  1. OMG Arrow that was insane gosh I totally missed that one

  2. What a banging ending!

  3. For an episode Stephen Amell described as Laurel-centric there was surprisingly little Laurel.

Merlyn lives! Looks like Malcolm took a dip in the Lazarus Pit. Good to have him back.

Also, the revelation of Thea's paternity makes her romantic feelings for Tommy hilarious in hindsight.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Stephen was misleading people.

Oliver and felicity shippers had reasons to go nuts.

And what an ending.Malcolm Is alive and Is Thea's father!

There Is possable connection between flashback storyline,Malcolm's return, and the brother blood storyline.

  5. I thought tonight’s episode was awesome!!! Ahh!!! He killed for her!! W/o hesitation.!! Squeeee!!! It was E-P-I-C…ok got that out of the way. Heart rate lowering…thinking clearly…now! I very much enjoyed The Count this time around. His one liners were very funny. Him saying no to every cell mate. "Be still my heart" when Ollie showed up. Him saying “I heard you developed an allergy to killing” “World Peace and personal satisfaction. But not in that order.” Felicity saying “ Oliver please not for me!” “Quiet please I’m threatening” Lmao…he was very entertaining. I can’t believe Moira got off! What?? I’m as shocked as Ollie. AND NOW WE KNOW WHY, WTF??? Shocked the hell outta me! AND THEA IS HIS DAUGHTER??? WHATTTTTT???? OH SHIT!! They’re REALLY steppin in up!! I can’t get enough!! I really enjoyed Thea and Roy’s scene tonight, I thought it was very sweet. And I would hope Roy would show her a little bit of skills. And Oliver would show him…(sometime before the 1st half of the season please)…Laurel..I don’t have anything to say about her, but does she look skinnier?? Her face looks thinner than usual. Or is that just me? I swear she does. Heavy sigh, yeah bring in Barry while we are finally seeing some feelings from Oliver's side. Ugh...Kill me more slowly why dontcha?? Lmao...seriously though, I've VERY siked to see Barry next week! Favorite Felicity line tonight...Oliver: "Can you enhance?" Felicity: "It hurts me to think you even have to ask." LOL

  6. Loved how they upped the episodes awesomeness each second. I seriously hated the Count for his Joker-esque portrayal (someone who the Count shouldn't even closely resemble) and was kinda glad that he got taken out. Brother Blood being the one to give the Count his resources kinda dissapointed my inner Merlyn fan since I was hoping for him to be in the shadows but then the ending....GOD SO SATISFYING

I've got to be honest: Merlyn is easily my favourite character on Arrow, villainous and not whiny about it at all. Also: say about John Barrowmans acting what you want but he seriously delivers with this role, further prooving that Barrowman can be fantastic with the right material.

Next step: making Merlyn a regular. Long overdue anyway, Merlyn is the Yang to Green Arrows Ying and should be a recurring villain

    ReplyDelete
  7. I just knew! I just knew he wasn't dead! As soon as I read that spoiler that John would be back, I just knew it wasn't in flashback form! This episodes was just…wow.

After that episode, I don't think I can wait for Dec. 4th for a new episode, and it being the first part of the mid-season finale too.

    ReplyDelete
  8. HOLY FREAKIN' SHIT!!!!

Let me start off by saying that The Count was again absolutely fantastic. God, Seth Gabel was so perfect in this role. Props to him. A little sad that he's gone but it had to happen. Didn't want it to stretch out any further.

My Olicity heart was on fire tonight. The writers were majorly toying with it and I loved it. Oliver killed for Felicity!!!

So obvious that Moira was to be acquitted but I'm also a little sad because she gave a fantastic performance when she was locked up in prison. Definitely going to miss that.

And last but not least, freakin' Malcolm Merlyn you handsome son of a bitch!! Tbh, I missed him so I'm happy he is back. And woah!!! Thea is Malcolm's daughter?!?! I'm sure everyone's jaw simultaneously dropped when he announced that.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Merlyn should be ongoing arch villain on Arrow.Plus we know he was trained by League of assassins.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I always questioned Malcolm being dead.John barrowman should be on arrow as much as possable.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'm actually dreading the Thea fanfiction after that reveal. I'm going to go filter our some categories.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm speechless. Wow. I love The Count/Seth Gabel, he was AWESOME so I'm sad to see him dead.

After this episode I realized I'm not emotionally prepared to deal with Olicity so this needs to be a very low burn or I'm going to end up in a hospital. Holy CRAP the amount of chemistry between them is off the damn charts.

People have been speculating Thea is Malcom's daughter since season 1 so that revelation wasn't exactly shocking, neither was his being alive. I was surprised he pulled the strings for that very implausible verdict.

I'll refrain from commenting about Laurel.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I had a grin on my face about Thea's actual dad's revelation.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Actually I don't think he was misleading people. Given the amount of screen time Katie has been given lately this would be considered a "centric" episode. Fortunately it still didn't mean the episode revolved around her.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Dude! My jaw was down to the floor with that news!!! And I went ballistic with Olicity!! Omg!! The writers are trying to kill us.

    ReplyDelete
  16. My jaw was already on the ground for him being alive, I guess I need to search in the basement see if I can find it back now after that second bomb in a row

    ReplyDelete
  17. I do think it was "centric" as she was trying to convict Oliver's mother, as she was more distraught than Oliver, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Arrow is kicking it out the park this season with the twists and surprises. That's what makes this season so much fun to watch! I absolutely love it.

    ReplyDelete
  19. what will happen btw Merlyn and Oilver who know his secret and all.....and Arrow cannot kill him because he is family...

    ReplyDelete
  20. Instead of Malcom telling Thea was his daughter, I was expecting him to tell Mora that Oliver was Arrow

    ReplyDelete
  21. Brother blood is going to war with the arrow.......!

    ReplyDelete
  22. I think he won't ally with Blood or the arrow but his own personal gain......he still evil

    ReplyDelete
  23. …This episode was filled with so many kinds of wonderful. Loved Roy being Thea's punching bag- that was super sweet. Loved Oliver and Felicity- so many gooey gushy feelings. Loved the fact that Oliver FINALLY! put an end to the count. Malcolm being alive (totally thought he would be since we never saw his body)- HECK YES! and him being Thea's father- dun dun dunnn.

