauty, Cat's, heart had to break into a thousand pieces, and our Knight Vincent was following Daddy Dearest's orders, but she always "has hope". I'm watching again on DVR #BATB #TurkeyTrauma

    Okay I have to admit I did like this episode on a lot of
    levels. Good writing, very intense, well-woven plot and I actually had an
    enjoyable hour. But I’m afraid I mean that as a standalone episode. It did
    nothing whatsoever to help rediscover the lost beastie in me. A lot of people convinced
    me to not give up on the show and VinCat just yet but I’m finding it really
    hard. I still hope the series makes it to a third season, though, whether I
    watch or not.
    Anyhow, getting to the episode. I get why Cat is haunted by
    the image of Vincent ripping out someone’s heart. It’s one thing to watch it on
    TVD or OUAT and another to watch your sort-of bf do it. I think brutality of
    killing does matter even if murder is murder.
    I am surprisingly not very unnerved by the kiss between
    Vincent and Tori but I do feel that Vincent didn’t have to go there, assuming
    he did it to intitiate a break-up with Cat. But if he actually has a beastly
    attraction to Tori then it might take a lot on the writers’ part to convince me
    that Vincent deserves to be Cat’s soulmate. As much as I’m enjoying Mr. Ryan’s
    portrayal of the apparently ‘improved’ Vincent 2.0, the soft corner I once had
    for the character is slowly ebbing away as the season is progressing, I don’t
    know why. Anyway, I do feel that they need a break from each other till Vincent
    remembers everything 100%. Cat’s love probably came across as a bit conditional
    in this episode but I agree with Reynolds that after a point, enough is enough.
    Cat sacrificed a lot, and I mean A LOT, for Vincent and lost memory is no
    excuse for being a total douche to her. I hope the writers don’t make Cat run
    back to Vincent. I’m sick of her being hurt so Vincent better earn her love
    this time. I won’t mind seeing him squirm a bit to earn JT’s trust either. I’m
    not particularly thrilled about how he treated his bff considering how much the
    latter gave up to protect him. Just for the record, I am not completely
    insensitive towards what Vincent has been subjected to in the three months he
    was gone but I am finding it a little tough to sympathise with him post
    “Hothead”.
    Best part of the episode? Finally we get JT&T. I melted
    like a marshmallow when they kissed. They need to hook up. With VinCat relationship
    taking such a cringe-worthy turn, this show could really use some romance!
    I am not freaked out about the ending because I know Vincent
    and Tori are going to survive the blast but I don’t know for how long my
    patience with Tori will last. Apparently, she isn’t leaving the show anytime
    soon. Not only is there no need for another character when justice isn’t being
    done to the ones we already know and love, but it’s also kind of disappointing
    to see how weak an actress Ms. Noyes is. And for someone who is getting attracted
    to Vincent, Tori has zero chemistry with him. Bad casting choice for the first
    time on the show.
    Also, I don’t do well with love triangles. They’re the most
    monotonous, unoriginal path a show can take when they can’t think of any
    hurdles to pose to a couple. VinCat are already so complex with their own inner
    emotions, Vincent’s lost memory and Cat’s struggle to accept Vincent’s darker
    side that I’m not sure if a love triangle is even needed to complicate things
    further, specially one that doesn’t involve either of their pasts.

    Great episode!! Even though that kiss between Vincent and Tori wasn't necessary imo. Neither could it threaten VinCat's relationship nor do i see a potential love interest for Vincent in Tori.
    It's just that it was even without the kiss pretty clear that they brought out the worst uhm,the beast in each other and personally i would have like it better if Vincent would have taken her 'under his wings' as a little beast sister like they did before when he didn't know about her beast side.

