I liked the scene where Vincent and JT were watching sports and swapping food bowls. lol
I think Tess and Gabe would make a good couple. I liked their scenes tonight, the banter.
I can't wait for Vincent to remember more about his past with Catherine, for Catherine to face her father, and for her to find out he's Vincent's boss.
I like the serie but I didn't like this episode so much... And the reason is Gabe I'm kind of sick with him is so stalker... What I really liked was JT and Vincent's scenes...
I haven't been disappointed in this show yet, again another awesome episode,I kept waiting for what some fans perceived as Vincent betraying Cat I just didn't see that everything he did when he was in the service was a whole life time ago, he and Cat are destined to be together I'm just so looking foreword till when they are as solid as ever, we all know Gabe doesn't have a chance he needs to get over her already!!! Total awesome show!!!
Tess and Gabe should a couple they have good chemistry ...let's not waste Gabe in a stupid triangle. I am soooo happy JT was back....man we need JT on ever episode.
Zach...yeah he was upto no good and V trying to see the good in him....damn snap his name..good!!!!
I do like Agent Reynolds even if he is up to noooo good...
what are they doing with the dead beasts anyways ?
Another great episode, action/fighting scenes were awesome, loved the way V was protective over Cat, JT!! Hope to see even more of him! Don't like Tess shipping for Gabe/Cat, but would like to see V a little jealous. More VINCAT romance plse! :) Would definitely like more JT & T and less Gabe. Would be interesting to see next episode- and how Cat is going to handle the Agent Reynolds aka her real father scenario.
Loving season 2. More Vincat would be great and if Gabe could run away he gives me the cold shivers for some reason. But love this show, the cast and crew are amazing. #BatB
Ok so I have another theory! The Gabe liking Cat thing is really bugging me but there was someone who said something about these beasts being attracted/pulled to Cat for some reason. Well I think that Gabe's beast side is coming back and the closer it is to coming back, the more he is attracted or pulled to Cat. Because the producers said that they weren't gonna do the whole love triangle thing between Cat, Vincent, and Gabe. And before, Gabe really wanted to help Cat & Vincent and now Gabe acts like he doesn't really like Vincent anymore.
Love the signs of old Vin, tryng to help without killing, not the right one but he at least tried. JT seeing right through Zach, loved his looks at Zach. There were lots of milestones tonight and a lot to build on. Poor Cat just csnt find a break this season though but i am loving the pase of each episode. Vin sure seems like he questioned Gabe at the end, do you think he knows that he like Cat, spidey senses coming through.
As much as I love this show, and I do love it, I watch it religiously, I have some concerns. There seems to be just a little too much attention on Cat. This show is not called "Catherine". I really really wanted to see more of Vincent and JT.
In this new season is has showed several scenes of Vincent attempting to reconnect to Cat, but nothing with JT. JT has been protecting him for 11 years, he is Vincent's best friend.
I realize Cat is "going through a lot of stuff" like they love to mention in this new season but JT hasn't had the best 3 months either. Vincent, his best friend, who JT has given up and dedicated his life to protecting has reappeared and has no memory of him. How sad!
And tonight's episode was a perfect set up to mend their broken relationship. That scene where they are watching a game together was so poorly done, not a word was spoken. I feel like the writers had such an opportunity and they missed it! I just want a meaningful conversation between JT and Vincent where Cat is not mentioned. It was JT and Vincent LONG before there was a Vincent and Catherine.
I'm just saying, a little less Catherine and a little more JT.
Not my favorite, liked the character development better last week, just didn't quite flow this week as well as I liked.. was ok but just didn't make sense! The Zach/Vincent time line did not flow! They knew each other before they went to Afganistan? But Vincent didn't know Zach was with Gabriella? They met in Afiganistan? Doesn't make sense? Then Zach found out that Gabriella like Vincent and he found out in Afganistan but didn't do anything then? just didn't seem to fit!
I felt the same way. It didn't make sense kinda like last week with Aaron noting remembering Vincent and Aaron's age. Let's talk about Cat's reunion. How old is she? Have they ever actually said. It's her 10 year reunion wouldn't she be like 28? And how old is Vincent I wonder to have done ALL the things he's done. Fireman, doctor, solider?