I didn't suspect Blood of being the one to bank roll The Count, so that was interesting. Still eager to find out more about his villain plot. Laurel's limited time on screen was just a bonus. Without a doubt, one of my favourite episodes this season.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I thought Laurel looked skinnier too, her legs were like toothpicks.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I gave this one an awesome. There were a few things I didn't like, I hate when characters come back from the "dead" but it's Merlyn! I was ok with Oliver not killing but I always knew he'd face a situation where he had to kill again. I just didn't think it would happen so soon. However, I loved how it was handled, no angsty bull...Arrow did what had to be done.

Team Arrow is always a win and this was no exception. Once again we have great Oliver/Diggle bro, ance, great Diggle/Felicity friendship/buddy cop stuff and great Oliver/Felicity friendship. ..possibly developing into more scenes.

I knew from the 208 promo pictures that Moira would get off, I just didn't know how. The Merlyn reveal was mostly shocking so they get cool points for that.

I freaking loved Count Vertigo! He was entertaining, creepy and pervy all at the same time. It's a shame he had to die.

Laurel just doesn't work for me and I don't care about her pity party.

Sara was really interesting in tje Island story, I like that we're seeing the soft/weak/naive girl she used to be...it's going to make the whole Canary/League payoff so much better.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I didn't even look at her legs. I was too concerned about her face. Like how the hell did she lose that much weight in a matter of weeks? She just looked tired/worn out. I didn't like it at all. Somebody give that woman a hamburger.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Yes! I knew Malcolm was still alive! Haha... oh wait that means bad news for the characters... but good news for us the viewers!

Anyway, a pretty solid episode. Sad to see Seth Gabel go, but the Count wasn't a huge favorite villain of mine, and the way in which he died (Oliver killing someone again to save Felicity) was a great plot point.

Also what's up with Slade? I know he got blown up half to hell, bu still, not looking so good there buddy. Glad Oliver is back with Slade and Shado.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I kept looking at her face when she was talking to, it was kind of distracting. But then she walked away and I couldn't help but notice.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I lol'd at Laurel being upset that Oliver wasn't upset with her.

    ReplyDelete
  30. This was not as strong as last week for me, but still great.

I love how Slade Wilson is almost literally turning into Deathstroke with his face being two colors split down the middle like the mask.

I always knew that the Hosen stone was the key and commented Oliver would go back to the island for it, although I figured he would escape the prison boat honestly. That flashback arc sets up some interesting future plots if Ivo is still after the Hosen stone since Thea has it.

Speaking of Thea, I guess her paternity was always questioned since we learned of Moira's affair with Malcolm Merlyn, but tonight it was confirmed. Frankly I am unmoved by the knowledge. It really doesn't change how I look at Thea even though I'm sure it will change how Thea looks at herself and of course her mother.

The bigger reveal to me was Merlyn being alive and behind Moira's verdict! Awesome news indeed! Merlyn is just an awesome character and Arrow needs a true nemesis not just a series of villains.

All of that without actually touching on the COTW! XD
Count Vertigo himself is over-the-top for me personally, but he does seem to have fun stortylines! The best part for me is he forced Oliver's hand into killing again! The non-lethal hero BS was appalling!

Honestly this Blood character does little for me. I am not really impressed amused or annoyed by him - He leaves me impressionless. I am apathetic to him and his entire arc thus far .. Yawn.

Solid episode that advanced more than a few storylines!
I think advancing so many arcs was welcomed, but the episode did not move me like other episodes that may accomplish less but do it with more intensity.
Still great, but not awesome to me.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Or the weird/funny way she tried to avoid him, I mean WTF lol.

    ReplyDelete
  32. When she was talking to Ollie and started tearing her eyes out (not literally) i just had this disgusted look. Hahaha I'm sorry, i can't with her. But that doesn't mean i don't wanna see her healthy. I'm re-watching the episode right now, so when that scene pops up, i'll look.

    ReplyDelete
  33. This show just gets better and better. I'm in awe.

I liked The Count better this time. For some reason, he was more fun than his previous appearances.

And the new Big Bad is ..... Blood.

Diggle is sick so Felicity steps in. Yes, Felicity, there is a reason Diggle gets to do the action stuff and not you. But then, Oliver rushed to her rescue, even though he was waiting for the verdict, and went back to shooting people for her. I'm glad she appreciated the cost to him.

I'm glad Moira got off. And best of all, it was Malcolm is back and he got her off. And he's Thea's father! (Looking at John Barrowman and Willa Holland, I can totally believe it.)

The only bad note was Laurel's argument in court. High school debaters cringed.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I will give her that, Laurel can always find something to be melodramtic and upset about!! XD

    ReplyDelete
  35. I feel the same way.
The episode had a few awesome elements but was not awesome overall to me.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I feel the same way about Barrowman and Merlyn.
He needs to be recurring for as long as the series runs! He is the perfect nemesis and arch-villain to Arrow. I'm not sure I want him on every week, but pulling strings from behind the scenes and popping in at dramatic moments will be awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  37. She looked almost sickly to me, almost skeletal from some angles. Her neck looked even thinner and her face more angular and drawn. Glad I was not the only one to notice it and think it.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Eww! Hahahaha yeah i totally saw her legs now. And nice!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Someone needs to introduce Laurel Lance to Cordelia Chase

"Embrace the pain, spank your inner moppet, whatever, but get over it."

    ReplyDelete
  40. Watching the episode again!! SQUEE!!! I love that scene!!! Ollie was so quick with it!! Boom boom boom!!! 3 arrows!! Dead center!! Like a freaking dart board!! HAHA!!! AHHHHH!!!! &$^&%$#%^&*^w

So I was ready to be pretty meh about episode, because of Count's retcon from being a vegetable to being his old-self(and because his antics have gotten old), and because of Laurel's minimal screentime, despite the obvious need for her character growth, AND because yet again the main plots did not seem to move forward and we had a throw-away villain-of-the-week and way too much Felicity...Not to mention the flashback seemed to go in circles every week(although its clear they are trying to get Slade to comic book Deathstroke's level)...