    You know, Vincent isn't working for me this season. Kissing Tori is the last thing on my mind and I don't even feel like judging him for it. I've lost my connection to the character long before that. And the worst part is I don't even realise when or why that happened.
    I do really like the promo for the next episode because it seems like VinCat will finally face the issues they should've dealt with before they got together again. But let's see if that translates into the episode. “Vincent and Catherine are destined”, “They’ll ultimately come back to each other”..so tired of these overused lines. I guess then VinCat shippers should straightaway watch the series finale ‘coz at this rate, I think that’s the only episode which will be dedicated to them. This season sounded so epic from all the interviews but it's so far been a letdown for me. Only the first three episodes were 'achingly romantic', then it was just ache for me as a fan and no romance.
    I've myself been a fan of TVD for it's first three seasons and I can draw comparisons between the shows. Mostly, I was a huge Stelena shipper and I saw a lot of their epic qualities in VinCat, which is what drew me to the show in the first place. So I can't complain there.

    You know I'm a Stelena fan also :) 'cause they were like so cute together. I don't like Paul but Ian OMG he is hot! but Delena is no EPIC for me...
    And for BATB we have the same thoughts... people say that the writters can't give everything we (the fans) want but all the vampire fans want Delena and they got it... we want more VinCat scenes but I mean real scenes just like you said “Vincent and Catherine are destined”, “They’ll ultimately come back to each other” but we never see that since the episode 5 I guess I'm not sure :S I really hope the this show gets better because I really really liked last season t was SOOO GOOOOD even the main characters were together after mid-season...

    Awesome ep! Am still hanging on to VinCat but I didn't like how Vincent had to push away Catherine by kissing Tori???!!!! I feel like it's the worst betrayal a man can do to his girlfriend!! It rips my heart when I empathize with Catherine... But it rips my heart more to see VinCat go in separate ways.. Writers should find a way to bring the romance and the thrill of the season without keeping VinCat apart.. Complications for a few episodes between VinCat is okay, but not a love triangle PLEASE.. I don't think we beasties can handle that.

    EXACTLY!! something similar is happening to me too, I just can't connect to Vincent, not because Jay isn't doing a good job, but because the writing on his character makes no sense to me, I mean he is aware of his situation now, he even recalled when they took him in the net, but still he keeps doing his duty!!, WHY??!!, i thought his reaction would be crazy, that he would be dying to find out what that life he had before was, but no, his actions seem to be more like if he's just pretending to want to know what's going on to get into Cat's pants, that would be main complain, but there is also the new romance between J.T. and Tess, that's fine I liked it, but when did they explain to us what happened to J.T.'s girlfriend??. I mean, it might be just me, but I find this season full of senseless stuff.

    I have faith in Vincent I think that one kiss was bad enough but, I don't think he's going there again that's because he was torn by what daddy dearest had threaten him with, I think Tori will be someone he tries to help, you know from the other redhead Vince try's to do the right thing:)

    I was wondering the same thing! What happened to Sara (I think that was her name, JT's girlfriend) This season is not working for me... I missed the old Vincent because he was like so cute and sweet and now is like a "bad guy"... Don't like it...

    I completly agree. I see that Vincents beast side is what was drawn, not atracted to Tories beast side. It is a animal reaction to continue the species, animals dont think or feel. This why Vincent told her to away. He also was truly protecting Cat not only to him not being able to control his reactions but also from her fathers threat if turning her in. I think Vincent is a victim and has been all S2 but still trying di hard to have the life he desperatly wants. His live was so strong he knew he had to give her up for now so he could figure things out before they can come back together. Absolutly lived this episode. Bravo BatB writers, can't wait for the next one.

    I think the kiss was only animal reaction not attraction. You know survival of the species. His human side will resist now that he knows. The animal side doesnt think or feel it just reacts. Just like he reacted to pull oht the heart his animal side jyst reacts around Tori.

    Exactly, we definetly see eye to eye, he's so full of self loathing and anguish he is still a victim, he's struggling between being man or beast, you're right all he is feeling for Tori is his beastly side, he doesn't have his memories back yet but he clearly feels all of Cat in his heart, Tori not so much!!

