ABC FAMILY ANNOUNCES PREMIERE DATES FOR ITS HIT RETURNING COMEDIES
“MELISSA & JOEY” AND “BABY DADDY,” AIRING JANUARY 15, 2014

Burbank, CA (November 25, 2013) – ABC Family continues its rollout of all new episodes of original series with the return of the hit comedies “Melissa & Joey” and “Baby Daddy” on January 15 (8:00PM – 9:00 PM ET/PT).

“Melissa & Joey” (8:00PM-8:30PM ET/PT) – In picking up where the summer cliff-hanger left off, Joe rushes home to tell Mel that he has feelings for her after their romantic night together in New Jersey. When he arrives, he’s shocked to find Austin (guest star Trevor Donovan) has shown up and wants to give his relationship with Mel another try. Deciding he can’t stay and watch them fall in love all over again, Joe quits. Meanwhile, Lennox plots to get Joe and Mel together and Ryder gets sick from his own cooking.

“Melissa and Joey” stars Melissa Joan Hart, Joey Lawrence, Taylor Spreitler and Nick Robinson, and is executive-produced by Bob Young & David Kendall, Paula Hart, Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence. “Melisa & Joey” is a multi-camera comedy that shoots in front of a live studio audience in Los Angeles.

“Baby Daddy” (8:30–9:00 PM ET/PT) – In “The Naked Truth,” Ben and Riley try to transition from friendship to being a couple, which results in a hugely embarrassing moment for Riley. Ben is still angry with Bonnie for bringing Emma’s mom Angela (guest star Mimi Gianopulos) back into their lives. Angela tries to show Bonnie she’s a capable mother while hoping for a fresh start with Ben. Meanwhile, Tucker tries to help Danny get over Riley and Amy with his five-step “T.U.C.K.E.R.” break-up recovery system.

“Baby Daddy” stars Jean-Luc Bilodeau, Derek Theler, Tahj Mowry with Melissa Peterman and Chelsea Kane. The series is created and executive produced by Dan Berendsen. “Baby Daddy” is a multi-camera comedy that shoots in front of a live studio audience in Los Angeles.

Both comedy series will return in January 2014 with all-new episodes, along with the previously announced all-new episodes of “Pretty Little Liars” and “Ravenswood” on Tuesday, January 7 and “Switched At Birth” and “The Fosters” on Monday, January 13.

  3. The Christmas episode might just be a side episode. I don't think it will connect with the storyline at all. With Joey quitting, a part of me knew that was going to happen, because when now that his feelings for Mel are out there (And the fact they already did the nasty), he's at a point of no return. For God's sake, he drove all the way from Jersey to tell Mel how he feels. Loving the fact Lennox is trying to put Mel and Joe together. Poor Ryder getting sick from his food. Maybe he gets food poisoning, which could explain why Mel and Joe seem to be in the hospital in the new promo.

  4. Sigh. I didn't like that new promo Cuz it spoiled everything for me. I mean yay I'm excited. But damn it's suppose to be a US promo not a freaking CN promo (I feel th canada promos show a lot more than the us ones) and that explains a lot. I'm not surprised Ryder got sick from his own food. I mean that boy is so naive. If he couldn't tell there was something between Joe and Mel, why would he even attempt to cook??? SmhFacepalm!!