BUT THEN FREAKING MALCOLM MERLYN APPEARED WITHIN LAST FEW MINUTES! and suddenly my hope in this show returning to its former glory was renewed. Lets hope the writers use this development to its full potential and the show rediscovers its sense of direction it lost since S2 premiere.

    ReplyDelete
  43. lol so did i! I'm glad I wasn't the only one. hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  44. lmao!! I laughed SO hard at that. Like she just turned around and ran the opposite direction, and he just walks in front of her. I was thinking really? LOL Sorry, but that was funny.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Haha Stephen wasn't wrong! = )

    ReplyDelete
  46. Great ep with some huge twists: Arrow killing - even though I get that they probably wanted this version to be more like the comic version following the "no kill code", I liked that this show had a dark version to start with and that felt believable, as did this occasion - the Count was too big of a threat to too many and knew too much... and of course was going to hurt Felicity, so he had to be put down... as for Merlyn being back - as great of a character that he was (and looking forward to seeing what mayhem he will bring), I wish the show would've moved on and left him dead and the writers could challenge themselves with more big bads.... I"m assuming that by not only being alive, but surprisingly spry that Ra's al Ghul and his Lazarus pits of longevity aren't far in the future... not really sure what to make of Thea being his daughter, but we'll have to see how that will play out. One thing that I felt got glossed over was there was no police investigation of why the Arrow killed Count Vertigo in Oliver's office... and if Det Lance can't connect the dots from there that Oliver is the Hood/Arrow, and where Felicity/Diggle works, he's not a great detective..lol

    ReplyDelete
  47. good episode, at least the count is (hopefully) gone at this point, as the writers failed with him after his first appearance.

    ReplyDelete
  48. When you first posted this, and said L.L. needs to be introduced to C.C. I was thinking, so she could be in a coma for a season and a half? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  49. And then we all screamed "LAZARUS PIT" from the top of our lungs.

What an episode! I still can't believe that Malcolm is alive and Thea is his daughter! I had thought of it, but I'm so thrilled they actually went there. I am prepared for all that it entails, from Oliver having to maybe put him down again, Malcolm and the league of assassins and how t ties to Sara and Thea learning of her true parentage (he is not just evil, he is an assassin! and her brother is a vigilante! I smell heroics)

I'm glad the Olicity is a real thing now, congrats to the shippers! But I'm more excited to know that Laurel's relevance is not going to be as "love interest" anymore, she will have a plot of her own, most likely tied to Sara's!!

    ReplyDelete
  50. Freaking LOVE that Show!

    ReplyDelete
  51. could Blood be a member of the HIVE? in the comic/animations series teen titan he is

    ReplyDelete
  52. Honestly, the Island scene captured my attention more than what happened in current time. Count Vertigo never did it for me, and that he suddenly is halfway clear minded again without any explanation irritated me. Plus, when he stood there taunting Oliver I just wanted him to shot and put an end on this pathetic human being once and for all.
The trial was the worst part, partly because Laurel being there makes no sense at all but mostly because it was so imbalanced. A trial is for me only interesting if I get to see the counterarguments, too. The way they did it Moira's lawyer looked frankly incompetent. It is her freaking JOB to redirect. She even knew what was coming and had no counterargument?
I liked the small moment between Roy and Thea...I hope that is the start of her learning a little bit fighting, too. Might come in handy later on.
The reveal...well, great that the archer is still alive, but I hope they are going somewhere with him being Thea's father. If they only did this for some pointless drama, I won't forgive them.
All in all it started out like such a great episode, but I think it could have been so much more than it was.

    ReplyDelete
  53. The works of court in this show amaze me.

    - His eye caught a reflection.
    - Can you enhance it?
WHAT IS THIS? CSI: STARLING CITY?

Totally called Merlyn being Thea's father the moment Moira told her kids about the affair (because way overused).

    ReplyDelete
  54. Not only was the eye reflection enhancement over-the-top, it was completely unnecessary! XD

When Count Vertigo 's feed came over you could clearly see the logo on the wall behind them a couple of times. So they literally missed the obvious writing on the wall only to notice a split second glimpse of a reflection in the blink of an eye!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I hated her so much i dont get the love for her

    ReplyDelete
  56. AWESOME episode! I am glad The Count is dead, even if that meant for Oliver to kill again.

And Malcolm is alive! Not much of a surprise, but I am happy to see him again! I must admit that I never saw that twist coming, until I read a theory somewhere yesterday. And then when she said she had an affair, it was confirmed for me.Will be interesting to see where it goes. BTW, what if not Thea was Malcolm's daughter, but Oliver was his son? That would have been even more shocking!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I mostly noticed that he chin becomes more and more prominent with each passing episode...I thought she was prettier when she still had rounder features

    ReplyDelete
  58. Which would honestly have been the more interesting twist.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I was hoping Malcolm will tell Moira that he know who the arrow identity is

    ReplyDelete
  60. Same here. She was a lot more attractive last season. I googled her a while back and its like she's forever changing in appearance.

    ReplyDelete
  61. -The episode kinda bored me at first, I was expecting the court ongoings to be better than this.
-Count Vertigo was pretty meh in this episode.
-The reflection in the eye thing was beyond ridiculous. I rolled my eyes when I saw that.
-I was really dreading that Oliver and Felicity would kiss each other when he saved her and then back in the Arrow cave. I am really glad that it didn't happen, but I don't like how they are building it up.
-The Island flashbacks were really interesting but Slade's face looked so unrealistic. Who else is thinking that Sara is going to give them the ultimate screw over?

-Malcolm is alive? Oh come on! And Moria is obviously gonna hide this from Oliver. Ugh, more lies Moira.
-Thea is Malcolm's daughter. Didn't see that one coming at all.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I liked her better in Supernatural.

    ReplyDelete
  63. It also deserves better ratings.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Nope...I didn't pay attention to the character beforehand because I am not that into spoilers, but when I saw him my first thought was "he looks younger than Roy"

    ReplyDelete
  65. OMG!!! I was not expecting that!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yeah, that was weird...also, the dramatic "the strategy is about me" when in fact is was about Moira having an affair. I'm sure it would have worked without Laurel just fine.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I wish they would slow down concerning Oliver and Felicity a little bit...and I really hope that they don't intend to botch it up down the line to "free" Oliver for the Black Canary.