    Aww, I'm so happy to meet a fellow Stelena-shipper! I love Paul and Ian both. Such amazing human beings, and together they're a laughter riot! Oh I don't understand Delena at all and the love triangle was one of the main reasons I quit that show (Listening BATB writers?)
    I know right, about BATB? It's okay if the writers don't want to push them together already. In fact, I'm in for that idea since they're clearly not ready for the relationship they had in season 1. But I can't excuse the missing the chemistry, tension and connection between them. This isn't the first show I've seen that's dealt with memory loss separating a couple. I've seen how hollow and incomplete those characters are, how they feel something is missing in their life and they struggle to figure out what. I don't see that in Vincent. I don't see him getting attracted to Catherine again. I don't believe he can fall in love with her again from what I see of him now.
    I liked Evan actually. Lol! His feelings for Cat seemed genuine and believable, and not forced, unlike Gabe's.

    No, the very fact that Vincent doesn't even seem like a shadow of what he was last season shows that Mr. Ryan is doing an impeccable job. I blame the writing, I only blame the writing of this season for losing every quality season 1 had. I mentioned somehow, I don't know Vincent anymore. He doesn't seem to care at all, no compassion, nothing. I feel cold every time I see him on screen. He's just someone who shares the same name as the character I loved last year.
    I wondered what happened to Sara too but I quickly moved past that thought seeing bigger loopholes and continuity errors through this season. A lot of questions have been left unanswered and from the looks of it, that's how it'll be.

    amazing episode heartstopping and heartbreaking! with some good laugh out louds and sweet scene for JT n Tess (OMG)
    Really hope after next week we can finally start to get our Vincat back on track its just too much at the moment.I still like Tori and feel she has a lot to offer,10/10 and special kudos to Bob Reynolds who manipulated everyone in this episode but I feel he is gonna get a massive confrontation with V in the lot too distant future ...need the hiatus to recover from 8 wonderful episodes,,,if u dont watch this show use the holidays to catch up via CW and give the rest of the season the fair chance it really does deserve forget any reservations you had cos of Season 1 its nothing like that now x

    I agree! I just hope Vincent recovers ALL his memories at the end of the mid-season finale. That would make the long 6 week wait tolerable. Imagine the hurt and guilt V will feel once he realises the pain he has put the love of his life through :(

    The VinCat seperation HAD to happen! I agree, it could have been done without the Tori kiss.
    But Vincent and Cat can now start their journey back to each other, and it gives me hope that the old chemistry will return!

    I know people are upset about the 'kiss' but I have to admit that have had the time to let the episode marinade in my head - I get it. I realised a few things I had forgotten at the time of viewing this episode. He knew she was there - I had to watch the scene again to see that. Vincent's only concern is keeping Cat safe. He knows he is out of control and that bio dad had threatened her. We know Cat forgives him a lot and always comes back - the only way to sever their tie was to be brutal. He wanted her to hate him so that she could walk away and not come back. I did not get this last night because my emotions were in the way. Logic reared it's ugly head this morning and I have to say as much as I hate the method, I get it. It will be exciting watching Vincent crawl from this moment on.

    This was my fave ep of the season. Hands down. I loved it as much as I hated it but it have me everything: the romance, the comedy, JT, Tess not being anti-V. Team Beastie in full effect and LESS GABE! Which is crucial.

    I keep seeing and hearing people say it was his beast side drawn to Tori and he couldn't help himself from several people now & are so quick to forgive, but how are people all going to feel when & if they go there when he can't control himself & sleeps with her because right now I don't trust the writers. Everyone is happy & almost celebrating that they broke up & they understand & yada, yada, yada. But will everyone be happy then? I could've handled things a little better if the situation had been reversed. I wish it had been Catherine to have someone instead of Vincent AGAIN! It felt like deja-vu all over again! What I saw was Vincent kissing another redhead who is a dead ringer for Alex while poor Cat had to witness it! Couldn't they have come up with something different! Or good grief picked a blonde or a brunette! And for Pete's sake a better actress because she is cringe worthy. The thought that she is sticking around & possibly going to be a regular makes me ill! It's suppose to be about Cat & Vincent, but all I've hear & read lately are articles & interviews about tori & HER journey & how SHE'S going to deal with being a beast & how she & Vincent share something Cat will never understand. We get it she's a beast you don't have to beat us over the head with it. I don't want to see her journey! She can take it on the road! I want to get back to our main characters, not have a horrible actress suck up all the airtime from the others! Sorry this rant was not directed at you! I just saw your comment beast & animal drawn to each other & it caught my eye so I just happen to post it here.=) I just want to get back to the couple & characters I fell in love with. I miss that.