I completely agree with you too! I'm tired of JT being pushed aside and hope this will be addressed! Gabe is getting more screen time than JT and I don't like that. We only get to see him when they need something to be analyzed! I would've loved to have seen more conversation with Vincent & JT. He must've told him about Alex because Vincent brought it up at the bar, but yet we missed that whole conversation. The one good thing I can say is that Vincent does seem to trust JT now because he was asking him what happened with Zack and was really listening & believed him. I just hope we have more of them in the coming episodes.
This was a good episode! And an amazing S2! Felt sad for V! Tess pushing Gabe too much regarding Catherine..he still can not be trusted! Love the fact that V understand all the sacrifices C makes for him/them!
Not my fave ep as well ~ I blame Gabe!!! Cat pushing Vincent away after they reconnected last week seems uncharacteristically flippant and I hope this is the last of her "me time." Also this episode marks the end of my tolerance for Gabe with his Cat crush confession and stealing a Vincat moment at the end. I so want Vincent to kick his ass now! Can't wait for next week's episode yeahhh!!
Maybe it’s just me but I was really put off by this week’s episode. I found the beast-of-the-week plot extremely juvenile, even though I enjoyed watching Zach as a character. But the whole V-stole-my-girl-and-I’ll-steal-his thing made me yawn. If at all they wanted to bring out Vincent’s past, they could’ve used another method instead of a vengeful army buddy. It didn’t make much sense to me and I found it really hard to connect with. Especially considering how quickly V was okay with the fact that Zach tried to kill Cat.
I liked Cat’s story this week, her need for some girl time and an insight into the girl she used to be 10 years ago. But I do feel that the way she found out about her father wasn’t intense enough. I was hoping for more. But it was the last scene so I guess I’ll give it till next week to see the build up on their confrontation.
Till I have hints otherwise, I see no reason to doubt Gabe’s intentions right now. Unless proven wrong later, I’d like to think Gabe is genuine and I actually find his schoolboy crush on Cat pretty cute though I wouldn’t really like a love traingle involving Gabe because viewers know him far too well for that. I actually thought we’d probably get one of Cat’s ex at her reunion.
All in all, I think for the first time since Alex’s arc I’m feeling let down by the writers on VinCat front. Despite his amnesia, the epic quality of VinCat’s love was so evident in the premiere of season 2 evn when he was being a complete jerk. But each week it’s been diminishing even though V’s memory and trust for Cat is coming back. I think they don’t show enough affection towards each other for two people who’re so in love. Fine, V doesn’t remember the love part even now but he does feel that intense attraction to Cat. Somehow it doesn’t translate on screen. It’s left for us to interpret because of what we saw in season 1. And it isn’t even just this episode, I think this is been a built up in me because somewhere I’m still peeved about how quickly they moved away from the shove issue.
I voted just good anyway inspite the fact that im not feeling good i'm having negative vibes bout the whole of #batb #reunion ,Cat & Gabe closeness, his bio dad,...., her annoying friend/friends, weird past or memories of Vincent and last i'm starting to doubt V feelings for Cat yet, why i don't know why. And now scared for the next ep. for Cat. Enough trouble please.
I loved it. Im loving the pace and edginess of how the episodes are progressing. I love the idea of seeing new & interesting characters that are appearing in each episode. The fight scene between Vincent & Zack was amazing, loved how we got to know more about VinCat's pasts...well done to the writers. These season is mind blowing. Just wished we had more VinCat moments and episodes were longer♥♥♥♥ #BatB
Loved it, as always. Pleased to see that Catherine is so close to finding out who her biological father is. I think there will be some interesting times ahead for them but wait until they learn that he's the one who has Vincent on this mission! I like how Vincent is so protective of Catherine and knows she's important to him, even though he doesn't remember everything yet. The scene with Vincent and JT (presumably) watching television and swapping snack bowls was nice, kind of how they used to be. Getting a little tired of all these new beasts that keep popping up though and hope it doesn't continue much longer. At least not every episode. I'm wondering what happens after all the beasts on this list Reynolds has are killed. Does he intend to let Vincent live? Or how does he plan to kill him?
They are such good actors that you forgive almost everything. Even the flashback Vincent had about another girl. But it would be nice for JT to be remembered by Vincent, I guess. But when they were watching TV and switched the chips bowls - that was probably how they used to do it.