    ReplyDelete
  68. My heart skipped far too many beats this episode. Every bit as flawless as Stephen made it sound. Two moments that particularly took my breath away.
    1. Oliver kills again for Felicity. Very well-done!
    2. Merlyn not only lives but is also biological father of Thea. Wow, didn't see the latter coming at all!
The story with Sebastian is getting interesting too but they're still just teasing that right now. But it seems to be taking the plunge next episode. Midseason finale seems like a total gamechanger!

    ReplyDelete
  69. I hate mid-season finales...it means no new eps.

It's decided for me. I tried to give him a chance. Rally I did. But I simply do NOT like the actor playing ADA Donner(?) He has no screen presence and comes across as a guy who stole a cheap suit and is performing dinner theatre. I felt like the reason Laurel go the cross exam scene is because the directors realize she'd be able to deliver it more convincingly than this guy.

When Oliver walked into that office it was clear that Count Vertigo wasn't going to survive the episode. I"m really interested to see what's next with Oliver's journey.

Not sure what to say about the island story this week. I feel like I only got to read 1 page of a great fight scene and was forced to put the mood

I had completely forgotten that Barrowman had posted he was doing anohter episode. I was thinking Blood had done it. Don't know how I feel about the Thea reveal. Thought it was an awesome ep though.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Another excellent episode.
While I expected many of the things that happened in it to happen, they still managed to make it an interesting ride getting there.
Only thing that sucks is, the Count is gone for good.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Holy. Mother. Of. GOD.

Mind. Blown. Will come back later when I can make a more coherent comment.

P.S. I voted "Awesome". Can you tell?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Plus, he didn't try to kill Oliver at first, only chained him up in that warehouse. It was only when Oliver came at him a second time in an attempt to stop the Undertaking that Malcolm went in for the kill.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Even when she feels like shit about something SHE did, she still somehow manages to spin it into "woe is me! I have to prosecute my ex's mother! I'm the one who deserves the most pity in this situation, not the woman who might be EXECUTED or her two kids!".

I did like her, for a change, in the prison scene with Moira. She took a major professional risk to stop Moira from testifying and damaging her defense, so I do give her a few points for that.

    ReplyDelete
  74. I also disliked Felicity going alone. She knows she can't handle the action-type stuff and should've called someone to back her up, like Detective Lance (or - I would've died of happiness - Sara!). At least, she should've brought a weapon with her (even a taser or pepper spray would've helped). And changed out of her high-heeled shoes and dress FFS.

Felicity is smarter than this. It's frustrating that they dumbed her down to put her in the damsel-in-distress position. But hey, she's still got nothing on Laurel, so I guess that's something.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Love how he felw out of the window and crashed on the taxi. I was so sick of that crazy-ass mofo and I'm glad he was killed off satisfyingly.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I agree...I keep forgetting how the guy even looks like. He is certainly the weakest character currently around.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Merlyn as Oliver's true Nemesis? Probably, but I could also see them working together occasionally, against a common enemy...perhaps to save Thea's life or Moira's or just because they're relatives now. As the old saying goes: You don't get to choose your relatives, but you do have to learn how to live with them.

    ReplyDelete
  78. It wasn't a mid-season finale. The show comes back in 2 weeks for two more episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  79. I wanted Malcolm to stay dead personally and instead he is alive and well and probably working with Blood. Oh well..

I'm sad for Thea. She wouldn't want to be the daughter of the man who killed Tommy, Robert, and many others. I can't see her taking this well.

I wonder how long it will take for Oliver to find out now that Malcolm is still alive.

Meanwhile, I loved SA's acting in the scene with Felicity after killing the Count and I'm officially shipping him and Felicity now.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Quentin found out about the Dollmaker's escape months after.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I saw this option and hoped they won't go there.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Yes they're family and that also means that Merlyn and Oliver will probably stumble over a common cause once in a while, which they can work together on...declare an occasional, temporary truce or something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I know I shouldn't engage...but Moira WAS terrified of Malcom. Just because he had a soft sport for her it doesn't mean that he wouldn't have hurt her or her family to reach his goal. Just because someone is sleeping with someone (in this case once and LONG before he started the undertaking...I have to do the math, but wasn't his wife still alive when Thea was born?) it doesn't mean that he or she is not afraid. Just look at the numerous abusive relationships out there. Plus, I think Malcom mostly let Walter live in order to keep Moira under control. As long as he had him, he could be sure that she wouldn't talk. Killing him might have pushed Moira over the edge earlier.

    ReplyDelete
  84. The mid-season finale is not this episode nor the following episode... it's the Dec 11 episode (2.09)

    ReplyDelete
  85. How would that be a twist?

    ReplyDelete
  86. The midseason finale is in two parts: 2.08 and 2.09. And the stakes seem really high!

    ReplyDelete
  87. Honestly, new job or not, if you don't want to do it, don't do it. Considering her relationship with Oliver, stepping away from the case would have been the right thing to do from the get go. She shouldn't even have been near the case in the first place. As boring as first season Laurel was, at least she would have done what she thought was right, no matter the consequences. It was the one character trait I liked, even if it meant that she ended up in trouble she couldn't handle himself all the time. But at least it was for the greater good. Now she can't even stand up for herself.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I like the progression to be honest, especially because it's been over a year since they met (around a year a half I think?) so it's only normal Oliver has come to care about her and they're simply showing that. He asked her to join in and that he could protect her and she's been put into danger to help and has not even once complained about it. I doubt anything super meaningful will happen anytime soon but I do hope they will work towards Oliver moving away from Laurel to be with someone that makes him happy to be who he is and receives no judgment from it.

Now Green Arrow and Black Canary is a completely different story. They can work just fine regardless of his relationship with Felicity. Sarah was proof of that and it was awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Your excitement makes me even more happy. That scene was AWESOME.

    ReplyDelete
  90. I was yelling at my screen DON'T DO IT ARE YOU CRAZY but I guess she thought scoping out the truck wouldn't do any harm.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I don't know if it was supposed to be dramatic but it looked like something out of a sitcom. I just stared at my screen wondering if it had been really her.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I just would prefer that Oliver makes a clear cut with Laurel first.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I loved this episode soooooo much don't even know where to start maybe I'll write another comment when I collect my thoughts.
    AMAAAAAAAZING EPISODE

    ReplyDelete
  94. I think he will once he realizes what he wants in life. He isn't in that place yet.