    Last episode was brilliant ! I loved it and I hated it. Definitely a game changer :
    - Fun and drama were perfectly balanced. Minimal action scenes.
    - Bad dad stole the show. Ted Whittal is really good . Most interesting character right now .
    - The handsome Riley Smith should have been perfect as Cat new love interest. More than Mr. G
    everybodylovesme . Just sayin'..
    - VinCat breakup : thank you ! They were so annoying and disappointing in last episodes that it was
    time to move forward. Hopefully VinCat 1.0 ( the real ones) will be back before the end of S2 but I 'm not holding my breath waiting for the moment. Both characters got lost somewhere along the way. They lost that special "something" that made them charming and lovable . I feel totally disenchanted.
    - The animal-kiss was a wakeup call for Cat . Being a 2nd choice is unfair , being a 3.rd wheel in unacceptable. Man or Beast he can't resist a red head . At some point enough is enough. Hope she won't turn back soon (!) Time for self-discovery and a real man. Vincent 2.0 is just an animal. Perfect for Alex , oops Tori. They belong together.
    - So , JT&T are the new item in town ? Cute kisses ! Well played JT.
    - Last question : where's my flying turkey ? I feel cheated

    Fantastic episode, my favourite so far!!! I loved it for many reasons and I was blown away by the whole episode. Not one dull moment, I was hooked from beginning to end! !!! Well done to the writers and cast S2 simply rocks in my opinion! !!! I loved S1 but S2 is outstanding! !!!
    Cannot wait for next Monday, im nervous, anxious and impatiently waiting how the mid-season finale is going to go????.
    Hope they will not leave us hanging with a cliff hanger. ..6weeks is too long to wait! !!!!!!!!!!!

    I agree with you too a certain point but I am worried that if Vincent will become more beast then man Cat has no other choice then really walk away. I hope that Vincetn gets his full memory back and realise what he can loose.

    Thank you! As hard as I am trying, I cannot understand the defenses and justifications being given for Vincent but I appreciate that they haven't given up on the character just yet. And I know that if the writers convincingly redeem him this time, I will have it in me to forgive him. But like you, even I don't trust them right now. Trust has to be earned and BatB writers have failed to do that for me this season. For now, I can't make any more excuses and justify everything Vincent is doing. I didn't talk much about the kiss since I never gave it much thought but since it seems to be the hot topic of discussion here, let me mention that even if it was an animal instinct or a beastly attraction, it doesn't make it right or something not to be condemned. Of course, I'm hoping for the best case scenario that Vincent did it to break up with Catherine but that hasn't been revealed yet. I don't know where that assumption is coming from that Vincent heard Cat's heartbeat before kissing Tori. I watched that cringe-worthy scene again just to see if I had missed that but I hadn't.
    As for Tori being shoved down our throats, I guess we just need to deal with it till our patience can endure. The only thing I'm looking forward to post winter-hiatus now is Elisabeth Rohm's arc and uncovering Cat's past. Not even curious about what path VinCat will take.