In some ways I agree, more JT would be nice, his only real friend for 10 years was V and now he doesn't even have him (right now). But I kinda understand that V doesn't have any memories of him yet and is uncontrolably pulled to Cat, not JT (which is a good thing ;) hehe) so wanting to hang with JT wouldn't be his first choice. I did find it rather funny that Cat told V to go hang with JT and dispite his "come on" he did what he was told. Personally, I liked the scene. I thought it had a 'like old times' feel to it. Guys bond differently than girls, IMO, so I thought the scene was a perfect start. Once they, more so V, gets more comfortable with JT, I think the talking will come. But to expect V to go over and they start sharing their warm fuzzy feelings would be unrealistic. JMO.
Rewatching to see if I can find answers to some of the holes I feel where there. Little shakey on the time frame of Vincent/Zach knowing each other and it was a little fuzzy. Liked what Vincent said to Catherine at the end but it just wasn't as touching as last week for some reason. but hanging in there!
As a whole, I loved the ep. The fight scenes were some of my favourite. Vincent coming to Cat's window for a booty call, her turning him away, leaving him with the kicked puppy look. So cute!! lol The V & JT scenes we much needed and fingers crossed they become more frequent and longer. I love protective Vincent! Him coming to her house, racing out the door as soon as he heard! *swoon* JT managed to get in TWO zingers in one scene! "No, we're not all friends here" & "you gotta talk faster"! LOL It's very promising to me that V is obviously trusting JT now, since he was discussing Zach with him and relying on JT to tell him what really happened. What's also promising for the old V resurfacing is not directly following orders. The programmed V would have just went and killed Zach, but he didn't. He wanted to reason and talk to him first. That's the V we know and love from S1!! :)
What I didn't like was the whole 'you took my girl' story line. I have a hard time believing that whole thing. So I'm to believe now that V broke up with Alex, hooked up with Gabriella for a few weeks, then got re-engaged to Alex, when in S1 they sold me on how much in love V & Alex were? But he threw it away for some fling? No. Too out of character for me to buy it. Especially when they drove the fact that Vincent "always does the right thing"that is after all what we were to take away from the whole Alex fiasco right? How would any of that be the right thing?! I hope they explain this at some point. And while that flashback of him and "her" was kinda hot (after seeing Jay in a few different things now, I think he would have chemistry with a brick wall) lol, I feel kinda gipped because I'd rather it have been a make out scene with him and Cat! Although his confession to her at the end was pretty sweet. Anyway, like I said overall I loved it, just not some pieces. Can't wait for next week!! :)
They should have left Gabe dead...he is responsible for everything that happened to Vincent..and will never be a good guy..the writers should stop trying to make him one. Leopards don't change their spots.
that is clearly what the show is lacking this season..romance and that is why it is losing viewers..Writers...take notice...everyone wants VinCat love.
I feel like the writers are forcing Gabe down our throats and right into a predictable love story with Cat . Odd , because actually I found Tess and Gabe interactions much more interesting and seducing than Gabcat / Catgab ( do they have a nickname ? ) / or the annoyed Vincat . Exploring their relationship should be fun to watch. JT&T could be fun as well but not really hot. Right now JT role has been heavily cutted.
I voted for "Good" in this episode. I would had voted for "Awesome" but I didn't because of Gabe. I hated to see him around Cat all the time, and she smiling back at him. Doesn't she remember he tried to kill Vincent and that he is the reason poor Vincent was turned into an insensitive supersoldier????? I hated the last scene with Cat&Gabe. It should had been a Vincet&Cat ending scene. Gabe is not good. JT is a good friend, no Gabe. He needs to go,
Agree. Gabe is a creepy stalker. He told Vincent he was going to keep an eye on Cat. Hello?? Cat doesn't need you Gabe, she has Vincent to keep an eye on her,
Maybe her memory was wiped clean. Like Vincent. She doesn't know she's the Beauty who has to fall in love with the Beast. The writers didn't tell her. :-)
Once again, another great show. Love the dynamic of different relationships being explored ONLY to prove in the end that VinCat will come out on top. If they've proven their love before, they can surely do it again. Was slightly confused on the whole Gabriella storyline, but again, drama has to happen to prove that VinCat can become closer and move forward, not backward. And in a way, this is good insight to how Vincent's character has evolved from playboy (of sorts) to settled down. Love the action sequences, and especially love how Cat is starting to question everything about her "father"
Awesome Awesome awesome as always!!!!!! #Batb is the best show ever!! Reunion was a great episode as always, you can't stop watch this show!!! it is amazing!!!!
