I'm a little dissapointed, because I hoped that Jason's father would at least be mentioned in this episode. It appears we didn't learn anything new about that (well, there was a cryptic comment about mortal men and their need to open the box; Jason was able to resist it, which says quite a lot), but, oh, well. I'm glad that Jason went against the gods.
I have not yet seen the film. However, given past interpretations of, I'd speculated that there was much disinformation regarding how the civilization of Atlantis was portrayed. Apparently, most people have the misconception that Atlantis was, not only the first civilization to inhabit planet earth, but also that Atlantis was an island; http://www.focusonrecovery.net/mattersoffaith/Atlantis.html
I only got to see it today for the first time, I can see why it was such a CGI heavy episode, it looked fab! I've kinda given up hope that we'll get any answers on why or how Jason is there, if there was going to be any development it would have been in this one considering his father "walks with the dead". Shame really, I think it's something they have misjudged slightly imo, but at least the last 2 episodes have come together better and the last few look very interesting too.
It was a good episode, no, I actually clicked great. The story developed nicely and for once there was a touch of real tension there. But Hercules is still the centre of attention. We are heading for the last few episodes still not knowing what on earth Jason is doing in Atlantis.....
NOTE: Name-calling, personal attacks, spamming, excessive self-promotion, condescending pomposity, general assiness, racism, sexism, any-other-ism, homophobia, acrophobia, and destructive (versus constructive) criticism will get you BANNED from the party.

ReplyDeleteI liked it, it was a solid episode. But, I wish they'd give some proper hints as to what Jason's destiny actually is, it's become a bit drawn out now.
ReplyDeletepoor Medusa :(