    ReplyDelete
  95. I can barely type,(really excited) soooooooooooo aaaaaamaaaaazing and awesomeeeeeeeee wiehooeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  96. IIRC Tommy was 10 or 12 when his mother was killed and Thea is 10 years younger than Tommy/Oliver. Given that Merlyn disappeared for 2 years after his wife's death it would make sense that Merlyn/Moira had their affair before Mrs. Merlyn was killed. Thea could have either have been born before the death or right after, which could explain why Merlyn never thought of the possibility.

I also think that Walter was held hostage to secure Moira's support. I was really annoyed with the way the show handled that particular question in the Trial...it was so ridiculous that they actually brought it up but made Moira answer in such a stupid way IMO.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I didn't have a problem with it because I figured the people distributing the vaccines weren't part of Vertigo's organization. I figured it would be relatively safe and since Diggle was too sick and Oliver was in court, it worked. I hate that she ended up being a DiD but the scenes/story worked for me, so I forgive them

    ReplyDelete
  98. You hated Cordy? Aww, I loved Cordy...still bitter that Mutant Enemy destroyed the character because they were pissed at the actress.

    ReplyDelete
  99. The whole Trial was stupid. For example when I can't remember his name asked Thea if she was there when she got processed I wanted her to say "no, I was in the Glades, trying to help". When he asked her why the jury should forgive Moira I wanted someone to point out that this isn't about forgiveness but about deciding if the dead penalty is an appropriate punishment for what she did, not about emotions, but about making a judgement based on law. And why the hell wasn't Oliver in the witness stand? Honestly, what better way to sway the jury than the story about the child which was lost for five years due to Malcom's actions. They acted as if Malcom "only" killed her first husband, but he also nearly killed her son, and she believed for five years that he was most likely dead.
I think all in all an episode focussing mostly on the trial, on argument and counterargument would have been the better pick. I wanted more room for this storyline - and I mostly wanted to see Moira scoring a point of two along the way (and her lawyer being competent for once).

    ReplyDelete
  100. I don't mind Felicity ending up as DiD because for one, she has other strengths and two she is not battle trained. Plus, it was great when she said to Oliver "don't do it, not for me". I quite like that you can see how terrified she is, but that she is still pushing through. Reminds me of Mrs. Brisby, my favourite animated heroine.

    ReplyDelete
  101. i cant get over olicity. i agree with the slow burn. it will be too much for my heart

    ReplyDelete
  102. I don't want Felicity becoming a DiD to be a recurring thing but yeah it didn't bother me too much, I was actually really worried about it when I first read the episode description.

I did like that even though Felicity was terrified she was brave enough to tell Oliver "don't do it, not for me". That was a really good character moment.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Overall, a pretty solid episode.

    - I loved the Felicity/Oliver scenes simply because of the superb acting (although the writers overuse "the hero saves the damsel in distress" model - he's rescued her at least 4 times so far). Emily and Stephen have such great chemistry! :)
    - I did not see the Merlyn twist coming. But wait... Malcolm is Thea's father? Thea-who-had-a-huge-crush-on-Tommy Merlyn, that Thea?! Um... Awkward. Anyway, I hope that when Thea finds out that won't generate unnecessary melodrama. We've seen enough of angry!Thea and unstable!Thea.

    - Anything they try to pass off as court proceedings is just cringeworthy. No, I don't expect a TV show to reflect reality, but there was no point in Teryl Rothery guest-starring as Moira's lawyer when her character was so utterly ineffective. And I always find Laurel fake as hell, the actress is not at all convincing as a lawyer. :/

    ReplyDelete
  104. But that involved assuming that the truck was sitting there empty, with no bad guys around whatsoever. I do think it's far-fetched that The Count himself just happened to be there, but there was definitely a big chance that one of his goons would be. She was being reckless. Not everyone can be a black belt ass-kicker, obviously, but if you're not, you shouldn't walk into dangerous situation by yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I was just going to come here and comment the exactly same thing about Olicity! They're going to slow burn this and is going to be EPIC!

    ReplyDelete
  106. Re the Malcolm/Thea revelation, someone also pointed out that in the Pilot, Tommy tells Oliver "how hot [his] sister's gotten". It's a good thing the poor guy is dead and will never have to find out about this latest twist, huh?

    ReplyDelete
  107. I'm sure Oliver thought Thea was hot too when he first saw her though. We can appreciate our siblings and relatives' good looks without feeling anything romantic towards them.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Tommy was 7 when his mother died, Malcolm disappeared and returned 2 years later when Tommy was 9. Thea was born about a year after Malcolm returned.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Yeah, but that scene obviously suggested Tommy being physically attracted to Thea, hence his use of the word "hot" (as opposed to "pretty", "gorgeous", etc) and Oliver's reprimanding look before Tommy backtracking and adding "Because I have not!". Oliver was like, "Dude, don't you EVER talk about my sister like that again."

Anyway, I was just joking, of course.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Haha, yes, I guess he was better off not knowing.

Slightly off-topic: I wish Melinda Clarke would star in Arrow as Malcolm Merlyn's sister and also a part of the League of Assassins. She could be the one to tell Thea who her father is, tell her that she's her aunt, and then try to recruit her to be a part of the League. :D
I would just love to see Melinda as a villain on Arrow! Melinda and Willa have already played relatives, they do look alike... and I'll miss Melinda after Nikita is over. :(

    ReplyDelete
  111. That's good...it would have been hard for me to believe that he cheated on the wife he supposedly loved so much. And obviously it happened long before the undertaking.

    ReplyDelete
  112. I think it's time Felicity starts using some of the training Diggle was giving her, but regardless we have to keep in mind Felicity is just a girl. She's just an awkward it girl who have absolutely no clue about what she's doing outside of a lab. It's not like Laurel or Mckenna or Sara, who had training who know self defense and theoretically should be able to defend themselves in situations like the ones Felicity finds herself in too often. I'm hoping this will change gradually and she will start really fighting back.