My favorite scene - Vincent killing Zack - I'm morbid I know :P Vincent made a promise to Catherine that the other beast would not hurt her again - he kept that promise :D With Catherine's realizing the Agent Reynolds might be her real dad I think we are now going to get more of her past. Getting the back stories is great - gives the characters more depth.
Not the best writing I've seen on this show, but they can't all be winners. Still love the premise of this show. There's nothing out there right now like BATB. Frankly, I'm tired of watching vampires,(past that phase in my life), but still love fantasy and romance.
You have some really good points, and I agree. The problem I have is that it isn't showing their scenes together. They are obviously having conversations, that was evident in this past episode. I just want them to show that despite Vincent not knowing JT, that he is making an effort to. Like he is with Catherine. That's all I want. I miss their friendship. JT deserves to have his friend, who he has given up his life for, to remember all he has done for him. Just like Vincent is remembering all Cat has done for him (if you recall he tells her that in this past episode).
Gabe is getting more airtime! what's up with that?! I want JT. He is more important to the fans than the writers think he is. We would never ask for more Gabe and less JT.
And you're right, he is there only to serve as the guy who does things for everyone. I would love a JT centered episode where we learn how they met... and how they stayed friends for so long.
DaniK totally agree with your great write up. Exactly how I am feeling about the Beauty and the Beast "Reunion" episode and you wrote it so much better than I could. This episode isn't a favorite of mine but maybe it is because it came right after "Hothead" which was so great that it will be hard to beat. Any way still so looking forward to next weeks episode and I will be a BatB fan for life!
This last episode was good, but not as good as the others. The Hothead episode was great and inspiring. The Reunion episode had some things that did not make sense.Catherine almost gets killed, and Vincent is pretty cold,no kiss or anything.Come on writers, make the show make sense. In the end,it is Beauty and the Beast.
It was the best episode till now for me. It had more action and more things that we wants to know like Vincent's past, about Cat's father. I'm curious about what he does exactly. What does he have to do with Muirfield's experiements exactly. What does he know ? I like the romance in the show but I think too much is annoying (it's my opinion, ok ?). I'm seeing many people saying that Gabe shouldn't express his feeling for Cat and that the character is bad. I don't think so. We know that the main characters love each other, etc but create some competition between them is good too. It gives a breath to the story. I think the writers should concentrate now in tell us what really happened with Vincent, give us the details about how he survived, how did he return to USA, how JT help, etc. About Cat's mother, what about her secrets, we know she have a lot but we don't know the details. Tess should have a better presence in the story, she knows about Vincent but pretends that she don't (??). Exist many things in the show that the authors could work that is missing. I love the show, I really do but the last episode for me was the best because it seemed they started to answer some of these questions. I repeat: the romance in the show is amazing but it can't be the only thing. That they each other, this I already know. What interest me now is the other things that I don't know. You will all kill me for saying this but I think that one of reasons of the bad ratings is because the show it's too "pink" (for women) and this cannot be. Even being a woman I miss 'male stuff ' for exemple more action. They are cops so where are the investigations, etc. Anyway ..it's just an opinion.
Yes,Gabe could run away.He brings nothing to the show.I wish they would show more of J.T.Maybe they will later.Vincent and him together is very interesting as best friends.I also liked Catherine and Tess as partners.I do love the show and most of the actors though.
I think most of us fans agree,we are sick of Gabe already. It is creepy how he almost stalks Catherine.Vincent should always be in the ending scene with Catherine,it is after all Beauty and the Beast.
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.
No surprise trusting Zach was a bad idea.
ReplyDeleteI liked the scene where Vincent and JT were watching sports and swapping food bowls. lol
I think Tess and Gabe would make a good couple. I liked their scenes tonight, the banter.

it was cool to see that Vincent wasn't that innocent, and about Zach... I must admit I didn't see that coming, it was a nice twist though.
ReplyDeletetotally agree! needs more INTENSE romance hahahaha
ReplyDeleteAnother great episode, action/fighting scenes were awesome, loved the way V was protective over Cat, JT!!
ReplyDeleteI loved the scene where Vincent and JT swap snacks without a word or a glance like it's an old habit that Vincent remembered out of muscle memory. :D
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm liking the Tess/Gabe dynamic as well. His focus on Cat cannot end well.
