Another small update for you all.
As you know here at SpoilerTV we have give you the ability to change the banner that appears at the top of the site. You can either use the official banner, or one of the past official banners, or use one of your own or pick from our user created.
However, up until now, it's not been possible to turn off the banner completely. We listened to your recent feedback and it seemed clear that for people accessing the site on smaller devices like Netbooks or Chromebooks that the the banner would take up unnecessary screen space.
So today, we're happy to announce that there is now a new option on the Banner Selector page (accessible via either the Help or Features Menu at the top of the page) to now select "No Banner". This will remove the banner completely.
You can always add it back in by going to the Banner Selector again and picking a banner.
We hope you find this useful.
As always, any questions/problems/suggestions please let us know in the comments below.
Nice! And the purple is really pretty - a lot better than the orange.
ReplyDeleteYep, I think the Orange was making people go blind lol
ReplyDeleteLOL.
ReplyDeleteI usually use my own banner, but I love it that I can turn it off when I use a smaller device. Thank you, this is really great.
ReplyDeleteThanks for changing the orange,it definitely hurt the eyes!
ReplyDeleteOur pleasure Sam. I find it useful on my Chromebook :)
ReplyDeleteMy Chromebook says thank you also. Great change. Y'all have spoiled me, I visit here many times a day.
ReplyDeleteHey guys,
ReplyDeleteReally awesome feature, but two things...
1. Now that we can remove the banner do you think you could change the background colour of the secondary navigation, just so it's obvious it's a navigation to a different type of content, all looks the same without the banner and blends together?
2. I'm not a fan of the purple - sorry! Anyway to change the colour to bring it in with the rest of the site, I think the purple has way to much contrast to the rest of the site and is drawing my attention away from the content of the articles. I've also reduced the font size of the h2 within the sidebar, I personally think it's a little large.
I've tried (using Chromes Dev tools) to show you what I mean: https://copy.com/HtgOoTID2hk324ig
Hope you don't think I'm being rude - just trying to help :)
