ReplyDeleteYes, the father-in-law, who has already been established as dead (in "Knockout" I believe), is being played by Mr Vereen.
ReplyDeleteBoth of Jackie's parents were dead and Vance helped to raise Jackie's brother, Michael.
I like seeing Breena name with palmer at the end
ReplyDeleteIt does say "surprise visit". Jackie hid the 2nd bank account from Leon, maybe there are other things she never told him. Maybe she had an abusive father, and simply said he was "dead" for simplicity.
ReplyDeleteJust my opinion but since it's the Christmas episode I doubt they going with abusive. No way would Leon ever welcome, forgive or let the man near his own kids if he'd been abusive to child Jackie.
ReplyDeleteGuessing the father who died was her step-father and that he raised her after this man walked out on his family.
Well he's an estranged father, so I'd say he walked out on the family and Vance just refers to him as dead because he has zero respect for the guy. Vance is the one struggling with forgiveness so I'd say the father in law is definitely a dog.