    ReplyDelete
  113. TBH the chemistry and the moment were so intense I felt awkward watching it, as if I was intruding on a moment

    ReplyDelete
  114. I'm glad everyone else noticed how much weight Laurel/Kate Cassidy is losing. I'm wondering if it has to do with her characters depression or if the actress herself is losing weight. she's beginning to look unhealthy. the angles of her face remind me of when Hilary Duff lost all that weight and looked terrible. both actresses were much more attractive before the drastic weight losses.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Officially everyone has a distaste for laurel. THANK GOD! The count was really good in this episode. One liners were great! Thea's dad is Malcom?? OK that was getting pretty obvious. So coming to OLICIT!Y it was amaaazingggg! I mean how much more pressure is going to rise because of these 2?? the hand squeeze was so damn cute. My jaws dropped. and did anyone recognize ollie's eyes were about to get out of his sockets when count said he had felicity?? great episode. hoping for a hug but guess that didn't happen!

    ReplyDelete
  116. It was the promo at the end of the episode that prompted that comment. I've never liked that new eps of my favorite shows either disappear or get spotty til after Christmas.

    ReplyDelete
  117. It took until my second viewing to see that they had set it up though. When Diggle asked her to show the victims' workplaces, Felicity griped "What is it going to take to impress you guys?" (a sentiment I sincerely agree with).

I guess she thought that it would take going out into the field to finally impress them. (Also Oliver was busy and Diggle was sick. There was no one else till Roy joins them.) I hope she asks for more training now.

It was stupid of her to still have her Queen Consolidated ID badge but I can't remember the number of times people have commented to me on a bus or at a store that I've forgotten to take mine off after work too. Much more stupid were those super high heeled shoes.

    ReplyDelete
  118. 2 weeks, it airs at December 4.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I think she should have A) called Quentin for backup, B) brought a gun or at least a taser/pepper spray, and C) changed out of those high heels (indeed) and dress.

    ReplyDelete
  120. The problem isn't that she couldn't defend herself, it's that she unwisely walked into a dangerous situation - alone and (apparently) unarmed - in the first place.

I don't expect ninja moves from Felicity, I expect common sense.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Lmao, glad I can spread the excitement. It really was a badass scene.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I thought he was very entertaining this time around. But yes it was time for him to go. And I'm glad Ollie took him out like that, it was awesome. The look on Ollie's face, he was all screw this guy and don't touch my woman. Lmao

    ReplyDelete
  123. Exactly. And Tbh I think it's just Cassidy losing weight. IDT it has to do with her character at all. Ewww Hilary was disgusting. IDT Cassidy would get that low. Or at least I hope not.

    ReplyDelete
  124. I guess it depends on how badly you see the scene. While she could have used some more common sense I understand why she went to check it out. It could have been nothing and both Diggle and Oliver were out of comission. No reason to bother anyone for a possible cold lead /shrugs

    ReplyDelete
  125. Okay I've watched and researched that ending scene like 15 times and every time I hear Barrowman say 'Thea ISNT my daughter' not 'Thea IS my daughter' is anybody else hearing isn't?!!

    ReplyDelete
  126. So where the hell is my money????? lol I told hell i made a bold statement stating Malcolm wasn't dead but what have you all been telling me?? oh that's right he died bc Oliver pierced his heart with the arrow. Rules of TV Show if a body isn't found nor shown what happens to the body or if there no funeral then the character is alive lol

    ReplyDelete
  127. Look at this way the series is 3-2 with who knows Olivia's secret. lol

    Good Guys: Diggles.Felicity.Tommy
    Bad Guys: Malcolm.Count Vertigo

Ironically all three died except Malcolm never died lol

    ReplyDelete
  128. Merlyn and Oliver are gonna make a deal with each other and in return not reveal their Identities lol

    ReplyDelete
  129. Idr you stating anything of the sort, so idk what you're talking about. Haha another thing, i said that about Sara when everyone thought she was dead. I said if i don't see a body, then there's still hope she's alive. Now in Macolm's case the only thing i could think of is that he went to Ra's Al Ghul. Or someone took him there. B/c he sure as hell looked dead in that season finale. Also that's not always true. There could be a funeral for a character and they could still come back, or not be dead.

    ReplyDelete
  130. idk about that. About Malcolm. i have one theory and i'm sticking to it.

    ReplyDelete
  131. You're not the only one I've seen say this, so maybe Barrowman did bungle his line but they didn't notice.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Just as I finished watching this episode I thought it was awesome. On reflection this was a severely flawed episode compared to all the other season 2 episodes.

The court case was a joke. It felt like it was written by high school kids than the talented Arrow writers. They could have used one whole episode for this and could have made it great. One thing is for sure, Starling city residents are doomed as it is since there is not even one good lawyer in this city.

I don't like to complain about Laurel after each episode. I really liked her in the beginning of season 1 except for her scenes with Oliver. She had morals and never shied away from taking a stand for whats right. Why didnt she bow out of this case? And her pity party after the case *sigh*. What are the writers trying to do here. Make her Elena freaking Gilbert?? And have we in canon ever seen her winning a case? I feel for Katie Cassidy. I dont think she is the best actress in the lot but I didnt like Thea or Roy in first season and they changed my opinion this season. I am keeping my fingers crossed for Laurel. Atleast please show us she is good at her job.

The Count was less annoying this time around but I am glad Oliver killed him. I love Seth Gabel. I will miss you Seth. Was it just me or did I see the people in Count's employment wearing underwear with a plastic sheet and a mask. What was that about. I suddenly laughed seeing that.

Team Arrow was awesome as usual. These three has great chemistry with each other and their dialogues flows naturally. I could have done without the eye reflection thing. We know felicity is awesome no need to drill it every episode. They should have made Felicity take Lance or Roy as back up and then somehow gotten her kidnapped. This felt like they simply wanted her to be a damsel in distress and worked around that so that Oliver could kill the Count.

A special shout out to EBR and SA. These two just sizzle when they are together on screen. Every other romantic pairing in this show will have a tough time trumping the chemistry between these two. The dialogues and emotion feels honest.