    I liked the episode. Parts of it were hard to watch like the Tori stuff
    and Bob manipulation stuff, but I'm not mad at Vincent. I feel like
    the writers showed he heard Cat's heartbeat so he knew he was
    approaching right before he let Tori kiss him and that's why he let Tori
    kiss him. Plus, see the way he didn't pull away immediately when he saw
    Cat, but made sure to slowly turn and look at her while still kissing
    Tori to make sure she saw. That isn't a normal oh crap I got caught
    reaction. He then responded with a cover story so she would believe he
    has been accidentally caught in the act Ben though he did it on purpose.
    It isn't cheating to me because he did it knowing Cat was watching to
    get her to leave him. And he knew he had to sacrifice his relationship
    to help Cat bc Bob was going to turn her in if he didn't disappear out
    of her life. and let's be honest Cat would be her strong we can fight
    this together if he was just like I am running your life so I am
    disappearing out of your life. He had to break her heart so she wouldn't
    come after him. I get it and he did it for her not because he had
    feelings for story. I don't get the Vincent outrage. He didnt cheat! He
    kissed Tori bc of Cat not feelings for Tori! His character is taking a
    dark turn and I prefer the reluctant vigilante of season 1 with season 2
    V confidence, but I feel like it ends next episode. Everyone see this
    arc out. It ends in one episode and try to understand the character's
    motivations. And where is the Vincent sympathy? I get it is hard to see
    Cat hurting but I think the arc after this next episode will be about
    her focusing on her stuff and not getting shafted as much. Vincent was
    brainwashed and turned into this against his will! Bob stole and
    kidnapped and bran washed the love of his daughter's life! And prob
    killed her bio dad since he was run over! Where is the Bob outrage?! He
    doesn't even have beast DNA and is worst than Vincent manipulating them
    all albeit to protect Cat. She was better off with V before he
    intervened though! And where is the Gabe outrage? Gabe threw Cat and V
    around and tried to kill Cat and yet he is cool now and V is the devil?!
    Gabe's character wasn't hurt beyond repair?! Ugh I hate when people say
    someone's character is damaged beyond repair. All the comments on
    twitter and here are so negative and I feel short-sighted. No offense.
    Yes I agree Vincat are off but I also think that is the point! V still
    doesn't remember being in love with C or wanting her all those ten
    years! Give it time. You know Jr and KK still have the chemistry. We
    still see it. It's just not the same bc they are in a rough patch. I'm
    okay with them taking a break but the character hate needs to stop IMO.
    They will figure stuff out and come back together. Again, I don't get
    the Vincent outrage. He didnt cheat! He kissed Tori bc of Cat not
    feelings for Tori. I'm not mad at him. It wasn't a real kiss or cheating
    bc of that! People do that all the time in shows, too! It's to hurt
    someone so they will finally let you go! And Cat is strong to me because
    she is making the most out of a bad situation and is fighting for their
    future and love. I'm okay with her taking a break but she isn't weak bc
    she realizes V's brain and memory and self control were fed with. It
    isn't his fault! He didn't ask for it! And Cat is being sympathetic and staying by her man bc she thinks of them as "married" not just some relationship where you bail when times get hard. The writers said they thnk about how they would react if their husband was turned into something he hated and couldn't control! V doesnt want to be like this! Cat isnt weak for being sympathetic to him being forced to be out of control! He was turned into this against his will!

    Agent Reynolds was AWESOME this episode. I wanted to punch him in the face so badly and I love it when actors can make me feel like that. I'm very surprised at the reactions of the fans because I figured that there would be a lot of upset people due to the Vincent Tori kiss. But I've read so many comments where this has been the best episode this season so that makes me feel so much better.

    Awesome Beauty and the Beast episode jammed packed with explosions and emotions! Daddy Reynolds stole the show with his masterful manipulations ... it I didn't know he was lying I would have believed the SOB. Also kudos to Gabe for always sticking up for Vincent even when he has strong feelings for Catherine and loved his facial expression when Tori beasted out ... priceless! Great job to the #BatB writers, cast, and crew on delivering another excellent show.

    I am liking this season MUCH better than last year, but still the chemistry is not there between Cat and Vincent for me..I see more with Tess and JT.