Loving season 2. More Vincat would be great and if Gabe could run away he gives me the cold shivers for some reason. But love this show, the cast and crew are amazing. #BatB

What's also promising for the old V resurfacing is not directly following orders. The programmed V would have just went and killed Zach, but he didn't. He wanted to reason and talk to him first. That's the V we know and love from S1!! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat I didn't like was the whole 'you took my girl' story line. :)
Why is Gabe even in this show...he doesn't do his job ...all he does is stalk Cat...it's creepy...he's creepy...I hope Vincent cleans his clock...
ReplyDeleteThey should have left Gabe dead...he is responsible for everything that happened to Vincent..and will never be a good guy..the writers should stop trying to make him one. Leopards don't change their spots.
ReplyDeletethat is clearly what the show is lacking this season..romance and that is why it is losing viewers..Writers...take notice...everyone wants VinCat love.
ReplyDeleteI feel like the writers are forcing Gabe down our throats and right into a predictable love story with Cat .
ReplyDeleteI voted for "Good" in this episode. He needs to go,
ReplyDeleteAgree. Gabe is a creepy stalker. He told Vincent he was going to keep an eye on Cat. Hello?? Cat doesn't need you Gabe, she has Vincent to keep an eye on her,
ReplyDeleteMaybe her memory was wiped clean. Like Vincent. She doesn't know she's the Beauty who has to fall in love with the Beast. The writers didn't tell her. :-)
ReplyDeleteOnce again, another great show.
ReplyDeleteAwesome Awesome awesome as always!!!!!! #Batb is the best show ever!!
ReplyDeleteReunion was a great episode as always, you can't stop watch this show!!! it is amazing!!!!
SO awesome to see JT, I thought maybe he had left the show.. NOPE!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite scene - Vincent killing Zack - I'm morbid I know :P Vincent made a promise to Catherine that the other beast would not hurt her again - he kept that promise :D With Catherine's realizing the Agent Reynolds might be her real dad I think we are now going to get more of her past. Getting the back stories is great - gives the characters more depth.
ReplyDeleteNot the best writing I've seen on this show, but they can't all be winners. Still love the premise of this show. There's nothing out there right now like BATB. Frankly, I'm tired of watching vampires,(past that phase in my life), but still love fantasy and romance.
ReplyDeleteI don't deal in the art of shipping names. I don't like shipping names honestly.
ReplyDeleteYou have some really good points, and I agree.
ReplyDeleteGabe is getting more airtime! what's up with that?! I want JT. He is more important to the fans than the writers think he is. We would never ask for more Gabe and less JT.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right, he is there only to serve as the guy who does things for everyone. I would love a JT centered episode where we learn how they met... and how they stayed friends for so long.
I agree, too many vampires. Have you seen Grimm? That's an interesting one if you like fantasy and non-vampire-centered monster shows... :)
ReplyDeleteI felt the same way! You are not the only one who noticed his absence. I would like to see some more Gabe absent episodes haha
ReplyDeleteDaniK totally agree with your great write up.
ReplyDeleteYes, Grimm is quite different. It is very well written.
ReplyDeleteThanks :)
ReplyDeleteI would like to see a LOT of Gabe absent episodes...he is the most annoying person in the show...creepy, sneaky stalker
ReplyDeleteThis last episode was good, but not as good as the others. The Hothead episode was great and inspiring. The Reunion episode had some things that did not make sense.Catherine almost gets killed, and Vincent is pretty cold,no kiss or anything.Come on writers, make the show make sense. In the end,it is Beauty and the Beast.
ReplyDeleteI like them out of pure laziness. lol Less typing, and fewer characters for tweets. :)
ReplyDeleteI miss it too. Fingers crossed it will come soon!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt was the best episode till now for me.
ReplyDeleteYes,Gabe could run away.He brings nothing to the show.I wish they would show more of J.T.Maybe they will later.Vincent and him together is very interesting as best friends.I also liked Catherine and Tess as partners.I do love the show and most of the actors though.
ReplyDeleteI think most of us fans agree,we are sick of Gabe already. It is creepy how he almost stalks Catherine.Vincent should always be in the ending scene with Catherine,it is after all Beauty and the Beast.
ReplyDeleteI agree. They should include more romance as well as action.
ReplyDeleteI loved Hothead also.
ReplyDeleteI have said the same thing on line.
ReplyDeleteMe too.Get J.T.back on as a regular.