Malcom Merlyn is alive and he is Thea's father. First came as surprise second not so much. I dont know how to feel about this as I dont like when characters come back from death. But this is a comic show and he is Merlyn so I will try to accept.

I really would like to know where they are taking Brother Blood and lets hope its something magnificent.

Conclusion: I love Arrow even when it is not at its best.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Simple answer the trial was rigged

    ReplyDelete
  134. NOOOOO she is horrible and totally ruined Nikita for me

    ReplyDelete
  135. Malcolm never died, he faked his death

    ReplyDelete
  136. The case was rigged, case closed

    ReplyDelete
  137. And also the fact that Brother Blood was behind it all

    ReplyDelete
  138. True probably just left a bad taste in my mouth

    ReplyDelete
  139. You have to understand the scene where Oliver stabbed himself through his shoulder and into Malcolm heart is what we thought to believe who's to say he barely touched his heart thus rendering him looking dead lol..Actually no one took him or went to Ra's Al Ghul the island he spoke of to Tommy Nanda Parbat is where he met a man who helped him to learn purposde in his life and i believe it's the same man who healed Malcolm.

FYI according to comics the island can only be found with a invisible map that's comprised of 7 pieces which can take form of a tattoo.a scrap of parchment.a poem or a birth mark. Which really interesting is Oliver has a tattoo on his right side of the chest.

    ReplyDelete
  140. My theory is he was healed by a man he met on the island of Nanda Parbat during his 2 yr disappearance after his wife and Tommy mother died.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I still think it was Ra's. And yes Oliver stabbed himself in the shoulder, and Malcolm through the chest. But the way that Malcolm went down, idk looked dead to me. There's no telling if no one took him anywhere b/c when s2 premiered there was a time jump. No one knows what became of Malcolm's body. Despite the story he told Tommy, idt that was it. I think Ra's has something to do with it. Shrugs.

    ReplyDelete
  142. I think Merlyn managed to fake his death...
He slowed down his heartbeat so it appeared he was dead either by using some Asian meditation technique he learned during his League of Assassination days or maybe it was some drug.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Ok then. We'll see in Dec.

    ReplyDelete
  144. That's another possibility.

    ReplyDelete
  145. based on how reckless and stupid Thea can be when she gets bad news, she is not going to handle this news very well. And I curse the episode where I have to watch her deal with that

    ReplyDelete
  146. fantastic episode. kinda saw her getting off on the charges but i did NOT see how would go down coming. it's about to hit the fan, folks, and i think the ride is about to get all kinds of crazy!

Also so sad to see The Count go. i loved him the first time around and was excited to see him back. my heart broke just a little when he fell out of the window and we saw him on the car. is it sad that when Merlyn showed up my first thought was "Hey maybe The Count can come back too!" yes i know...i'm sick and i need serious help.

    ReplyDelete
  147. I agree she should have at least brought some pepper spray or some weapon she knows how to use. (I haven't seen her be able to use a gun yet.)

I don't know so much about calling Quentin. She didn't know for sure that there was something about the vaccine truck, and she can't be the girl who cried wolf with him. Good set-up for why they need Roy as part of the team too.

    ReplyDelete
  148. But that only has to do with the result: the jury acquitting Moira despite the fact that her defense during the trial was awful, and anyone with half a brain would have convicted her. It has nothing to do with all of the ridiculousness of the legal procedures. I doubt Malcolm went to the trouble of paying people off just to do their job poorly - for example. Moira's highly deficient lawyer.

    ReplyDelete
  149. They should definitely teach her how to fire a gun. We *have* seen Diggle spar with her for training, but that was ages ago.

    ReplyDelete
  150. I really like Olicity but for me it's happening a little bit too fast. If they rush into this I am afraid that it will be over too soon.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I wish she'd gain that weight back, and go back to straight brown hair. She looked much better when she had some meat on her, and I think the curls and highlights aren't doing her hair any favors.

I know knocking women for being skinny is no better than knocking them for being fat, but I just have to agree that she doesn't look good. It's a shame because she's a naturally beautiful woman (and I actually thought dying her hair brown for the first season of Arrow really worked for her, more than the blonde hair she had before).

    ReplyDelete
  152. The case being rigged explains why Moira was found not guilty. It doesn't explain any of the ridiculousness of the trial: Laurel being second chair and then even representing the state herself, in spite of both her inexperience and the conflict of interest; Moira's lawyer's utter incompetence; the many assumptions Donner and then Laurel made while questioning Thea and Moira, respectively, on the stand; the fact that the whole thing, which should be Starling's equivalent of the freaking O.J. Simpson trial, appeared to last just a few days; the idea that Moira having had an affair with Malcolm 18 years ago (!), and that he didn't kill Walter, negates the possibility that she was under duress; etc. Even for a TV show trial, it was blatantly unrealistic.

    ReplyDelete
  153. Yeah, when these things can be explained realistically, I don't get why they go for far-fetchedness. That moment could've easily gone like this: they rewatch the video, suddenly Digg or Oliver go "Wait! rewind that", Felicity does, they ask her to play it in slow motion, and then they all notice the logo on the wall.

    ReplyDelete
  154. You're not saying the show jumped the shark after one episode, right? I think that's a bit much, even given the endless, downright painful ridiculousness of the trial.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Donna was a mole placed by Merlin, however i agree in know way should Laurel have been allowed to prosecute

    ReplyDelete
  156. How can you watch Supernatural then that has the most ridiculous over the top story lines that i think i have ever seen, sorry if that comes across as rude im just confused about your seemingly over harsh post

    ReplyDelete
  157. I hear "is", not "isn't".

    ReplyDelete
  158. I realize that Malcolm should have died, stayed dead, and never been resurrected again except in flashbacks. It is the same mistake Supernatural made over and over again and decimates any validity the show had about character death.

    ReplyDelete
  159. I dropped Supernatural after last season when it too became one mass of hemorraghing story lines and soap opera level contrived drama just like this episode.

    ReplyDelete
  160. I concur about Moira and Oliver/Shado/Slade. Brother Blood is a kinda twisted individual - the title is pasted down father to son by the son killing the father. They are the leaders of a secret cult called The Church of Blood and they have superpowers in controlling blood. I think that the iteration of Sebastian Blood is the one that tried to bring Hell and demons into the world.