    When I said I dind't like Paul I just mean that for me he is not hot :S lol but they are like my favorite bromance on tv after Dean and Sam :)... You're right Vincent doesn't make thing to get his memories back it's kind of annoying... Yeah I don't like the "feelings" that Gabe has for Cat... I'm not enjoying the show right now but I really don't want it to be cancel :S the rating were too low again :'(

    Really? I do find him hot. Lol! The bromance was amazing, I shipped them so much but sadly, I saw the love triangle overpowering it and I didn't like it. I can never accept a girl breaking up two brothers who love each other so much!
    I've never cared much about ratings as long as I'm enjoying the show. But right now I am not enjoying the show AND the ratings are making me cringe. What has this show done to me? The ratings were never too great to begin with the the show failed to retain the total viewers. Taken 0.90m viewers isn't great but it's better than not getting even 0.70m. BatB is treading on very thin ice right now because like Lilith mentioned in her review, VinCat relationship is become borderline abusive, and I worry when I see people denying or excusing this in the name of Vincent being amnesiac and abducted and yadada. And what's hilarious is how people are blaming the fans for being disloyal to the show and how they were never 'true' beasties. Since when are viewers to blame if the writers are ruining everything we loved about the show? Time and emotions are precious and I can't blame if people don't want to invest that in a show that doesn't deliver what it promised.
    I don't want to cancelled either :'(

    Thank you! Is being a true beastie about liking every aspect of the show? Do fans have no right to get upset when things are so messed up and there is no way out? In fact, I've seen fans being the most critical of the shows they love. They don't criticise because they hate the show. They criticise because they love it and want it to be good and make sense. For Batb, I want it to be something I look back upon and remember 10 years from now that yes, this show made me believe in true love. But right now, all it's telling me is what true love shouldn't look like. I can't pretend to like something I abhor. I call a spade a spade and I don't want to be a true beastie if that means I cannot point out what is going wrong in a show.

    The whole fling with Gabriella was an issue for me because it completely changed Vincent's character from S1. He was shown to be so committed to Alex that even if they'd broken off for a bit (which itself isn't very believable), I wouldn't take him as the kind of guy who would have a fling. Now, if something similar had been shown for Cat, I would've been equally condemning but I would've believed it because she was shown to be the kind of girl who jumped from one guy to another before Vincent came and brought some stability in her life.
    As far as the memory thing goes, some people chalked up the theory that the more emotionally attached Vincent is to a memory, the more difficult it is for him to recall it. It's a little absurd but the best one I've heard so far. Personally, I'll say it's bad storytelling. Not only Cat and Gabriella, he even remembered Zach easily but has not had a single memory yet with JT, which I think is extremely sad.

    Honestly, I'm really looking for BATB fans so that would be fine! Monday's gonna determine whether I stick with the show or not as well. If they go with the beast on beast thing then I'm done. I've heard a spoiler though that it won't be the case so I'm hopeful! I don't want to give up the show because it is my favorite & I love the couple. I just hope they can get the show back on track. The writers have said they plan to do that. I guess we'll wait & see!

    True. I'm actually not giving Vincent an option to choose is beast side because that means choosing Tori over Cat. And that's kind of sad because I really thought the beast in Vincent also loved Cat. Well I digress. If Vincent makes Cat his second choice again, VinCat are over for me because I morally cannot stay loyal to that kind of a couple. But I will stick around to see how Cat's 'Who am I?' plays out in the second half of the season. I am curious about her past and I've honestly missed her a lot on the show. Post "Liar Liar", Kristin Kreuk has been wasted in every episode.

    Ha, so people tell me! But honestly, I don't get much time. I am a follower of Revenge and Scandal and I haven't even had a chance to glance at their third seasons. So you see why I'm even more frustrated with BatB? It's painstaking to take out 45 minutes to watch an episode and then even more to rant over it.
    But I do wish to watch SPN one day. I don't know when but hopefully someday!

    Well for those who say that the people are not a "true" beastie wtf? I never think of myself as a beastie I really liked the show but I don't feel like I'm a beastie. But that is nothing to do with this because if you really don't like something you can't stay in that I mean you have to accept the true. Example I'm a little monster and sometimes I don't like the songs of Gaga (like Dope lol) but that doesn't mean that I'm not a "true" little monster! This people really upset me ¬¬... By the way Paul/Stephan is a great actor :)

In 1 season you just thing that he was only with Alex and now he was with this girl who actually made him remembered the time that he expend with her and he doesn't remember that kind of things with Catherine :S it doesn't make sense for me...