SPOILER FROM COMICS Slade Wilson is also known as Deathstroke. He is primarily a villain in the DC world by being hired hand to many of the super villain teams. He was part of a super soldier program that gave him speed and strength - I am not sure if that has happened in Arrow or not. Regardless of the power ups, Slade is one bad guy - one of the best assassins in the world. I never read the original Year One Green Arrow comics, but in the recent editions Deathstroke was not in it. In the regular Green Arrow comics - Deathstroke and Arrow fight many times. I think that Deathstroke is responsible for the death of someone close to Ollie - but it has been awhile and I don't tend to read comic book series sequentially or completely, I could be wrong.

I don't see their trio lasting. If Slade doesn't die on the island, I think he will be revealed as a villain towards the end of the season or beginning of the next.

    ReplyDelete
  161. So I have mixed feelings about this episode - on one hand, it felt way more comic-y - over the top, cliche, and kinda cartoony with a bit of dark themes thrown in. I kinda like this because I like the comics. On the other hand, Arrow is its own show and is very different from the comics - from the personality of Ollie, to adding new characters and taking out old ones to having a very different feel - more real world, science over magic, no metahumans (so far).

    ReplyDelete
  162. Moira's lawyer annoyed me too. What about how the ADA was testifying for Thea (about her being 'angry') and Moira's lawyer said nothing?

    ReplyDelete
  163. Wow, what an episode. I liked it, but there were some things I´ve kind of suspected. Like Thea being Malcolm´s daughter or that Moira won´t lose the trial. I did not expect Malcolm to show up tho. Seth Gabel was awesome as usual, too bad he´s dead, but it would be too much if he survived this too. Can´t wait for next episode.

    ReplyDelete
  164. what kind of lawyers were they?! nothing made sense in that courtroom; the writers didn't even try :( also the ep was all over the place

    ReplyDelete
  165. Yeah, I too think it's crazy to think that. Even if they returned Malcolm, that doesn't mean they'll do so again. Arrow is not SPN.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Thank you for taking the time to explain the comics background for me! I've seen other people posting similar stuff about Deathstroke/Slade, but am still hoping the "good guy" Slade isn't lost forever. At the very least, I hope Arrow writers and showrunners give us a well-written, good story out of it.

    ReplyDelete
  167. She can really do a better job.She has really expressive eyes and acts well in emotional scenes. I'm frankly not buying the oliver and Laurel angle. Don't know why? Katie cassidy is good but I want better. Just my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  168. You know what's funny? That Marc Guggenheim, who wrote this episode, is a real lawyer who actually wrote for The Practice and Law&Order. I think the original draft was probably much better but this is not a court show and eventually, this didn't really work for this show.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Agree, agree, and agree!! But I actually found the episode to be satisfying Vertigo-wise because I just wanted him dead. BUT, when they resurrected Malcolm, I was like, "WTF writers! There are million other villains in the DC universe but you had to recycle one over and over and over again! Freaking lazy!" Malcolm might have been the best villain, but resurrecting a villain has always reflected badly towards the protagonist and this is not good. This show will plummet if Malcolm doesn't go away soon.

    ReplyDelete
  170. The Count "dying" - until he is magically not dead - was teh best thing about the episode for me.

    ReplyDelete
  171. I like season 2 much better than season 1, but I have to say this...

I'm really sick of this "shocking" scenes when someone wakes up from the dead. It's not really shocking, it's lame. It's like some kind of crappy teenage drama like PLL or TVD. I was OK with Sara because I like her character. I understand they brought Malcolm back, because in the comics the bad guys come back all the time. But all this is just becoming overkill. Who's gonna come back next, Tomy?

And Thea being Malcolm's daughter - who the f*** cares??? I didn't see that coming but it wasn't shocking either. I actually don't care at all. I'm watching TV show called Arrow, not Thea Queen/Arrow's family/Arrow's family drama.

I'm a big fan of superheroes and I'm disappointed that Arrow is on The CW. I don't want to know what they will do with Flash.

    ReplyDelete
  172. I hate this episode. I haven't been this disappointed in a show I love season 8 of Supernatural. It was one ludicrous plot after another ending in soap opera cliche. Way to shoot the shark before jumping it Arrow writers.

    ReplyDelete
  173. I have no problem with her at all.She is not my favourite character but boy oh boy do people exaggerate their reasonings for their hate against her

    ReplyDelete
  174. Wow how sad, you do realise Malcolm didn't die but faked his death

    ReplyDelete
  175. Awesome last scene! I liked the acting, directing, dialogue, etc. It was really well done. I was initially almost dreading the Malcolm Merlyn return, but when I saw the scene, and felt the danger and menace he presented, I was glad to have him back as the villain again. Malcolm, and his Dark Archer alter ego, is the best villain this show has so far. I'm sorry, but Brother Blood is not a very good character imo. I'm not a big comic book junkie, so maybe you guys who are, enjoy Blood a lot more than I have so far. Also, I loved Gabel on Fringe, but did not think the Count was that good a villain either. A bit over the top. Glad he's dead now.

As for the trial storyline, I thought Moira had a lot of good scenes in this episode. The actress has been doing such a great job. I think she's the best actor on the show. She's never over the top, but shows so many layers and emotions in her acting. She easily conveys the complexity that is the Moira character.

The island scenes, in terms of amount and story, was well done. I'm amazed at the loyalty and friendship between Oliver, Shado, and Slade. It would really suck to see them become adversaries, if that's the path this show takes with their story.

Loved the Oliver and Felicity scenes. I saw it as friends who really care, and probably love, each other. I didn't see it as a sexual, "in love" interaction. I look forward to seeing more scenes that will add depth to their relationship. If the show chooses to go the couples route with them, I'd be all for it, if it's organic, and well-written. Felicity has been my favorite character on the show, since her introduction, and I love all of her scenes. However, I prefer she remain well-written, and not have the show just do fan pandering.

The episode was very entertaining, despite flaws. The pacing has been mostly pretty good on the show so far. The storytelling is still quite gripping, if not always consistent and lacking in sense. For a show in its second season, I'm pretty happy with how good the show is, in keeping things interesting, and moving plot forward. I look forward to the continuation of the story for all of the characters.
